"Photos" app can be deleted?

The usual method of deleting an application, by dragging its icon from the Applications folder to the trash, doesn't seem to work with photos. I want to remove it from my computer because it is constantly in my way when I'm working with images in other software. Any suggestions?

OSX 10.11

Photos v1.5

You cannot delete it because it is part of the operating system

You can sop it opens automatically - so that a camera is connected in Photos, clear the check box to the right of the unit that says opening the Photos when the camera is connected

And to report to Apple - they need to provide a simple system for you to work with the photo of your choice software - http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

  • Bridge connects and downloads photo but can't delete?

I use Adobe Bridge CC to download my pictures on my camera Sony Alpha 5000.

It worked very well, but today, I connected via USB. The bridge connected to the camera, and I downloaded the images. I checked "delete images after the download area.

However, after downloading, bridge could not delete images. He said something like "device not connected". I tried several times and it was the same, the camera is detected, the images can be downloaded, but not deleted. I don't think I performed settings on my camera say impossible to delete images remotely.

No idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

I tried to delete the pictures from my camera via my computer and a usb cable, and he refused. It seems that some cameras will not let you do this, which is really good. You really want to you make sure that your images are good and have been properly downloaded until they are removed from your card. I never use Bridge to download and always us the operating system. Then then I'm happy, I can remove them, most often by formatting the card in the camera, or from time to time using a card reader and the computer.

  • . Images PNG in the Mail application, but not the Photo app?

I was wondering if it was a bug or a limitation of the software. I myself have sent images properly displayed .png in the mail application. After clicking on "copy photos", the image did not appear in the downloads section of photo enforcement.

Its seems strange that the mail app can display png files, but the photo app can not.

You may not use png images for wallpapers because of this oversight even. Looks like a simple fix, obviously png display support is there, they just need to add other types of image files to funtions of the broswer photo file.

Yes, you can remove the file from the imported image, if you have imported the image as managed.  IE preferences in ave Photos settled on "import: copy items to the photo library" being the default.

IM cannot delete apps from the iPhone 7 when I press the icon, he asks me if I want to share?

    any ideas?

You do not press and hold.  You press VERY briefly until the icons wiggle and X in the upper right corner.  You can remove the application.  Not all applications (for example, settings, photo, Messages, pictures, clock) can be deleted.

  • Can't see the photos from the Photos App in iMovie

    Hello

I came home from vacation and wanted to do quick video for my friends.
Open iMovie, clicked on the photo library and was expecting to see my recent photos (at least). However, there were a few random photos year and months old, some of them I have deleted enough of course, don't know how they ended up there.

I tried to reconnect photos iCloud and resynchronize, however anything.

Any ideas what to do? Of course broke him "it works"

    Thanks in advance

Looks like your problem is with Photos not iMovie. You can see your photos in the photos app? Using iCloud photo library? If yes then maybe you need to wait for iCloud Sync photos to your Mac.

  • Can I delete photos on my iPhone after them have been imported into iPhoto library?

    Hello!

It is at this time of the year when you wanted to take pictures of summer vacation right on your iphone, but you found out that you have less than 500 MB of memory space. Well, it's happened to me.

I imported my iPhone on my Macbook iPhoto pictures, and I would like to delete these photos on my iPhone. I would like to know if I could do it in iPhoto or iTunes.

In addition, it would be possible for me to re - upload photos from iPhoto to my iPhone?

    Kind regards

    TL

Assuming you are using iPhoto and not the new Photos.app, Yes.

You can bulk delete via Capture of Image (in the Applications folder)

Create a picture Album that you want on the phone and you can share them on the phone via iTunes.

Similar goods are available with Photos.app and photo library to iCloud, but work in different ways.

  • Should I delete iPhotos when I get the Photos app?

I have Photos and iPhoto on my iMac. I am satisfied with the Photos app. Can I just move the iPhoto application to the trash?  What happens to my library of photos, movies etc. ?

You can, but it is not recommended

The iPhoto application takes up very little space and is very difficult (if not impossible) to recover if you want or you need

And delete the iPhoto library will recover very little space- Photos saves disk space to share images with your iPhoto or Aperture - Apple Support libraries
