Configure outgoing mail... Problem

I use an iMac, OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.2

I can receive messages, BUT I can't send any message.  I think I need to go to preferences in my email to correct, but I don't know what to do when I get there.

Here's what I did:

1. open my email

2 went into preferences, my account

Account information indicates the following:

Account type: IMAP

Description: cloud

Alias and my info is everything is OK

Outgoing (SMTP) server name: NO

TLS certificate: NO

There is no Port and SSL is unchecked.

Can someone help me to implement?

Thank you.

Outgoing mail server should be set to iCloud. You should be able to select from the drop-down list.

  • Problems with outgoing mail

In the two months I have had repeated issues with sending emails from my iPad Air.  The e-mails appear in the sent folder but are not delivered.  I get e-mails very well.  I can e-mail sent from Web sites.  The rest of the iPad works fine, but at some point the outgoing mails fail to deliver or give me any kind of error message.  I spent 12 hours or so away on the phone with Apple engineers who confirmed the problem making me send emails which they had not received and then have me confirm that they appear on my device in the file sent. Apple has increased the question to a researcher 3/2, and that was the last I heard from them.  I completely deleted the iPad twice and set up as a new device, manually adding in the applications and data.  For a while, everything works as it is supposed to.  It is the well because the only way that I realize outgoing mail is broken is again send myself or my husband a test email.  In the meantime, everyone thinks I've fallen off the coast of the planet.  Someone at - it suggestions?

I'm sure you have tried this, but have you been in the settings, messages, contacts and calendars, remove your e-mail account, and then add the Info?

  • Cannot send outgoing mail, Time Warner Cable

    Separated from this thread.

I run a shelter in cold weather and an explosion of the e-mail sent to my volunteers around the same time, you have made and received the same exact error message.   As of today, I can't send messages.  I'm in trouble because I can't reach about 200 volunteers.  I called TWC and after about half an hour to work with me, said they can't help and this has to do with Microsoft.  I called Microsoft and they said that because I have Windows Live Mail and not Outlook, they cannot help me.  I have to buy the program in order to get direct help.  They gave me an e-mail of support to try (support.live.com) and these people want money - $42!.  I bought online a 2010 Outlook that I could download on the site and the computer would not download it.  I need to contact my volunteers or there will be a lot of people sleeping in the cold Tuesday night.  I really need help.  It was my error message:

The message could not be sent. The setting for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] Server may need to be configured. To find the server settings for ' * address email is removed from the privacy *', please contact your e-mail service provider.

The server response: 451 outgoing messages refused means that your computer is fine, but the server Timer Warner block your outgoing e-mail.  They do normally when they detect that you are sending too much email (like 200 people is probably far above their limit).  They do this to block spammers.

If you need to send more e-mail, you will need to get a paid service that specializes in these things.  Time Warner could have a business plan that is suitable for this purpose, or you could use a separate company, such as Constant Contact's e-mail Services.  There are a lot.

But your computer is perfectly fine, nothing on your end is the origin of the problem.

  • How to change the smtp Protocol. element of the outgoing mail server

When adding to an existing e-mail account, it is not possible to change the part "smtp." from the address of the outgoing mail server.
My smtp server name is "mailout.easymail.ca".
    How can I configure this?

The wizard does not any part of the server names. I think you're confusing a label that simply States the type of server with the actual server name text entry (or more accurately, the address).

A couple of my accounts using a format of "mail.example.com" and he had no difficulty at all by entering in these.

  • Outgoing mail won't since the 2.1 update

I had problems to my email, too, until I spent an hour on the phone with T-mobile and got the correct incoming server settings. Could be the same thing. Does anyone know the right settings for outgoing mail. I use hotmail instead of google mail.

    Things to check.

Make sure your username is you full e-mail address. XXXX & hotmail .com

Try changing your port out 25 instead of 587. and check also to use a secure connection.

Make sure that the password has been entered correctly, sometimes us mess up and don't forget to press the ALT key before the number. Is the same thing for the caps. Sometimes we hit it twice and it stay in capital letters.

  • Outgoing mail error message

my e-mail address is trying to send a video email and gets an error message.  Meanwhile, I'm not able to receive all my emails.  Whenever I try to update, it starts to send the e-mail message that contains an error.  How can I remove this outgoing mail?

Using Outlook Express?  You have apparent dbx file corruption.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Compact often as specified above.

  • Outgoing mail works is not on Windows Mail with Comcast

I have windows Vista and Windows Mail (non-living) V. 6.0. I had Comcast as my ISP for over 10 years and have had Comcast for installation as a POP account to send and receive mail. I recently bought a house in an area that is only served by wave broadband. In order to always keep my Comcast e-mail address, I asked someone else to host my old comcast email address. Comcast has interrupted my service, but I can still NMCS and receive e-mail via Comcast.net web mail portal and can also send and receive emails from comcast via my HTC Evo Shift 4 G but now... I can only RECEIVE but not send emails from Comcast on my Windows mail. None of these locations have changed, but I tried to use the another 587 instead of 25 for outgoing mail server port, but this is not enough. Is there something else that keeps me emails from sneding with my comcast e-mail address?

Comcast dictates what are their e-mail account settings. MS has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Your error message reflects the port 110 for incoming, never leaving. Your problem is most likely due to the analysis of e-mail.

You cannot configure Windows Mail to use an e-mail account on the Web (HTTP) on a computer that is running Windows Vista

Windows Mail can't stand the HTTP servers used by Hotmail and other web e-mail providers.

Use Windows Live Mail instead of Windows Mail Windows Live Mail is an e-mail program that you install on your computer. Windows Live Mail stores messages on your computer. This means that you can access, read, and compose e-mail messages even if you are not connected to the Internet.

Windows Live Mail works with popular Web-based e-mail services such as Hotmail, AOL mail, Google mail, and Yahoo! mail. Windows Live Mail is designed to configure automatically many popular e-mail services.

  • The outgoing mail server - unregistered Host field settings

    Hello.

I just installed a fresh copy of vCloud UM 3.2 and by setting the outgoing mail server field setting is not retained.

I enter the host name of Server mail in the host field, none for the authentication and the inlet and to e-mail addresses.

I click on save, tried clicking on save 2 - 3 times but if disconnect me and back again the host field is empty.

If anyone has experienced this problem or is it possible to fill in the field when editing a file maybe?

    Thank you

    Damian

    Hi dbricceti,

My VMware is down now so I hope this e-mail you will get instead,

There are two save buttons, I never noticed that directly under the host server field, port information and credentials.

I kept clicking on one at the bottom of the page.

I completely missed the middle of the page, could not see the wood through the trees.

    Hope this resolves for you.

    Kind regards

    Sun Solaris 11

    DB 11g

First of all I apologize for the users here because I have to repost this. May be that I did not ask good question last time

Currently, my users received approval of expenditure or requsition of internet in an e-mail message with an attachment and when users open the attachment the Oracle open and let HTML page click on approve or reject. It works very well to the outlook office e-mail. But when users receive email on iPad that the attachment does not open. It gives the blank page.

Can someone advise how the user can approve notification of workflow of the iPad.  It's my analysis to our requirement. Can someone advise I am on the right track. If there is no document available Oracle then please provide the detail doscument or sequence of doscument that I need to follow

Implemented the IMAP4 incoming e-mail unique compilance with the Inbox, to PROCESS files and THROW

    Configure e-mail entering MTM

Ignore the configuratiion of e-mail out of OTM because he was already working. It is set to SMTP

Check the incoming and outgoing server ebs

If you cannot ping the IMAP server or telnet SMTP of the ebs server. Make sure that firewall/ports are open

Add the server incoming and outgoing in host server file

Apply the patch 16328729 for iPad compatibility

    Test it

What would be more implications of this change. users always able to approve the notification using the attachment will be or will change.
