  In PS... go to the FILE menu... OPEN file... Click on a RAW file... then it should apear in ACR.

  You can not. The latest version of Camera Raw CS4 supported was 5.7, which is always useful to have.

  You pouvez use the latest version of the DNG Converter. Assign to his preference of compatibility to Camera Raw 5.4 and laterand folders duplicates of files raw DNG files, which can be opened by Camera Raw 5.7 under CS4.

  It opens images of D4. Check what version of camera raw you have. Camera raw 8 was installation on versions of 2015 for a reason, and, I think, you need at least 8.4. If you have 8.4 or above, did you use Nikon software to transfer the images? It has been known to corrupt the files of some cameras so PS can not open them.

  PSE12 cannot be updated to the required version of ACR, 8.2, you need PSE13.

  It seems that the Camera Raw Filter has disappeared or moved into the main menu of the drop-down menu "Filters" after that I upgraded to the 2015.5.1 exit (20160722.r.156).

  I looked through the menus and also check the notes version on photoshop and camera raw, but I see no information regarding this.

  The shift shortcut, ctrl + A for the filter does not work. Camera Raw present "up-to-date" in the creative cloud.

  Reinstall Photoshop fixes this problem. I guess I just met a bug on the last update. After full reinstalled everything is up-to-date and the Camera Raw filter works correctly.

  I just bought Photoshop CS5 last month and it will not work!  Photoshop is open, but as soon as I open a photo, it stops telling me there is an error and needs to close.  I can work in Camera Raw and try to open then in Photoshop, and it stops too.

  I'm not super computer savvy, but I know enough, so I need help please!  I'm starting a photography business, and I have 2 pictures of families to finish the Assembly.

  I take good instructions, if you can tell me a few things to try, I'd be so grateful for any help!

  My first suspeciton is the video card and drivers.  Check that it is and if the drivers are up to date.  In preferences, disable Open GL.  CS5 requires a lot of the video card.

  So that Photoshop to read Nikon 7200 files, you must be at least Camera Raw 9.0

  So if you want to use Nikon 7200 files, you can use DNG Converter.

  I use Lightroom 6.1.1 on a MacBook Pro (OS X Yosemite 10.10.5).)

  I upgraded Lightroom 6.2.1, it was a disaster and I'll be back soon to 6.1.1!

  I would like to install the trial version of Photoshop.

  It would obviously be the current CC in Photoshop?

  I wonder if any problem can occur, in regard to the Camera raw is concerned: LR and PS will work with the same installation of Camera Raw? I mean, LR works with its own installation of Camera Raw, or not? And if Lightroom and Photoshop work with the same Camera Raw installation, is the current version (installed with the current version of the CC PS)-compatible Camera Raw with Lightroom 6.1.1?

  Lightroom and Photoshop do not share the Camera Raw plug-in. The Camera Raw code used by Lightroom is cooked in Lightroom.

  Using the most recent PS and ACR will not be a problem as long as you don't try to use cameras not supported by LR 6.1.1.

  I searched the website of Adobe, and I need help to make Sony ILÇE-6000. ARW files opened in 11 elements.

  I had success opening the camera Sony NEX5N model. ARW files, but those of my new camera (ILÇE-6000) won't open. The Camera Raw version update that appears to be necessary for this is 8.4. Yet when I try update the menu of PS Elements Online, I learned that the version that I installed (v7.4) is the most recent available. Anyone know what I am doing wrong, or how much detail I'm missing?

  My camera model is Canon 650 d which is supported and I downloaded the latest raw update but whenever I go to help > all Plug-ins

  It keep saying that my version is 6.3.0.79

  The 650 d requires that Camera Raw 7.1 or later version.

  CS5 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 6.7. So cannot open files 650 d Raw in CS5.

  So you must upgrade to CS6 or CC or convert your DNG Raw files using the Adobe's DNG Converter for free. Then open and edit DNG files in CS5.

  I have a Canon Rebel T4i and I try to get the update for my photoshop cs5 can open it, but nothing works. I'm stuck in the plugin 6.7 and cannot update any more away. I tried to install 7.1 (which is what it takes to open the raw files), but it won't let me, so I guess I should update by sequence (6.8, 6.9, etc.) except that I can't find the update to 6.8 anywhere. How can I update to read these raw files?

  ACR 7.1 and beyond is compatible only with the CS6 and upward. He was never a 6.8 or 6.9. Therefore, you have to find a way to upgrade or just the free DNG Converter in the meantime. See this for more details:

  so I tried to install the update, to install it correctly, kept getting the same message when I would try to open the photo. After researching online, I found the idea to uninstall and then reinstall photoshop elements. I did it once, tried the update new... same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still get the same message. Ive checked the adobe website and everywhere where I look said that the version of the camera raw does support my camera (nikon D7100). IM at my wits end with this and don't know what else to do. Help, please!

  Well, you don't need any software to do this with a mac, but anyway. Uninstall it and see. Sometimes there is a conflict between the nikon plugin and ACR.
