  Windows XP usually only comes in 32-bit versions.  There is a 64-bit version of Windows XP, but it is poorly supported with drivers, was never very popular and is pretty well not supported now.  Why, exactly, do you think that you need a 64 bit on an old computer OS?

  64-bit system, but won't work on a 64-bit browser.

The options that you mention "workflow" and apply to the final rendered file opened in Photoshop (bit depth, color profile, pixel dimensions and the value of the PPI).
