Implemented VM vCAC self-service portal

Hello

I configured the self-service portal vCAC windows virtual machine. The configured virtual machine does not have the IP address and DNS of pools of network settings I created for the Group of companies it takes APIPA IP address instead. I created master plan of one model of windows 2012r2. I just created VM and converted to model and this model I have configured in the generation of master plan information (action - clone). Please guide if anything is missing. My IaaS server is on windows 2012 r2.

Thanks in advance.

  • How to create Self Service Portal in Vcenter Orchestrator? times

    Dear team,

    I want to create the Self Service Portal to reset user password in Active Directory in Vcenter Orchestartor. Could someone guide me for this

    Note: I installed Vmware Vcenter Orchestrator 5.5.

    I hope it would be only certain types of admins/helpdesk do PW reset because you must connect to the WebView in order to run the workflow... in any case, you can follow this tutorial for a Webview based in vCO:

    http://www.vcoteam.info/articles/learn-VCO/107-create-a-simple-VCO-self-service-VM-provisioning-Portal-part-3.html

    Regarding the other prerequisites:

    vCO must have the ad plugin installed and configured to use SSL when communicating your AD environment. It is a requirement for users created with passwords and resetting passwords.

    When you get to the step of the tutorial for mapping a workflow, you'll want to use the workflow to "Change password". This is a workflow of library Active Directory that are available after the installation of the plugin AD and the vCenter Orchestrator Server service restarts.

  • personalized self-service portal oracle Forms link

    Guru,

    I have problem with creating a link on a page of self-service (workbench for compensation for administrators).

    I wanted a link that calls a function of Oracle (custom form) forms. I created a link and gave the name of the function, and she in fact opens the form.

    But the question iam having is that when you click on the link, it shows you a blank page with the oracle applications icon and then open the form.

    I have to press the back button on the browser to see the self service page.

    I used the image target property and tried to set to _blank, _self, _parent. but whenever I see the same blank screen and I always have to press the back button on the browser to see the self service page.

    Please see the attachment for the page I mention.

    Thank you

    Garnier,

    If you look at the html code that is generated when you create a new item of type link, it creates a call to OA.jsp. Something like this:

    Click here for Cool form!

    However, when BSE opens a form it calls RF.jsp on the OA_HTML. Look for example a simultaneous requests link looks like this:

    ( http://ppcm02.Internal.VMMC.org:8058/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=90&resp_id=50957&resp_appl_id=20003&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US') ">applications"

    If you need to add a RawText element to your oa page and call RF.jsp, passing it the similar parameters as shown above (but for your particular work of course).

    but it redirects to the page to disconnect.
    http://localhost:8080/xlWebApp/LogoffTimeout.do

    Is it possible to fix it?

    Hello

    forgetPassword.do requires so value of the method, just make http://localhost:8080/xlWebApp/forgetPassword.do?method=displayVerifyUserId for integration, it will redirect you to the next page for the user name.

  • Sudo Self Service

    I'm pretty new to VMware and all the cool stuff you can do with it and am curious to know if my scenario makes sense to try to accomplish and how I could continue to do so.  I don't want a step by step, only use CE.

    I have a Windows AD domain with probably up to 100 host ESX VM 4, 5 and 5.1.  Each at a different site.  We use not vcenter Server to manage sites.  Really we got so much more for each site that is amazing, and we had only 2 or 3 VMs.

    I want to do is create a space in the ESX servers on each site to enable some of the local IT people to run virtual machines for testing purposes without having access to actual production machines.  A bit of a self-service portal.  I don't want to not implement vcloud Director, or even really automate a large part of the deployment.  At least examine the idea that a user can create a virtual machine and mount and .iso to make their VM.  At some point, we could get ovf and models, but for now we just want to allow some people create a virtual machine to test with.

    I was thinking about pools of resources with permissions.  Thinking about a better way?

    With vCenter deployed, I am able to create pools of resources with permissions specific to allow some users to create virtual machines within the pool.

    The downside is that, when a virtual machine is moved from one group to the other that they do not inherit the permissions of that pool of resources.  Manually (or using the script) have to redo the permissions on the virtual computer once it has been moved.

    I tried http://FQDN/org/company as the name.

    Documentation of stupid.

    System settings > public address was incorrectly.

    I got it on https://fqdn/

    It should have been https://fqdn/cloud/

    1 behavior happens to every free service (standard and custom) request.
    2. Since our configuration of SOUL self-service application use in its trust hierarchy, we test approval groups using direct transaction test case by "The responsibility of the analyst approval management system" and providing the current Transaction ID, the test result was valid and we could retrieve the string for the necessary approvals.
    3. after getting this error the transaction stored in the hr_API_transactions table status 'W' 'works under process ".

  • Absence management Manager Self Service

    Dear gurus,
    I have a problem in the management of absences Manager Self Service.

    Here are the requirements:

    I define a rule of SOUL for HR_LOA_JSP_PRC for the employee: HR_POSITION_LEVEL: require approval up to the first position

    When an employee 'X' creates a lack, he goes to his Manager reporting 'Y', that is correct.
    but when a manager creates a lack on behalf of his employee. He's going to report Manager to 'Y '. that is not necessary. It will automatically approve & stop there.

    Please can anyone help me regarding this.

    ex: position next to the hierarchy like

    Employee (COMPUTER engineer)-> reports of (Manager)-> reports (CEO)

    When the COMPUTER engineer creates an absence request, he goes to the Manager for approval, which is correct according to the rule of the SOUL.

    However, when IT Manager creates an absence to his employee (name) (COMPUTER engineering), it's going to CEO for approval. I don't want to. I need the approved absence will automatically & stop. When IT Manager creates lack of his employee (computer engineer) name.

    but the Manager when HE creates his own absence then it will be goes the CEO for approval, but not for his employee (engineer).

    It will implement in oracle R12.1.2

    Hope you understand my needs.

    Your solution will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Shariff

    Hello

    You can use this function to obtain the selected user id:

    Please find the fucntion required to be added to our database:

    CREATE or REPLACE FUNCTION TYR_GET_SUPERVISOR (p_transaction_id in NUMBER
    )
    -Returns the person_id for the head of Department.
    RETURN VARCHAR2
    AS
    L_person_id NUMBER (10);
    L_selected_person_id hr_api_transactions.selected_person_id%TYPE;
    L_creator_person_id hr_api_transactions.creator_person_id%TYPE;
    l_business_group_id NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    fnd_profile.get ("PER_BUSINESS_GROUP_ID", l_business_group_id);
    BEGIN
    SELECT selected_person_id, creator_person_id
    IN L_selected_person_id, L_creator_person_id
    OF hr_api_transactions
    WHERE transaction_id = p_transaction_id;
    EXCEPTION
    WHILE OTHERS THEN
    RETURNS A NULL VALUE.
    END;

    BEGIN

    SELECT paaf.supervisor_id
    IN l_person_id
    OF per_all_people_f women's wear.
    per_all_assignments_f ADP
    WHERE papf.person_id = paaf.person_id
    and papf.person_id = l_selected_person_id
    AND SYSDATE BETWEEN paaf.effective_start_date AND paaf.effective_end_date
    AND SYSDATE BETWEEN papf.effective_start_date AND papf.effective_end_date;

    EXCEPTION
    WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN
    l_person_id: = null;
    END;
    IF (L_selected_person_id = L_person_id) OR (l_creator_person_id = l_person_id) THEN
    RETURNS A NULL VALUE.
    ON THE OTHER
    RETURN "BY:". TO_CHAR (L_person_id);
    END IF;
    EXCEPTION
    WHILE OTHERS THEN
    RETURNS A NULL VALUE.
    END TYR_GET_SUPERVISOR;

    Then you can use it directly as a dynamic approval group request:

    SELECT THE DOUBLE TYR_GET_SUPERVISOR(:transactionId)

  • SOAP request header question self-service

    Hello
    I'm having a problem with the SOAP web service "SelfServiceTemplateRule" request
    The SOAP header is sent from the self-service application does not contain the element UsernameToken or PasswordText. It does not contain the attribute SessionType however.

    This is the message sent to the server:

    The SelfServiceConfiguration.properties file contains the following values:

    SIEBEL_PROXY_USER_NAME = GUESTCST
    SIEBEL_PROXY_PASSWORD = GST #.

    I tested the web service target using SoapUI and got a valid answer.

    Someone would be able to provide some guidance on how to fix this? This be corrected by the administration of the implementation of self-service?

    Thank you
    James

    Hi John,.

    What is the problem here? Username and password not bening is sent to the web server of Siebel. If Yes, then this is not a problem :). This is how it works. SelfServiceTemplateRuleQueryPage didn't need of any user id and password to send the response.

  • Extending employee Self service

    Hi all

    I'm new to OAF, so please, be gentle. :-)

    I need to update the page from the Self Service used in R12 (12.0.4). I downloaded and implemented JDev and made some of the tutorials in Toolbox.

    How can first question - I get the files on the server of R12 to update?

    Second question - all I want to do is information return assignment after a specific date (hard-coded). Am I right in thinking I just need to update the original Version?

    Thank you

    Alex

    Hello

    You must identify the VO, need to be changed, this page link will provide u all the information, you can find the original Version attached against the u of a field for which you want to make changes, also you will find the hyperlink on the name of VO, when you click on that will give u full of VO details and patch of VO where he resides (these files are always put in higher public) , "Java System Properties" link will give u the details of common_top.

    1.), you must create a workspace and a project
    (2.) in the project, you must create the same package where the VO is bieng put on the server
    3.) transfer the original Version required the help of Toad or any FTP utility on the package u created previously

    you put VO personalized custom package

    For more details on VO extensions, you can go through this link

    Hello

    I am new to web services so now I want to know how you can hit the web services via the blackberry app?

    Y at - there no web service sample I can use to test the object.

    In fact, I want to know the implementation of the web service on blackberry.

    Please provice me useful links and resources.

    What is KSOAP2 in blackberry?

    I think there are 2 ways to use web services

    1 http

    2 SOAP

    I want to know the two tests.

    Please help me.

    Sorry for non trivial stuff like this there is nothing like "sample code" of my side - I work in a business environment, not as a developer open source.

    is there an option in cisco ISE to send by e-mail to the network/security administrator after guests finish the self service/delivery process?

    Unfortunately not. Prior to ISE 1.2 administrators were able to set up custom alerts. This feature has since been withdrawn.
