Photoshop cs5 and Camera Raw

Hello

I just downloaded the latest version of camera raw for mac (I never used before CR!). When I open the PS, not CR... In Bridge, I can see, but nothing happens... camera raw is gray!

Thanks for your help...

Hi danae830,

In PS... go to the FILE menu... OPEN file... Click on a RAW file... then it should apear in ACR.

If it isn't... I... can't help you... perhaps someone else?

I just bought a Canon 5 d Mark IV but the rough version of the camera on my PC (version 7) does not read the files. I went to help and updates, then it sys it comes to the current version. Then, I went to the Adobe site and downloaded Camera Raw 9.1.1 installer but it did not update on photoshop.  Any ideas how I intall this version of camera raw? Any help would be appreciated

Camera Raw 9.7 is necessary to have support for this model of camera raw files. And camera raw 9.7 is not compatible with Photoshop CS6. If you have decided to stay with this version of Photoshop then your the cheaper option would be to download converter DNG 9.7 and create copies of your raw images that will open in Camera Raw DNG 9.1.1. What has happened that lead you to believe that Camera Raw 9.1.1 has not installed? If you go to help-> on plug-ins and choose Camera Raw, what version?

  • Photoshop CS5 & Yosemite Camera Raw incompatibility (missing Photos)

    Dear,

Sinus, I update my SO in Mac OS x latest version MAC OSX Yosemite 10.10.3 I have problems with camera Raw in two diferent protable with Photoshop CS5.

When you open archives diferent to the trial in Camera Raw, always miss some of them. You can open all archives or one of them individually. But if you open 4 archives, Camera Raw only get 3.

Or if you open 6, camera raw doesn't get 5 or 4. A few times, after cancelled operations, opens automatically archive missed.

The problem persists, exactly in the other computer.

What can I do about it?

    Hi mbaye,

Please try and update the Photoshop CS5 for the last update.

Reference: Adobe - Photoshop: for Macintosh: Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 updated for Adobe Photoshop CS5

If the solution above does not work, then uninstall the Photoshop CS5

    Restart the Mac.

Install it again using the link: Download CS5 products

    And then try it.

Let us know if it helps.

  • 6.1.1 Lightroom, Photoshop CC and Camera raw

    Hello

    I use Lightroom 6.1.1 on a MacBook Pro (OS X Yosemite 10.10.5).)

I upgraded Lightroom 6.2.1, it was a disaster and I'll be back soon to 6.1.1!

I would like to install the trial version of Photoshop.

It would obviously be the current CC in Photoshop?

I wonder if any problem can occur, in regard to the Camera raw is concerned: LR and PS will work with the same installation of Camera Raw? I mean, LR works with its own installation of Camera Raw, or not? And if Lightroom and Photoshop work with the same Camera Raw installation, is the current version (installed with the current version of the CC PS)-compatible Camera Raw with Lightroom 6.1.1?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

    Daniel.

Lightroom and Photoshop do not share the Camera Raw plug-in. The Camera Raw code used by Lightroom is cooked in Lightroom.

Using the most recent PS and ACR will not be a problem as long as you don't try to use cameras not supported by LR 6.1.1.

  • I don't see any option in Photoshop Elements and Camera Raw

for example, automatic alignment of the layers in the Image menu or adjustment brush in Camera Raw. Please tell me what I need to do

This is because the elements is a reduced version of Photoshop.

    You have two questions:

Auto align layers. My suggestion: google "Photoshop Elements auto align layers" and you have a lot of answers and suggestions.

The ACR module has all the features of the full version of Photoshop, but the most important and significant are there. For the rest, you need to open your image in the editor where you have the corresponding characteristics. The editor has much more powerful tools than the adjustment for the critical edition brush.

And temporarily disable the Gatekeeper by allowing downloads from anywhere, or your installer will be marked as 'damaged' because that CS5 is out before Gatekeeper and is not "signed" that is not approved.

I have redownloaded my CS5 Photoshop and Camera Raw will not accept my RAW files or Adobe Bridge displays the display of the image of these files. A message appears saying: it does not support this camera.  I have a Nikon 5100 digital SLR.  He has always displayed them in the past.  How do I get to view these photos in Bridge, then open them in RAW?

Your Nikon 5100 requires a minimum of 6.4 ACR.

The ACR, which is installed with CS5 default is 6.0.

You must update your ACR to the latest version available for CS5 - ACR 6.7

  • Is a codec 1.18 compatibile with Photoshop CS5.1 and Camera Raw 6.7?

I plan my buying a D7100 and want to understand the software updates required to process the raw files in Photoshop. My current software is: CS5.1, Camera Raw Photoshop is 6.7, 1.12 Codec and Windows 7.  The Adobe website says I need to improve the codec to 1.18. I'm OK with that. But this codec works with versions of camera raw and Photoshop that I currently have?

I'm pretty sure that is not compulsory for camera raw to work adobe and yes I agree with your post 5, like the nikon d7100 camera raw files require camera raw 7.4 and

Since photoshop cs5 is only compatible for camera raw 6.7, photoshop cs5 will not open these d7100 files unless you use the 7.4 dng converter to convert your first

    best to DNG files.

  • Output sharpening in Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR)

Output sharpening in Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR)

I want to do two-pass sharpening - capture and output - with output just before printing. I do the initial sharpening (capture) in the Panel of the cab detail/sharpening, with amount slider game for example, 100.  Then, I open the PS CS5 image as a smart object and use layers and masks for more editing.

My question is, can I go back to ACR for the final (output) sharpening pass?  When I re - open the file in ACR, the sharpening amount slider is zero, but the other three sliders are still at the settings I used at the beginning of the process, i.e., capture sharpening.  If I still once set the amount slider to a positive value, and then open the image in PS for printing, will be my second pass through the ACR sharpening Panel take effect - it will accumulate on top of the initial sharpening?

Moreover, the reason why I want to give sharpening in ACR, rather than, say, PS Unsharp Mask, is if I can use the masking slider in ACR, which is much easier than the comparable techniques available in PS.  I am aware that some people say that you shouldn't perform any masking for output sharpening. I would, however.

    Thanks for the ideas.

Not sure about the amount reset... I think that something is happening out there. But to answer your question, the details of Camera Raw Panel is designed to be a capture sharpening and not designed to be output sharpening. Controls are really designed to regain lost sharpness turning light pixels with an optical system only.

He got out there available sharpening in Camera Raw, but only in the workflow Options button. Click on that and you will see the options. Yes, they apply the good output sharpening, but be careful he applies what he you this smart object... no other layers above or below this layer.

  • Photoshop and Camera Raw or not with editing Sony RAW files?

I still read a lot of comments and forums that Photoshop and Camera RAW are not good to convert and edit files Sony RAW (ARW). Is there a reason for this? Or is it just not biased opinions?

I received recommendations for another program that is supposed to do a better job than the two, but still hesitant to use, I like to use what I already know...

So, what's your response to that?

    TIA

    Hi rfe777,

The Applications CC with Lightroom and Photoshop CC are good software to work with Sony's RAW files.

And also, they provide a good result when working in Camera Raw.

  • I have Nikon D4s and I assumed new Adobe Photoshop CC open camera raw, but I was wrong, did I lose time and money to upgrade?

I have Nikon D4s and I assumed new Adobe Photoshop CC open camera raw, but I was wrong, did I lose time and money to upgrade

It opens images of D4. Check what version of camera raw you have. Camera raw 8 was installation on versions of 2015 for a reason, and, I think, you need at least 8.4. If you have 8.4 or above, did you use Nikon software to transfer the images? It has been known to corrupt the files of some cameras so PS can not open them.

  • I just updated my Bridge and Photoshop and camera raw is now my images appear dull?

Since you didn't say what specific versions and what specific model of Nikon camera, it's just a guess: you have a D810 and updated to 2015 CC with cab 9.1 and your camera profile that said Adobe Standard now says flat camera.

The problem is that somehow versions.1 are ignores Adobe Standard profile and go to the next in the list that is flat camera.

The temporary solution until Adobe gives us a version.2 that works, once again, is to download and install the Adobe D810 Standard profile in the common area of the users profile.  Here is an Adobe help page on this topic:
