  For years, I used iPhoto to edit my image - sharpness, contrast, highlights/shadows, Lighten/Darken points. Since the update to OSX 10.11, iPhoto has disappeared, replaced by pictures, which seems to have very little editing tools. I am disgusted. What are the options should I now? A friend suggested using Adobe Lightroom.

• Photos edited in Photos App is missing after upgrade to MacOS Sierra

  After updating to Mac OS Sierra, all my versions published of my photos is missing.

  App photos (Version 2.0 (445.1.15))

  It is said:

  -Update of El Capitan Sierra.

  -When the update, I started App Photos and update the library (260 GB).

  -A took the Photos App in the meantime round.

  -After all the thumbnails update was missing, but the pictures would be accessible by clicking on them.

  -Photos App must rebuild now all the thumbnails, but the photos I edited is still missing and even can not be seen by clicking on it (like the non-edited).

  -The missing files are a .jpeg and raw (.nef) from Nikon files.

  I created this post in Safari on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 5.1. As you can see in the first picture, there is an edit above the text area box. However...

  When I try to create a post in Safari 9.1.1. in the Yosemite 10.10.5, I don't see what I'm typing unless I highlight (see second photo attached). Of course, the color of the text was missing to white - and without editing tools, I can't do anything on this subject.

  I could use the code to change the color of the HTML text, but this isn't a real solution; everyone knows how to do this, and I barely do. Any suggestions on how to activate the 'full' editor in Safari 9.1.1?

  Note: This problem does not happen with text boxes on other sites - this alone (Apple Support). However, I can't be sure that the problem is specific to this Web site, or if my browser ignores a style sheet blocking something, etc. I just need suggestions to diagnose the problem, so I can use my MacBook to publish on this site.

• No 'sharpness' in Photo editing?

  In iPhoto, there was an editing tool called 'Sharpness', under the heading 'adjust '.  Almost all of the editing I do is on my photos very old, my "favorite" big project, and very often a small adjustment with the tool 'sharpness' final Assembly, I did and it made a world of difference.  I really, really need it.  I can't find any setting sharpness in the picture - miss me something?  Or I will have to make this edition in iPhoto and then export to the desktop and then import them to Photo?

• Photosmart 6520: photo-editing documents/prescan

  I seems to have "lost" the ability to 'Edit' a docment/photo before parsing and now can only scan the image, graduating to my computer. Have recently spent ro windows 10

  Managed to gain access to scan through my computer, and an edition of the faciilty was there. Not as good as with windows 8, but a mounting tool nevertheless.

  Still no editing tool via the scanner, but at least now I can startwork.

  Hello! So, I'm new here and this is my first post. (BTW, I CS6 and spin 10 Pro Windows)

  I have some photos that I need PhotoShop/edit. I take photos which are usually resolution 760 x 1024 and what makes them in 16:9 aspect ratio pictures without stretching it. What I use is Microsoft paint and cut the whole photo, stretching of the canvas up to 1920 x 1080 (16:9 ratio), paste the cut image where I want in the photo, then I select anywhere from 15 to 200 pixels (depending on the photo) of the side and stretch it across the empty space to fill it so the sides are not empty. Having a sense what I do? It has some drawbacks for me however, 1. When upscaling (to facilitate the 16:9) 1920 x 1080 my photos in bulk a few details and objects are a little wavy at the edges should be smooth. 2. when extending over the sides, it tends to not be able to choose the top and low 1 or 2 pixels so I must fill this space using the tools I have. 3. it is extremely laborious when you make several photos and faster I can do best. 4. it is Microsoft paint, sucks compared to PhotoShop, lol, duh. So I need some help with what I've done (the process I explained) makes faster and better.  I Photoshop CS6 (version student and yes I am a student), I have not used but... why the hell not? Well I installed on my PC a year or two before and then had problems of PC so I did a fresh install of Windows and reinstalled never, I thought I was going to need, but don't have, which is why I've never used it. Now, I do some photo editing and thought why not use PhotoShop? I did nothing as deactivate the license on my PC before reinstalling my Windows, whatever? I'm going to do a fresh install of windows on my desktop (first time in two years) on a new 512 GB Samsung SSD Pro 850 and I'm waiting for the SSD happen, so I was thought for now I would just use it on my laptop (1 TB EVO 850), but the license allows multiple PC even if I was the only one to use it? Is also easy/fast to learn PhotoShop? All I have to do is a photo of basic editing. Hope that everything I said is logical.

  Yes, you can install Photoshop CS6 on two machines.

  You had it previously on the same machine and I think you would have to reinstall it on the even later, so that would not cause any problems.

  You can do all of these steps to resize an image in Photoshop without going into the paint.

  In Photoshop, open you picture and go to Image > size to resize and choose the desired image dimensions

  I bought Dreamweaver CS5 a few days ago.

  I use the demo version of Fireworks CS5 and have played around with the demo version of photoshop element 8.

  I wonder if I would be able to do everything with photoshop CS5, I'm able to do in Fireworks CS5 and photoshop elements.

  Guess I could ask this question in the forum of photoshop, but I really want to hear from developers and designers who use dreamweaver too.

  What would you suggest to use for a graphic/photo editing program.

  I do print design, illustrations, photos and web Photoshop and Illustrator are tools of my trade.

  I opened Fireworks, once and never watched it again.  It is not that the FW is a product of inferior quality or anything, I'm just more comfortable with PShop.

  One thing, I'll give you credit of fireworks, their PNG compression is far superior to Photoshop.

  You can also use Photos for Mac to organize your photos in a photo database.  Photos for Mac offers of many basic setting, and you can use the affinity or other editors as extensions of photo editing.

  Hi, I've just updated the software on my iphone 6 and now when I go to edit a photo (in the photos app), something appears that says "Download"... and it is just like that forever.   Try resetting the Photos App close pictures completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the photo preview pane until it disappears from the display. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  If that doesn't help, try a system restore. First save your device via iTunes. Also import your photos on your computer and copy all the important data. Reconstruction of the support first test and test. If this does not help, you may need to restore as a new and reconfigure from scratch as the backup may be damaged. It is important to have your photos and your saved data separately from the backup. Here are the steps for a restoration:

• Yahoo Mail works fine on, but on Firefox formatting is missing, don't have button fastening & all apps like photo edit are missing.

  All I can do is email Blk & Wht with pre-selection of police and the size. In addition, 100% of the applications under the left column of the files are missing. Large files, photo editing, stationary etc. In fact, the scrolling stops at the bottom of the folder list. I contacted Yahoo, a fix has been tried, but there is no change. Yahoo said since my mail works correctly under Internet Explorer, I have to contact Firefox. Also, my color theme of Yahoo will not hold my selection.
