• Lost the screen of welcome with identifiers and icons.

  After fiddling around with various locations in the control panel and my computer, somewhere, I changed the way I connect to the computer. Instead of the usual welcome screen all that I get is a small window of MS asking me to enter the user name and password.   (2) what happens when you try to change the image?

  (3) you get an error message / code?

  (4) is a security software installed on the computer?

  (5) have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

  This happens usually if Windows 8 is not enabled.

  You may lose everything.  iMessage, like most e-mail services, don't keep permanently undeliverable messages.  They only keep in the short period send queue (I don't know exactly how much time but some Apple tech sites indicate no more than 10 days to two weeks) until they are purged.  That's pretty standard as otherwise, large volume, messaging services would be sitting on tera-bytes of messages not delivered each month.

  You actually have to change my phone number?  If not, let alone sign and only in iMessage when you have the new phone with this set of numbers upward to the service.

  Since your post I understand that you get an error that your computer is not authorized for items purchased on your iPhone.  As you tried to allow already and know that your computer is allowed, then it seems that you have the content of another Apple ID on your iPhone.  If you have any other Apple ID then please allow your computer so that it be synchronized.
