• Blue screen and bad RAM memory?

  It seems that the installation of a 32-bit version of Windows is your mistake. This limits each app to not more than 2-3 gigabytes, no matter how much RAM you install.

  OKAY this is getting annoying. A few days ago, I posted about a previous kernel panic and if it linked to the bad RAM.

  My question has been answered by Illaass and Grant Bennet-Alder, the culprit in my kernel panic was bad RAM as Illaass noted

  The expression '6 banks to report errors' panic report almost always means bad RAM.

  The key is to several banks of error reports.

  Also the phrase "Machine Check" usually means a hardware problem

  I got the replacement RAM this morning and installed, the system showed as having 12 GB for about two hours. I got a Kernel Panic OTHER then when I rebooted my machine showed as having 8 GB of RAM once again, the two new modules have been installed would not be saved. -I opened the side of my machine to instept memory, I was surpised to find the error LED on one of the DIMMs I had installed just a few hours before.

  I have therefore three options in front of me.

  1. I received a second faulty module in the modules that I replaced, but what is the probability that I would get two modules of the 'bad' like this.

  2. the second is of course the DIMM location on riser from the Mac Pro RAM "kills" any module installed in it. (I don't know what is the probability of this)

  So I contacted the dealer that I bought the memory with a few basic troubleshooting I've been able to identify the faulty module and remove (and the other 'good' module of my system), with the deleted modules my system boots and behaves correctly, with replacement modules in my system boots (slower than normal) and new modules do not even register System Profiler , they show that slots "empty."

  I took my machine to my local provider of Apple and asked their opinion, they said that it is very unlikely that the slot is the question and I just received two faulty memory sticks.

  I contacted the retailer and they will send me another one module replacement, but I don't know what the probability of exactly the same thing repeats again and again.

  I also have the details of my second kernel panic which I attach to this message in a minute, I'm open to suggestions as to what can happen.

• RAM-memory even to sharpen my images in CC?

  This has never happened before, Photoshop CC said that I did not have enough RAM to further refine my images with sharpness. It's never happened before in CS3 or CS6.   I see that you are running 32-bit Windows and 32-bit Photoshop, 4 GB of ram and it seems that Photoshop becomes 1531 MB of ram.

  It's a tight fit. If you go into Preferences > Performance, are you able to increase the amount of memory available to Photoshop CC?

  Here's how to change Photoshop in English if necessary.

  Your CC membership will allow you to install a pack of English language at no extra charge.

  You would go to your CC desktop application, open it, click on Preferences, (the little train) and under apps, change the language to English to install this language pack. After the installation of the English language for Photoshop, don't forget to return to Swedish.

  Then in Photoshop preferences, Interface > INTERFACE language, you can change from Swedish to English and back again, but you must restart Photoshop every time.

  Your model can accept 4 gigabytes of RAM. Yes the G.Skill will probably work, but you'd be 100% sure if you have tried to find another 2 gig module, like the one already in it.

  Yes, DELL E1705 recognizes 4 GB of RAM. You may need to update the BIOS (A09). 32 bit Windows 7 recognizes 4 GB, but usable is 3.25 GB. 64-bit Windows 7 will benefit from all 4GBs. Enjoy!

  Although this would mean taking this laptop apart to do this, I want to know if the RAM memory is expandable for the HP Pavilion 17 laptop-f113dx.

  A site specific Web says it is expandable to 16 GB.  The vehicle currently has 4 GB of RAM and all I want to do is double that - go up to 8 GB.

  I wouldn't take this laptop out to see that it is not extensible.

  There are two slots for RAM, you can put two 8 GB of RAM of the same exact brand & plug as shown in the manual. Then max up to 16 GB is possible.
