• I would like to make a picture resembles an oil painting.

  I just bought a membership to CC 2014 and have a beautiful portrait that I would try a paint filter oil. I see that there is no oil filter in Photoshop CC. I have seen tutorials online that have a filter of oil paint, but which must be Photoshop CS6 or 5. Do anyone know where I can find a tutorial on how to do it in Photoshop or I will have to buy a special program for this purpose. Thank you.

  Last filter appeared in CS6 oil painting, but has been removed b/c Pixel Bender (which she was built on) has caused a lot of problems in CC.  While I have not used it myself, I understand that a good replacement plugin.

  In the finder, located in the PICTURES folder there are 3 library of as I will show here.

  Could be one of them - you decide - person other than you, who controls - hold down the option key while launching Photos and the use of the select Library window to test each - quit Photos while you what to use as a default is defined as pictures opens always the last library used when you start so it is available

  One you use is shown in the photo ==> of general preferences to the right of the location of the library

• Photo books has changed recently?  I used to be able to place 12 photos per page, and now I can only make 4.

  I made the photo books on my Mac for years by I have Photo app. I now use the new Ap Photos. In the past when I would create a book and went to the page layout, I had the opportunity to take up to 12 photos on a page.  Tonight when I went to create a book, I received only the possibility of up to 4 photos on a page.  I called Apple to find out if there is a change or if I have a problem with my application but three phone calls and no response.  If anyone else has experienced this?

• Improve the oil paint filter?

  It is very good that the filter of the oil painting is reintroduced in the new update, but I think it should be improved. It could be better.

  Once the filter oil painting left 2014 CC Photoshop I resorted to use the mobile app to reach oil painting effect.

  Now the oil paint filter is back in the new update, just a suggestion to improve it.

  Update just select in the Help menu of Photoshop Lucy. The latest version is 2015.1.2 or if you prefer to download and install offline

  I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card of 775M 2048 MB running on an iMac OS X El Capitan, which is not listed as supported for the use of the filter of painting in oil. Is there a work around for this or I have to get a different graphics card to make this filter work?

  I have Nvidia experience in my PC, so I do my graphic card updated her!

  Today I have re-updated drivers my directly from the Nvidia site! So its all is ok now! Oil painting works!

  After driver installation, you can enable OpenCL in preferences > performance > advance settings > use OpenCL

• The reintroduced filter oil painting is not available

  I just downloaded the latest version of PS cc 2015. I saw online that the oil filter was reintroduced with this update, but it is grayed out when I go into the menu drop-down aesthetic. I tried to make the image 8 and 16-bit, changed the photo to a smart object, so the filter oil paint is always grey. Is it because I have the plan of Lightroom/Photoshop that I can't use the filter?

  The name of the program is Photoshop CC 2015, not Photoshop CC. He's not here, that's why you don't see it. Discontinued.

  I called Adobe today about a problem and they suggested that update of Photoshop CC CC Photoshop (2014).  I did as they suggested and then uninstalled the old CC of Photoshop.  What has happened to the filter "oil paint".  I use it all the time and now I can not find.  I tried to get help from Adobe by phone but I learned that they are pretty useless as a society.  Can someone help me find this filter?

  At this point, your only option if you want to use the oil paint filter, is to reinstall the earlier version of the CC, but I would say that there is a fair chance that a new version of IO. Paint will come with the next version of Photoshop.
