• Tried running Photoshop, got an ' error: message 16'

  I am under Photoshop CS6 (64-bit) on Windows 7.

  Yesterday, I tried running Photoshop and got a message "error: 16", telling me to re - install. I checked a few messages on here and elsewhere, and it seems that reinstall doesn't seem to work for most people anyway. I am also reluctant to do as I have parameters and brushes on Pshop I really don't want to lose!

  Then, because she seems to be a problem with the permissions, I followed a few virtual tours (like this Error Configuration 16 |) CC, CS ) but they have had no success. Please can someone help me with this? I can't waste any more time, and Photoshop is at the heart of my work!

  Any help is welcome!

  Hi deepakg1988

  Well, in the frame to find folders presets, etc, I decided just try "run as Administrator" from the shortcut in the folder in Program Files Adobe. It worked! Remains to be seen if she continues to work, but I'm passing all!

  Thank you for your help - if it blocks / stops working, so I'll follow your instructions for a clean reinstall (took me ages to find the PS disc!)

  It happened all of a sudden.  I had been printing without problem a few minutes before.  I have nothing unusual that I have caused this error message.  I use a Mac Pro using OS 10.9.5.

  Robert, have you tried pressing command-option-shift on a restart of Photoshop.  It worked for me.  If it works for you let "station_zero" know that we are all angered by his lack of knowledge!

• After Windows 7 repair facility, Photoshop displays 0xc01500002 error message

  Due to the corruption of some system files, I had to do a repair installation of Windows 7.

  When I try to start Photoshop CS6, I get the 0xc01500002 error message.   When I try to run 10 items, I get a different error: "side-by-side configuration is incorrect."

  Other apps will work perfectly.

  Any help solving this would be greatly appreciated.

  Craig, I recommend you to start with the removal and reinstallation of your Adobe Creative applications.  If you need a new copy the installation files, and then they are available to other downloads.

• Photoshop CS2 crashing after installing the new Epson printer

  I have just installed a new Epson Workforce 323 all-in-one printerand its job very well. Yay!

  But now PS CS2 crashes on opening.

  Just Photoshop--everything is fine - Illustrator, GoLive, InDesign, Safari, Mail, etc.

  I have an MacPro running OS x 10.4.11

  I have other things Epson - 2 printers (C88 and 2200) and a scanner (1240U) and they were never a problem.

  The C88 printer is dead (I stuck paper inside, then had to tear out, who messed up the print heads and all - otherwise it is always "worked", it was just all wonky), is why I replaced it with this new 323 of labour.

  I was on the phone with the help of Epson and they had no idea about the question of the PS.

  I had a guy online on 'Just Ask' me don't walk through the uninstall drivers, etc - also no help in the end.

  Apple don't know either.

  So here I am.

  Is a known issue with CS2 and Epson? I have to upgrade CS2? Y at - there a patch or something?

  All patches for CS2 was released several years ago.

  My guess is that the TWAIN driver for the part of scanner Epson crashes at startup.  Disable the TWAIN plugin in Photoshop can avoid these accidents, until you get a newer driver from Epson that doesn't crash.

  Make sure that your printer drivers are updated.

  In addition, I suggest you try the procedure below:

  • Go to the control panel
  • Click Printers
  • Find the Microsoft XPS document writer
  • Right-click on it to open the menu and select "Set as default printer"
  • Restart your Photoshop program
  • Go to file > print and select your Epson printer in the printer drop down menu and check if you are able to print.

  Everything I do replace video clips in the sequence of mounting with clips of same due to clips showing offline project in order, but not in the project area. I tried to recreate a link to clips, but always the same hash grey/blue lines in the sequence.  Recently upgraded to CS6 CC to find myself in this situation.

  Recently reinstalled the operating system Windows 7 on a new SSD which is also where I install CC.

  Any suggestions?

  Yes, it's a Canon XF100.

  Update on the results of these problems previously listed, is that I had to go back to CS6, export the project in a new location using the parameters of the project.  Once I did, then I imported this project file into a new CC prepro project.

  What I noticed was none of the subelements that I always had in the CS6 project folder and had not yet put in a sequence was a transfer.   So I went back in CS6, added the sub-elements to the sequence and then only imported these delays.

• Error message: could not complete your request because a jpeg marker segment length is too short

  I'm subscribed to CS 2015.  Because I was frustrated trying to learn Lightroom, I stepped back on uploading my photos in Bridge.  Trying to open photos in Photoshop, the subject error message suddenly appeared on one of the 43 000 files that I have on a disc hard Ext. WD.  I used my subscription of several months without any problems.  A google search for others with the same problem found several during the last years and the answer seems to boil down to "the files are corrupted" and not data solutions.  I was very upset.  Tried several times with the same error message.  Today, I tried again and the bingo-test - everything works beautifully.  I am relieved but worried it will happen again or that I did something to cause this error message.  I'm not a person tech so if anyone can give me an idea on this issue, I would be grateful.  I backup to another hard drive, but he was afraid to open CS2015 files are going to be corrupted.

  Since you got the error before, but not at the moment, it doesn't look like a fault on an intermittent basis by car.

• Photoshop displays an error and closes whenever the opening/saving a file

  It appears when registering and opening some files, but not others. I can't figure out what causes it to happen to individuals, since they are not all in the same place, or the same type of file.

  Photoshop 7.0 is kind of old to use on Windows 7, but I'm not saying it's impossible.

  The message you saw is not generated directly from Photoshop as I know.

  • You have installed plug-ins lately?  Or perhaps applications like iTunes or QuickTime that could change things in your path?
  • The free space on any of your drives crosses a border terabyte?  Photoshop 7 has some problems with large capacity disks.

  Another thing you can try, if you have not a direct failure reason, must clear the default Photoshop preferences by pressing Ctrl - Shift - Alt immediately after cold start Photoshop.  If you get the keys down quickly enough, it will set up a prompt asking you to confirm the deletion of your current preferences.  Note you will have to re-do the changes in preferences, you did after doing this.

  If all other fails, current version of Photoshop Elements, which is inexpensive and fully compatible with Windows 7, did better, and more features than Photoshop 7.0.
