Photos disappeared from Lightroom

I updated the app CC Lightroom and all my pictures have disappeared!  I can get them without having to re - import all?

In Lightroom, look under file-> open the recent item

In addition, use the search function of your operating system to search for files whose name ends in. LRCAT

And for the love of heaven, you have a backup of everything (photos and catalog files), not you?

  • Photos disappeared from: F to: G drive, that I can't find or open!

To save all my pictures on an external: F drive as my: C drive is nearly full. A few days ago, one of my whole photo folders disappeared from this: drive F (F:\pictures\2010-2011).  When I search my computer for the name of the folder all the individual photos in a list now appear in what is called a G: drive.  But when I try to access one of these photos I get this message:

Done G:\pictures\2010-2011 refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network and try again. If it cannot always be located, the information may have been moved to another location

I am connected to the Internet, is not any other external disk and the photos do not appear to be anywhere on my: C drive.   It's two years of valuable missing photos :-(   Anyone know what I did wrong?

    TECHNICAL DATA:

    Dell Inspiron M1330

    Vista Home

Just to clarify - my drive WD Passport external hard is my: disc F where are all my photos. It works great I see and hear.

My missing picture file before in: drive F but it is now in what is called: G drive... a player I never heard or seen before!

I went to DISK MANAGEMENT, following the instructions and I see 3 discs marked all "healthy": C: D and: F

There are neve has been another stick of memory or hard drive attached to this computer, which could thus: G drive be?

Thank you very much for trying to help, any other ideas?

    Ignore all cela "G:".

If you open "F:", you see nothing?  You can't have the Explorer?

If you right-click on the 'F:', and then select Properties - space free/used how?

  • Photos disappeared from the Organizer.

I need help. All images have disappeared from the organizer of 13 items. There used to be more 15 000 photos that have been uploaded in recent years.

Operating system: Windows 10. Everything was going well after the upgrade to 10.

Should I try to download the program again? Will all my pictures disappear forever when I download the program again or they are in a folder that I don't know?

My backup is several months old.

    Hope someone has an answer.

The pictures are not in the catalogue (which only keeps the links to the actual location of your files). They are on your disk, where they have always been. Thus, the reason for which most likeky you don't see them is not that you catalog bad, perhaps an empty catalog created by mistake.

You can use your browser OS, Explorer or finder to find your image files (look for files such as *.jpg, for example).

Search for files named "catalog.pse13db" on your drive. You can find several occurrences. If find you one with a realistic date and size, you can open the Organizer by double-clicking on this file; It should open with her. Note that the catalog is the folder that contains the database file.

  • Photos disappeared from some albums

I have several albums and records, including a record with 94 photo albums for my Web site. When you add a photo to one of these folders yesterday, pictures of all 94 of these albums have disappeared. How can I get back them? Other photos unrelated in different folders and albums are still visible. I watched Time Machine, but saw only iPhoto. How is it possible to get pictures of this backup and to have these photos sorted in albums good?

How is your library file named including extension and where is it located?  You can see where it is located in the General preferences panel pictures.

That's what you're looking for and restore from Time Machine, the library file. Normally it is in your pictures folder and here's how you restore it:

  • Photos disappeared from WLPG and WPG.

I recently had my laptop infected with who knows what. I came back and it was 'fixed '. I went to open WLPG to look at a few pictures and they disappeared. I went to another user having the same photos and they did the same thing. Is - this recoverable? I did the 'show hidden files' in the Panel, but yes, it does not. Right now I'm very ticked off as I have not had a chance to save them (pictures of Christmas, Thanksgiving and other photos of my father who passed away in October.) Can someone help me please!

    Just some thoughts...

Couldn't hurt to check the set Hidden once again... maybe
you don't have to click... Apply / OK.

Reach... Control Panel / folder Options / View tab.
... To check "Show the hidden files and folders" / apply / OK.

Let us know if the files reappear.

If the files were not 'hidden' is it possible that it was
moved to another folder by accident? There's a chance
that do a search for .jpg could find them.

  • Photo exported from Lightroom appears very grainy in Photoshop

A took my photo in RAW and processed in Lightroom.  It is milky and was shot at ISO 8000.  Using the Luminance slider to the title of the noise reduction reduces the noise/grain where I liked it.  When I exported to JPEG in Photoshop it will look very grainy once again, perhaps even more than the original. When I did export I kept it at its full resolution of 3648 X 5472 origin.  I set the quality to 100, it has exported to sRGB and countered the size max and these other options.  I even closed Photoshop and reopened and reopened these photos and they always look very grainy.  To test I did the same thing and it was exported in a TIFF file and got the same look. Very grainy.  HOWEVER, when I open again the JPEG file newly created in Lightroom, it seems that it should look like, with the removed noise/grain.  It seems the noisey/grainy in Photoshop.

I hope someone can tell me what is happening and how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

To make a valid comparison, don't forget to look at the pictures from 1:1 (100%).

Any other point of view is inaccurate and misleading, picture time putting in the scale/resampling.

If the photos are more granular in Photoshop when seen at 100%, check that Cache levels on at least 4 in Preferences > performance.

  • Photos disappeared from the list of pictures; can still be found through faces.

Mac OS X 10.7.5.  Bought a separate individual photo digitizer, scanned photos of Scandisk, inserted Scandisk for iMac and managed to import all the photos of 60.  Use iPhoto to rotate, publishing, culture, label and face to identify all the photos; no problems occurred.  Returned to scan a photo, and when this picture was imported, pictures of 70 prerequisites disappeared photo under the library list and the last import of 12 months.  I can always find pictures singularly under Faces, faces, I've identified, but I can't find the pictures on a list.  The pictures are not in the trash.  Can't find pictures in the Finder or in any list.  The photos seem to be on the computer somewhere, because if I remember a name and go to the Faces, I can find a photo at a time.  How can I find photographs and reconnect?

I finished her rebuild thumbnails, database repair and rebuild the control/Option/start iPhoto database, select these options.  He has not fixed the problem.

  • I can't email photos directly from Lightroom.

Using Windows 8.1 with mail by either outlook.com (cut version for windows 8.1) microsoft or tiscali and Lightroom 6. I tried to follow the process that is trying to help me get the result final but always end upward with no e-mail option? Any help for this please? Thank you

    Hello!

Check your credentials on your email account and the servers used to send emails. Then to add on behalf of Lightroom

Give it a name and choose a provider. There is one category "Other" to allow you to connect any messaging service. This requires more information to fill in. Once you enter info click Validate. If you have all correct than then the green light appears next to your entered email address and you should be able to send the mail from this account via Lightroom

If you still have a problem, it could be a plugin problem. For example, LR Mogrify has a problem with certain file types and will cause the enamel to fail. If you have other plugins installed try to disable them before you send an email to see if that is the question.

  • photos disappear from collection but still present in the library.  Book a contour picture and text but no pictures.

My hard drive crashed and had to be replaced.  The hard drive contents were saved.   When I try to use my previous catalogs present on the c drive and a backup disk, I can see the files in the library but the collection has no pictures.  The collection shows the number of files it contains, but they cannot be seen.   When you click on the collection, I see a preview of the photo and the text of the photo but no picture.

My face is red.  I have not noticed these brands.  Why are still pictures in the main library and not in the collection.  Of course, there is a break but why?  Looks like I'll have to live with it and track each photo individually.   Thank you very much for your help

  • my files and photos disappeared from my site to administrators only on my desktop PC

Does this mean that my PC was hacked and they took all my gear or could they have been moved to a different location on my PC

Maybe the files are just hidden.  What happens if you do a search for files?  Look in your "site administrators" for *.jpg or any type of file you know were present in the folder such as *. doc.
