Photo does not open in CS6

Hello!  I have the updated photoshop cc and when I go to open a picture to work on it is automatically opened in camera raw, and then when I hit save or it disappears and does not open in photoshop.

Can anyone help?  This is getting frustrating - and yes my programs are updated.

Thank you!

  • Photos does not open on the shared Volume

    Hello

I have a mini Mac running Mac OS X Server 10.9.5 as our server family with a shared folder "Photos", which contains a folder with our library of Photos (200 + GB).

This allows me to mount the shared folder and open pictures to access the library (to download photos, etc.) on my MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.10.5.

It worked fine for a while but now I can't open the shared pictures library.

On the library to open, it says "library could not be opened.  Pictures has attempted to repair the library 'Hatken Photos of but is unable to open it. Open the other... Quit smoking»

    Console error messages are:

I manually changed the permissions on the entire library on the server and the shared folder for read and write by all.

I had a few crashes photo earlier and there are a few files lock inside the photo library:

which seems reasonable (a former process) but I am not convinced about deleting these, unless someone recommends.

I am running version 1.0.1 of Photos which I believe is behind the latest version.  Is it because I need to upgrade to get the latest version of Photos to El Capitan?  It's embarrassing, especially if the Photos is buggy on Yosemite (as it seems).

    Recommendations or suggestions?

    Thank you very much

    Ashley.

I am running version 1.0.1 of Photos which I believe is behind the latest version.  Is it because I need to upgrade to get the latest version of Photos to El Capitan?  It's embarrassing, especially if the Photos is buggy on Yosemite (as it seems).

Photo is part of the system and is updated by installing the updates and upgrades for your system.  Updated the Photos 1.3 with new features and bug fixes, upgrade to Mac OS X 10.11.2.

shared 'Photos', with a folder that contains a folder with our library of Photos (200 + GB).

A shared folder is not enough to share a library between multiple user accounts. If someone wrote to the library can change the ownership of the items in the library file and the previous owner can no longer open the library.

What helps is changing photo library to another disk (partition) with the "Ignore ownership on this volume" enabled flag.

  • Cs6 InDesign does not open InDesign cs6 file? says he's got cs7... but it is not

I'm working on a HUGE project for a few years (fault of customer, months between changes on their part) and I just got a huge amount of changes I want to start working. When I go to open the Indesign file, it won't open! I get the error 'cannot open 'file name.indd' because she has been saved with a newer version of Adobe InDesign (CS7.0). You must use this version or later to open the file. To then allow him to open up in this version, click Save as InDesign CS4 or later version, or exporting to IDML. »

The thing is, I don't have CS7 or CC, I never have. Only worked on this file on a computer. When I click on the file in the Finder, it mentions it as CS6, just like older versions of the file (previous incarnations of the project, changes, etc.).

What the heck! I'm on a Macbook Pro running Mavricks suite CS6 full, and everything was peachy until now. Absolutely not saving the file in CC or CS7 and is itself classified CS6 (in the finder info as I mentioned before)...

Anyone has any ideas on this? I'd like to get operational and get this project going again.

    Help, please!

Someone had CC (maybe a trial) and saved files... Still, it is said in the finder doesn't mean anything - the operating system knows only the latest version currently installed.

  • photos does not open in camera raw editor on Surface 4 pro

I have a new Surface Pro 4. I installed PhotoShop cc and all current updates. I can't open the file in the editor of camera raw. When I open a photo, the image is solid yellow and the background is blue. I called the support pro Surface... they were no help

ACR use your GPU, perform the surface 4 pro has all its windows 10 updates and firmware updates.  Bad CC is updated and you ACR 9.2.  Usage menu help > about Plig-ins > Camera raw.  If you have 9.2 RTAs use Edit menu > Preferences > Camera Raw and try disabling support GPU.

  • Click on the Photo icon and it does not open. I recently downloaded and installed El Capitan and it seems to have slowed things. How can I solve this problem?

I click on the Photo icon, but it does not open. I recently downloaded and installed El Capitan 10.11.5, and I wonder if it is slow things down.  My iMac has 2 GB of memory and 124,75 GB of free space. Picture worked fine, then I wonder what is happening. Can anyone help?

Yes, it's probably slow things down a GB of s2 on memory is the absolute minimum - you need to update your memory which is cheap and easy - a reasonable and a reliable source is Other World Computing- there are others including Apple

  • Photo Explosion Deluxe 3.0 does not open.

I have owned this program for several years, it has worked well up to 6 months or more. I orginally had a MPEG Driver error not found. I have download a patch to get it working very well up until Friday, July 30, 2010, now when I try to open it I get trying to pass by starting diagnosis did not help. Then I disabled everthing in the start menu and then on the services tab in the system configuration. It worked for a day then that leave work. Then last night, I started my computer in safe mode, this work I used the program with no problems. Today, I started again in safe mode does not open same message "program stopped working, windows will close info program went to Micro Soft notifies when the response is available.» I also tried to unload and reload the program that nothing works. Do you have more suggestions? I have Vista on my computer.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello tly0717,

In the Windows Vista Compatibility Center, it does not show that Photo Explosion Deluxe is compatible with Windows vista. I suggest that you try to run it in Compatibility Mode.

If this does not help, then I suggest that you contact the manufacturer to see if they have updated or patches updates that make compatible.

  • Windows Photo Gallery does not open the zipped files

Photo Gallery Windows does not open the photos that are in the zipped files received by Email. He said: Photo Gallery can't open this photo or video. This file format is not supported, or you do not have the latest updates to the photo gallery.

    This is expected behavior...

Unzip the file and open the uncompressed version. Or just open
the zip files and do drag the photos on the zip file and
drop in a new folder.then you can open.

  • Photo Gallery does not open some files (pictures) that he used. He said: it is not "supported."

Photo Gallery does not open some files that it used.  He said that its not "supported"?  In addition, I can't open some of the files that are in that I think an older version of word.  How can I fix these problems?  There is no window that opens for updates when opening Photo Gallery.

Well, you don't say what files it used to open then try this. Control Panel, programs, by default, set your default progaams, Windows Photo Gallery, set this program as default.
