Photo Gallery - the photo module

Users of gDay BC

I have setup a gallery of pictures via standard photo gallery module.

I have not found a method through the interface of BC to remove an item. I did via FTP, but wonder, is the only available way FTP? as this is not really help my client to be administrator.

see you soon

Darryl

Your customer can easily remove by using the file manager in the admin. No need to use FTP. They can add images in the same way.

No guarantee... but if you try to clean

    The 'Pictures.pd4' database includes thumbs

the database could be Pictures.pd4 or pd5 pd6.)

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4 or pd5 pd6

The database is a file... you will need to
    Change the following setting:

Reach... Control Panel / folder Options / View tab.

The file ends with a advanced

Renaming or deleting the .pd4, pd5 or pd6 file should

The next time that the Gallery is launched, it will create
a new database file and the gallery will appear as

The gallery must fill in again and some tags

    Try to rename it...           Pictures.OLD

  • Whenever I have download my photos in the photo gallery, the icons of all out like the same generic image

Whenever I have download my photos in the photo gallery, the icons of all out like the same generic image for each photo, instead of actual miniatures of the photo itself.  I can't find the pictures I'm looking.  Why is this happening and how can I solve this problem?

    This parameter can be:

    (1) open Folder Options (search for your search box on the start menu to find)

    (2) on the display tab, verify that the "always show icons never thumbnails" is off (disabled)

  • Card Intel HD 520 causes areas white/blanks in photos in the develop module of Lightroom in new X 1 carbon Gen 4

I have a new laptop Lenovo with a CPU i7-6600U, 16 GB of RAM and an Intel 520 HD GPU, pilot 20.19.15.4380 dated 02/02/16.  I use Lightroom CC 2015.5.1.

The GPU passes Lenovo hardware diagnostics.

In Lightroom CC, in the develop Module, move the adjustment sliders or simply move the cursor any where often causes the image I work mainly to turn bright white or white for the most brilliant with holes.  Cursor movement or disable the adjustment panel restores photo (see examples).  Only happens when LR says to use the GPU via Edition > Preferences > performance - does not occur when this box is not checked.

Here is an example of a RAW photo opened to develop:

    Capture1ok.JPG

and then when I'm working on it with GPU on:

    Capture1.JPG

If I move the slider, picture goes back to normal, although the problem may occur again with different parties going blank.

I read LR problems with other cards, so if it is a software related issue, I can live with it--not off the GPU.  I just want to rule out the possibility that I have a faulty GPU.

    Thanks for your help

The GPU causing the problems you see and others as you read it, if you say that you have tested and everything is fine, then just leave it unchecked option and you will be fine. There may be an update to the map in the future that can cure the problem, but in the meantime...

Good luck, and I like the picture in the screenshot also!

  • Strange coloring of photos in the develop module

My newest import, the photos looked normal in the library module. However, when I go to the develop module, something strange happens. This, to be exact:LightroomColoring.JPG

I tried many different things to solve this problem and nothing seems to work. Anyone know what it is?

Have you tried the rest down to the right?

Also try to disable the GPU in the preferences

DSC_2429 is in the shown locaton and present in all the Photos, but there is no folder "Tulsa"... "in the tree.

The left pane is a "choose one". "All photos" are just that. 'G' is a different option.

Lightroom is not a file Explorer. He knows only the drives and files that you have imported the photos of. If LR shows not all of the photos that are on your hard drive, it is because you did not import all photos.

If LR shows you a photo in "all photos" but do not show it in the folder you think he is in, go to "all photos", select the image, right click "view in the library folder. This will show you where LR think the picture is.

  • Move between photos using the mouse scroll wheel in the library module

I've recently upgraded to LR6.4, in the library, to the Magnifier module, I can't move between photos using the mouse scroll wheel. When I point the cursor on the picture, I get a "magnifying glass". The only way I can move between photos is to click on the film. I was able to use the mouse scroll wheel to move between pictures before. Help, please.

It doesn't matter whether or not this option is displayed. Just open the preferences and restart LR should dissipate it.

  • My pictures on my card do not show in the import module, but I can see the names of files. How can I make my photo visible?

I try to import images from the camera or via a card reader. It seems that something has changed. The image is not visible in the import module, but I can see folder names (date) on the map.

How can I make my photo visible?

    Thanks for the help!

    Dear Akash,

I have lightroom 5 and sony A77 M2. Finally I solve it myself investigate other positions on the internet on the same subject. I clicked on the part of area of "copy of area" (right of the screen) to the modus of import and the images showed once again. Still don't know why the pictures disappear and hope it was just something that I was wrong somewhere. Before I had multiple tasks (moving files) in the background may cause pressure on system/software.

    Thanks anyway for the reaction

I love the develop module, but I'm doing something wrong in the library

In the library, under 'Catalogue, all the photographs', all my photos appear showing the stars, cropping, and development. The problem is that these changes are not for the photos on my hard drive. When I re-import them in Lr, the changes are not there. My workflow is to do nothing after development or export them to the original with a new file name destination. Anyway, it is that they get a new file name without change of development when they are imported into Lr.  Please help (PC user)

And others have explained, Lightroom does not apply the changes to the file. All changes are stored in the catalog, and then applied to the image when it is displayed in Lightroom. If you want a copy of the image with any changes so that you can share with others or send it to a laboratory to print, then you must export a copy of this image by using the export dialog box in Lightroom.

Features of Lightroom as well by its design. The images that you import are always left in their original condition, unmodified.

  • Photos not be loading not in the develop Module

I used the trial version of LR CC on my Macbook Pro at home for several weeks, just bought a subscription to the CC. Works fine on my laptop.

Just downloaded LR for desktop at work, everything works normally EXCEPT that when I select photos imported into the film, loading will start the task bar, but once completed, there is nothing else but a gray background in the Web of the Viewer.

Photos ARE visible in the library module, but disappear once I selected develop module.

Already uninstalled/reinstalled LR, the machine restarted, problem has not been resolved.

  • Photos is no longer visible in the library Module, but cannot see/work on them in the develop module.

It began in LR5 and continues now that I upgraded to Lightroom CC 2015. In the library, I do not show all of the photos even if file names are there. The photo area is grayed out. I can see the image in the develop module. It started when I imported some JPEG files, but now it's this way for all the photos. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I restarted the MacBookPro OS X 10.10.3, optimized catalog and no change.

    Thank you

    David

Were you able to get it repaired with Adobe technology? Normally the removal

Previews should take care of this problem, except when the catalog

itself also has a few problems. If you launch Lightroom while you keep the

option key, you get a dialog box where you can choose to test the integrity of

    your catalog file itself.

  • Why do I get a blue rectangle covering the photo in the develop module?

I bought the upgrade to LR6 (or is that LR CC?).  The new software downloaded, installed, updated catalog, it seems to work normally.  When I first opened the program, it seemed ok, but soon a large blue rectangle (with a top X) appeared on the photo selected in the library module.  I signed out and signed in; I restarted my computer.  The rectangle is always there, but I saw that no module has been highlighted.  When I clicked on the library, the rectangle disappeared.  So, I thought I had solved the problem.  BUT the rectangle persists in the develop module (only he).  The controls do not seem to work (if I click on the cropping rectangle, I can see in the upper right preview window), but I don't see the rectangle not really change anything.

    Any ideas?  (I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit)

For now, try to uncheck the GPU option in Preferences > Performance tab. There is a question that seems to be linked to other app/games that changed some parameters related to the gpu. I will try to attract the attention of Adobe on this, but in the meantime try to change this option.

  • I'm looking on the Lightroom API for ways of working with photos in the develop module, how is it taken in charge?

I tried to apply an iOS or jump motion to change the photos in the develop module, but I don't see how we could adjust the white slider shows balance or a single button for crops instead.  Is there a way to do what I'm missing?

If you please repost Lightroom SDK in the forum, and I'm sure someone will help you: Lightroom SDK.
