  If you move from your Explorer or finder in a given folder, you will not lose them and they will disappear from your desktop.

  If you want to use the Organizer to keep track of your photos in the catalog, use the Organizer, not the Explorer / finder to move them to another folder on the desktop.

  I do not know Lightroom, but a friend suggested as a solution to my problem, so here goes:

  I have a subscription to CC (and have used some Creative Suite for years). I use CC to work, but for my personal photos, professional, I have always used Photoshop elements Organizer, because I've never found his equal - as the Organizer. Also, I invested a massive amount of effort in the marking of each photo (about 30 000 pictures, more than 10 years) with keywords.

  I have no interest in the other features of Photoshop Elements'. I have CC for something else that PES done that I care to do.

  However, I don't really want to keep shelling out for PES, given that I already pay (effectuι) about a zillion dollars to Adobe over the years for Creative Suite and now CC.

  So here's the question: can I use Lightroom (or bridge, perhaps) as a substitute for organizing PSE? Both programs import the PSE Organizer catalogs? Because unless I can import what I have, no other organiser will do it for me.

  I would consider also another product of the Organizer, if you could import catalogs PSE, but I hope that there is that a little gem of a program already in CC I'm not aware of that will do the trick.

  After this error message have been updated display drivers. Old adobe catalogs have been renamed as old. Adobe has started running. There appeared to be no more problems. I restarted my computer. The computer would not restart.  The error message there was something missing as NR...   I don't remember everything that was missing. I removed the portable drives then the computer restarted. Now Adobe software crashes again when I run in my catalog.  It seems adobe falls down when the catalog contains videos.  I checked the drivers and they appear all updates. Any ideas?  I noticed an update in January to managers for ntdll.dll by windows when I checked the windows updates to find changes.

  If you go into the applications folder, can you open Adobe organizer of 13 elements, or the Editor directly? The editor is well hidden. It is located in the support files folder in the Adobe Photoshop elements 13 folder:

  I have prE8 and photoshop cs4.  My computer has a hard time lately so I've been disable some processes.  I disabled my organizer elements Pr, but photoshop elements Organizer still works.  What I don't understand is why I have Photoshop elements Organizer in the first place?  It come with cs4 or pre 8?  What is this Organizer for and how to disable it.

  The elements Organizer comes with Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements.

  The CS4 equivalent would be the bridge, even if they are actually very different.

  In my books, I will detail the functions of the organizer and how to use it. But, at the bottom:

  1) there is a media management system

  (2) it allows you to search and catalog your media files based on a number of criteria - General and very specific

  (3) it includes a basic photo editor

  (4) there are automatic tools for the creation of a number of project including slideshows, boxes of CD and even US postage stamps

  (5) includes a number of features for sharing your media, including interfaces for Facebook, Picasa, and Photoshop.com

  (6) this is the main command for the media auto-analyzer, a tool that plays a role in the first elements SmartFix tool

  7) there is the master control for the online backup of your multimedia files

  If you go to Edition/Preferences, you can disable any background process that it is running.

  However, there is no interest to turn it off completely. It is not slow down your system when it is not running, and it shares features with Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements.

  PSE12 can sort alphabetically in all modes: View thumbnail, my images, photos or albums.

  In albums, when you open an album it opens automatically in the order by album, unless you have the displayed calendar.

  When you add photos to an album, the additional lot is added to the existing images in the order that they appear when you move.

  If you want to create a custom mainly based on a sort order existing (date, import lot, name, old custom order), simply create a new empty album and with the right order of departure, move all elements of your album to the new. You can then move your images in order (custom) from the album with less work.
