• The Photoshop font is too small to read on my new laptop

  I recently bought a HP x 360 spectrum.  I can't use Photoshop, because the font is so tiny.  There must be a solution.  I got the best buy geek squad to fix this problem on other things, and I was hoping that photoshop would be fixed when I opened it.  It is not the case.  Help, please!

  So, I use the latest version on a Mac with 16 GB of RAM etc. Photoshop 2015.0.1, Yosemite 10.10.5.

  I cleaned the fonts with font, same removal book a couple where they were marked as warnings and duplicates.

  Now everything on the system (Word, Pages etc.) reads the fonts correctly, except Photoshop, which seems to be seeing for most all the fonts on the system, but unable to handle some of them. The odd seem to be rating the music of Sibelius, and some Microsoft Word fonts and others I don't know. They appear in the list seen by his name, but there is no samples, or samples are broken, and selecting them has no effect. The part of the sample stands as a small box square - or an empty space or a rating of some sort, not even the Word sample.

  I've tried everything, even delete the caches and so forth, and then one other user tells me that, apparently, is that in Photoshop that this happens?

  These fonts are not damaged. They simply do not have support for A through z characters (or have some other forms in their place).

  For example, Gurmukhi MT regular is intended to be used with the Punjabi language and does not support the Western languages such as English.

  The fonts are installed in your operating system.  Photoshop uses the fonts installed on your system. You don't want to install fonts in Photoshop.

  It must have a small high screen resolution. If you have Photoshop CC 2014, you could try the 200% UI under Edit > Prefs > experimental features.

  It is recommended by the typekit as the corresponding font similar engine when a font is not found in PS.

• A complain to Adobe

  As the beginning of another weeks blades and most of us come face to face with our activities to "earn income", I am confronted again with Adobe and its suite of software which is a source of terror, stress and a lack of productivity in our lives. I would try the stressful situation that we are faced with the combination of Adobe products on the list. I do without profanity, vocations of childish name or language of ranting.

  • (1) launch of program time: on average, we use Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier and After Effects. On average, each program takes good 2 minutes for throwing and ready to use, Adobe programs has this habit of pretending to be ready, but is not quite ready, try clicking on say the menu 'file '. The biggest offender here is Photoshop Illustrator a close second. InDesign is not better and constantly returns to its default settings, even with our saved custom settings. This is quite annoying, because we respond to an international clientele with different measures, imagine the lost time with a customer in Europe, using the metric and American system with the Imperial standards.
  • (2) false program output: at least three times a week, we are surprised to see an adobe program "Illustrator is the biggest offender" executed when it was closed three days ago, we have usually force the offending application to quit.
  • (3) destroy the session: when an adobe program behaves badly and they often do, it brings the system down. For example, Dreamweaver and any use of browser to preview. When Dreamweaver slows to a crawl, then the browser and any other programs that you run maybe even Notepad that attracts few system resources. It seems that no matter what happens after including closing programs, the session is dead resulting in a reboot of the entire system and a lot of time.
  • (4) fonts: like recorders we know better than to the copy all of our thousands of fonts to the fonts directory. Extensis suitcase allows us to load the fonts sets stored on external drive USB 3, yet whenever we are launching Photoshop "fonts initialization" popup appears and persists until 5 minutes before anything can be done. Of course we have large sets of loading fonts in the suitcase, but not more than 150 fonts that we are clean, most being own Adobe font library.
  • (5) slow: of course, this could be attributed to a myriad of things but we have seen this slow slow behavior especially with Adobe programs, Photoshop sometimes comes just stop with the simplest of tasks like opening a 4 MB jpeg file. We cannot put your fingers on it. With 8Gigs of ram with Frequently defragment and system maintenance, we just don't understand why Photoshop would just freeze for 5 minutes as we look at the status bar progresses slowly. It seems that it is a big "no, no" to have Photoshop and Dreamweaver running, not to mention Adobe bridge, now that's another story. Multitasking with adobe products seems to be a chimera.
    
  
  Adobe programs are an important source of stress in our multimedia company, I heard the softer and more quiet people use profanity of dozens of times a day as they try to earn a living using Adobe programs. Smoke and coffee breaks are a usual sign that an Adobe program is creeping, gel or caused the system must be restarted. Adobe should take the time to realize that some of us are real users, earn our living by using their products and not some recreational users who have downloaded a copy of cracking to experiment. We tried everything, memory more no connection by the web and even a system with just the following adobe program installed, but the programs are always problematic to use. In Adobe all products have many features, but there is something wrong with their products, something of very, very badly.   I think you have some problems with your computer - what are the specifications of your computer.

  Which versions of Adobe are you running? Your computer (s) corresponds to the Minimum requirement specified for each program.

  What operating system do you use?

  1 - could be done with the specifications of your system and/or the speed of your hard drive - what are the specifications of your system, what is the speed of your hard drive.

  2 - some programs may take a long time to get out, I have this experience with InDesign - and I think it's just dumping memory.   3 - I think that there is a system problem. I recommend do you a system with a tool like CCleaner - also to uninstall all the programs that you do not use at all (I mean not here Adobe programs). I think that a cleaning the registry with CCLeaner would also help. Also, it wouldn't hurt to take a look at the startup items and remove any program that starts up in the background when the system boots, disable unnecessary startup programs will free up system resources and allow a faster startup time.

  4. I susggest you raise this issue on the Extensis site - I don't think that InDesign/Photoshop/and other programs are designed to operate in this way - it's a little unusual for me.

  I don't think that there is nothing wrong with their products - I think that you should look to optimize your system to run a little better programs and you will have a much more enjoyable time.

  I use photoshop CS5 Extended version 12.1 x 64 to work designing banners. The process involves me using pre-existing photoshop templates that are used over and over again. These models have been created God knows when and as such there are diapers with missing fonts, but they are hidden and unimportant for my task. Everytime I open the models that I get an error message missing fonts, which reads:

  "Some text layers contain missing fonts. These layers must have replaced missing fonts before they can be used for vector output. »

  

  I am aware of that, and I'd rather not be reminded everytime I open a model, having to confirm that I understand the question, especially when I open 10-20 models at the same time. So my question is, is it possible to set parameters so that this error message stops appearing. I will note thate e also use a customer of universal Type for fonts, which replaces the need for photoshop fonts.

  If I can find a way to disable this error message, it would certainly speed up the process of opening files.
