  I just upgraded from a Canon 1000 d with a Canon 6 d, during shooting in raw and try to open it with photoshop, it says the camera raw is not compatible and it uses a different format, even if both devices have the CR2 file, I never had problems with my 1000 d. I have photoshop CS5 and have tried to update, but it still does not work. Someone knows how to fix this? I'm a photography student and my deadline is in 2 weeks, so I really need to get to this sorting asap! Advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

  It uses a different format, even if both devices have the CR2 file

  CR2 is not a fixed file format. It varies with each camera model that make cannon. It is the same for all the camera manufacturers.

  New camera, new file Raw, same Raw file extension format model (CR2 = Canon, NAVE = Nikon, etc.).

  The 1000 d is supported in Camera Raw 5.1 and later - compatible with CS4 and later. CS5 can open these Raw files.

  The 6 d is supported in Camera Raw 7.3 and later - compatible with CS6 and later. CS5 cannot open these Raw files.

  RAW support is never added retroactively to older versions of the Adobe software you will never be able to open files 6 d Raw in CS5.

  Options:

  1. Join the Cloud (Plan of photography) and get Photoshop CC 2015 + Lightroom CC 2015 for $10 / month (as long as your computer can run)
  2. Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all the 6 d to DNG Raw files, then change the DNG files in CS5. An extra step for you, but no extra costs.

  I'm not an apple person.  I read on a few different forums that apple has changed what is called 'writing' in a recent update to apple.  You may need to find an Apple expert to show you how to make sure you are allowed to write to files or locations on your computer.

Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for more information. "Yet the Nikon D800 is on the list of supported devices.  Can anyone help?

  And temporarily disable the Gatekeeper by allowing downloads from anywhere, or your installer will be marked as 'damaged' because that CS5 is out before Gatekeeper and is not "signed" that is not approved.

It; s OK print a copy - but then I can not change the print settings. Also OK with Word. I can print from my laptop is nothing to do with the printer.   The Applications CC with Lightroom and Photoshop CC are good software to work with Sony's RAW files.

  And also, they provide a good result when working in Camera Raw.

  At a presentation last night and expertise gave a lecture on his Mac on Lightroom and how RAW files can be imported.

  Camera Raw using Photoshop CS5 is more ancient than the raw editing capabilities of Lightroom 5. Camera Raw is used to convert the image when it transfers from Lightroom to Photoshop.   Using my Espon R2000 with Photoshop CS5 and Windows 7 (32 bit), I select the printer again each time I have print copy, zero profile type, orientation and printer paper.  Sometimes, especially when I do only my 2nd or 3rd copy, I can just click on the printer properties to make the selections, but usually when I do this, I get the error message "because the printer does not exist."  I have installed the latest updates for Photoshop (version 12.0.4).  Any suggestions?

  Seems I remember that setting the printer to be simple names, 8 or fewer names of characters with no spaces or special characters can be useful.

Rather than load instantly, it loads in the columns... as if had a "special effect", as in a presentation with PowerPoint... anyone know what I did wrong and how to fix?   You probably designed a site heavy with graphics that take time to load in the browser. The pages reload faster, because they have already been cached in the browser.

  Only Photoshop is not a web design tool.

• MS Word 2007 is causing a conflict with PhotoShop CS5

  When I created PowerPoint presentations (which I do a lot), I have PhotoShop open to edit photos that I will. If I open MS Word too, I can't choose anything on any of the PhotoShop menus (they do not highlight). As soon as I close Word, all's well again. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, with PhotoShop 64-bit and 32-bit Word. The computer is a Sony Vaio with a fast processor i5 Core and 6 GB of RAM, it should be able to deal with multiple applications open at the same time.

  I'm sure this is a graphic problem caused by Word, since I noticed that Solitaire and other games Windows slow down to a crawl when Word is open also.

  Someone else had this specifically with PhotoShop and, if so, have you found a solution?

  If you use Word, and PS, please could you try and reproduce this problem?

  If you have Word 2010, please could see you if he has the same problem?

  I've heard of this issue with the word before (maybe on this forum... try a search). I vaguely remember that it was due to a third-party add-in for Word. EndNote comes to mind.
