  Hiya. I have a student who has a problem. She has created a complex object using mutiple effects (arc, shadow, the living text, degraded) to create a slot machine. When she tries to pass it in perspective, he refuses to go.   Hello. I used the selection point of view tool several times without any problems. But today, he refuses to work. Art placed (I tried a group copied and pasted layers of AI, PNG and the placed PSD image) everything is there and refuses to move.   I did experiment with the perspective tool.  It seems very useful, but there is a problem that I can't work around.

  The line thickness does not change in perspective.  By example, if I create a zone along the vanishing point, the width of the line around the entire area is exactly the same thing, rather than the width that will appear smaller on the side that is further away.

  Should I take care of the processing in photoshop and bring it in illustrator after?  Looks like a bad workaround solution.

  You are on the right tool? The tool Perspective grid (SHIFT + P) allows you to adjust the grid.

• Illustrator CS5 perspective tool

  I try to add a work of art (PSD & jpg - no pictures) imported into Illustrator and place it in the grid view.  I select the active grid on the widget (top left of the screen), then go to the perspective tool and select the work, but it will not move at all.  What I'm doing wrong... ?

  Pixel based images requires to use chains. They cannot be attached to the perspective directly grid.

  I would like know if there is an equivalent in illustrator as in photoshop tool when we can use the change > transform > perspective

  Im trying to distort a texture in illustrator using perspective.its one file jpeg, im also trying to use the new perspective of the grid.

  Prspective grid does not work with raster images, you would have to live trace object and then apply it to the grid.

  However, there are ways to do what you want

  first way.

  1. Select the image, it must be incorporated and go to object > envelope distort > make with mesh

  2. give a definition of column 1 row 1

  3. Select the free transform tool Panel tool

  4 click on one of the croners and then hold the option buttons shift command keys pc Mac or Ctrl Alt Shift and drag

• Crop tool question

  Hi, I have a small question which I can not find the answer too. I am looking for the help PS system with no luck. I use PS basic tools for editing images of product here at work. Basically, everything I do is crop, resize, adjust the contrast/brightness and so on.

  Usually when the cropping of the images I use the crop tool, select the area I want recorded, then press enter and everything outside the boundaries of drop is cropped away. Yesterday, I noticed that when I click on the tool button crop, and then drag my cursor around the product and press ENTER, everything disappears, except a small dot, my background color. Well, when I say at bottom, I mean if I take the picture of the product on a brown background, the color of pixels are few remaining same Brown. But NO picture at all on the subject. As far as I know, has not intentionally change the crop tool settings, but something has changed and I can't understand how to restore the original settings. I hope that someone can not help. Thanks in advance!

  Clear the fields in the Options box when you use the crop tool.  Looks like you typed something in the width, height, or resolution fields and he calls the resizing behavior of the crop tool.

  The tools are located in the toolbar on the left. the two pens are in the same group of pen and the others are in the Group of shapes.   For a beginner, I advise to use shapes instead of paths (except where they are required) for learning.
