personalized self-service portal oracle Forms link

Guru,

I have problem with creating a link on a page of self-service (workbench for compensation for administrators).

I wanted a link that calls a function of Oracle (custom form) forms. I created a link and gave the name of the function, and she in fact opens the form.

But the question iam having is that when you click on the link, it shows you a blank page with the oracle applications icon and then open the form.

I have to press the back button on the browser to see the self service page.

I used the image target property and tried to set to _blank, _self, _parent. but whenever I see the same blank screen and I always have to press the back button on the browser to see the self service page.

Please see the attachment for the page I mention.

Thank you

Garnier,

If you look at the html code that is generated when you create a new item of type link, it creates a call to OA.jsp. Something like this:

However, when BSE opens a form it calls RF.jsp on the OA_HTML. Look for example a simultaneous requests link looks like this:

( http://ppcm02.Internal.VMMC.org:8058/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=90&resp_id=50957&resp_appl_id=20003&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US') ">applications"

If you need to add a RawText element to your oa page and call RF.jsp, passing it the similar parameters as shown above (but for your particular work of course).

  • How to create Self Service Portal in Vcenter Orchestrator? times

    Dear team,

I want to create the Self Service Portal to reset user password in Active Directory in Vcenter Orchestartor. Could someone guide me for this

Note: I installed Vmware Vcenter Orchestrator 5.5.

    TechM

I hope it would be only certain types of admins/helpdesk do PW reset because you must connect to the WebView in order to run the workflow... in any case, you can follow this tutorial for a Webview based in vCO:

    http://www.vcoteam.info/articles/learn-VCO/107-create-a-simple-VCO-self-service-VM-provisioning-Portal-part-3.html

    Regarding the other prerequisites:

vCO must have the ad plugin installed and configured to use SSL when communicating your AD environment. It is a requirement for users created with passwords and resetting passwords.

When you get to the step of the tutorial for mapping a workflow, you'll want to use the workflow to "Change password". This is a workflow of library Active Directory that are available after the installation of the plugin AD and the vCenter Orchestrator Server service restarts.

or is the substitution of VO is the only way to go?

    Help, please...

    Thank you

    Gasmi

    Garnier,

There is a quick and easy way to do it. Not sure how you feel well. You can change the vo xml file and edit the sql code. This of course not patch resistant. The alternative is a substitution of the VO.  A quick dirty way is to get a copy of $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/personalinformation/server/BasicDetailsCurrentVO.xml and modify the sql statement:

    Change in per.national_identifier

    TO

    "XXX - XXX - |  SUBSTR(per.national_identifier,8,4) national_identifier

This apparent changes the view object. Of course the right way is seen object substitution.

If this resolves the problem please mark the correct answer.

    Kind regards.

  • JDev11G Vs Oracle Forms 11G

    Hello

When it comes to the infrastructure to build an application on what benefits haver us with JDev11g forms 11g.

Published by: OracleBabu on June 16, 2011 07:24

Forms and require all two JDev/ADF FMW, or maybe I can be more specific and say that you need a license of FMW. Oracle Forms is accredited to work on Oracle FMW and you pay a license for it. For the ADF, you can deploy on a server of Oracle applications no, but you must still license FMW - but it is possible that the actual cost is less than the license of forms (but depends on).

Here is my point of view - if you have loads of skills of forms and are already building Forms applications then it would be wise to consider forms. However, you might (and certainly consider) a long-term JDev/ADF. It could be a stand-alone well-defined project could be the perfect testbed for redevelopment of the ADF. The other point to consider is that this demand will be doing, how it will be used, and how it will be architected. If you are looking for expanded internet "self-service" applications and forms, then maybe isn't just for that. If you want to use BPM or Web Center then maybe JDev is better suited.

Just think if you were doing some DIY, you start by saying "I'll use a hammer, okay, now what's the problem"... .or you would say "what problem am I trying to solve and what tool works best. After all, if you choose a hammer and what you want to do is paint a room then its going to be very difficult for you! (o).

  • Sudo Self Service

I'm pretty new to VMware and all the cool stuff you can do with it and am curious to know if my scenario makes sense to try to accomplish and how I could continue to do so.  I don't want a step by step, only use CE.

I have a Windows AD domain with probably up to 100 host ESX VM 4, 5 and 5.1.  Each at a different site.  We use not vcenter Server to manage sites.  Really we got so much more for each site that is amazing, and we had only 2 or 3 VMs.

I want to do is create a space in the ESX servers on each site to enable some of the local IT people to run virtual machines for testing purposes without having access to actual production machines.  A bit of a self-service portal.  I don't want to not implement vcloud Director, or even really automate a large part of the deployment.  At least examine the idea that a user can create a virtual machine and mount and .iso to make their VM.  At some point, we could get ovf and models, but for now we just want to allow some people create a virtual machine to test with.

I was thinking about pools of resources with permissions.  Thinking about a better way?

With vCenter deployed, I am able to create pools of resources with permissions specific to allow some users to create virtual machines within the pool.

The downside is that, when a virtual machine is moved from one group to the other that they do not inherit the permissions of that pool of resources.  Manually (or using the script) have to redo the permissions on the virtual computer once it has been moved.

  • Update of personal information through employee self-service

    Hi all

I hope you guys can help me with this problem that that a user is confronted.

The user has updated their privacy - they entered an entry into force with regard to while the changes would be effective.

The user has spotted while they misspelled his last name and you want to update their name again. However, when they're going to update their personal information, there is no option which is given to the user to allow them to make changes to the entry into force they have registered. Instead, the system gives them the ability to view the changes to come.
I understand that the user cannot use the "correct personal info" option because it won't that make change their current information.

Is it possible, that the user can update their personal information through employee self-service? Or did once they have updated their information they must wait for this entry into force, until they can make other changes?

I hope that all makes sense.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    SOF

    I guess that's a standard feature of oracle self-service.
Future changes should be removed first, and that cannot be done through employee self service, or through Manager self-service.

However customization can be made to the page such as adding a new button that will take care of your condition.

    Thank you.

  • Do you have a Self Service page updated person EIT as a super user?

    Hi people.

It is seeded page free accessible service from Self Service employee and Manager Self-service for updating the person with additional information.

Do we have such a self service page where great update/add user records in EIT person for all employees based on a security profile? From now on, I can see that interface to forms of anyone available liability HRMS Manager EIT.

    Thank you
    Lal

Usually users use just the Forms interface.

However, there is no reason why you can not put the SMS EIT feature on the menu of your HR professional instead. If you do this, the HR professional users would use the 'Search' box at the top of the page to find people in their security profile (rather than see a graphical hierarchy) - they can then them transact exactly the same way as would a Manager.

    I hope this helps.

The Forms Runtime will use the version of Java that are specified in the formsweb.cfg.  Take a look at your formsweb.cfg and check the jpi_classid = and jpi_mimetype = parameter values and put them in the Java version you want to use.
