Picture of problematic Bluray disc burned with disk utility

Hi all:

I export out of first two sequences: one is a 11 minute video that I exported a Bluray 1080 pm 23.976 h.264. The other is a sequence of 2 hours that I exported with h.264 Bluray 720 p 23.976. I has .m4v and WAV in again and made a basic menu, related all this and built a Bluray disk image. It was released as a 9 GB .iso. I then brought in disk utility which I burned on a Bluray disc on my mac pro book using an external Bluray drive via the USB port. I used the front disc to burn a blu ray and it worked fine. But this time when I go to play the disc after burning (using the same USB) DVD (mac OS app) says "disc not available".

I tried several times with different long projects and I get the same questions.

Any thoughts?

Johnny

My 'mac os support for playback of bluray' google suggests that the standard player mac does not support playback of bluray. I'd love to learn otherwise.

Before El Capitan (10.11.2), I was able to burn a DVD using "disk utility".  Here are the instructions that I used.  Disk utility has now a new version Version 15.0 (1511.3) and the statement no longer work.  Can anyone update these instructions?

    Copy DVD

Follow these instructions to make a copy of your DVD unprotected:

Insert your DVD into your Mac. Most Macs will automatically launch the DVD player. Once he starts, he gave up. You should see your DVD drive mounted on your desktop.

Open disk utility (Applications > utilities). Select the DVD drive in the list on the left. You will notice that there are two DVD icons - select the one slightly indented (this is the DVD itself, while the first is the drive).

Click on "New Image" in the main window of disk utility.

Choose a name and a destination in the window "Save as...". ». Don't forget that your destination should have enough space to copy the whole DVD, which can be more than four concerts.

In the window "Save as...". ', to ensure that the selection 'Format of Image' is set to ' CD/DVD Master' and the selection of "Encryption" is set to 'none '. Click Save.

After you have copied the DVD in your destination drive, return to disk utility. Your new disk Image will appear in the list on the left side of the disk utility window. The original disc of DVD on your Mac.

Insert a DVD disc that is accessible by writing in your Mac. Select your disk Image created in the list on the left side of the disk utility window. Click on "Burn" in the main window of disk utility. Choose your burn speed and if you want to check the data burned.

You will receive confirmation once you the DVD are engraved with success and you are all set with a new copy of your DVD drive. Just save your new disk Image and you can make a copy whenever you may need.

That is right. Apple has removed this feature FROM.

You can do it from the Finder

  • Formatting disk with disk utility.

I can't have the "Score" button to activate (see photo). I need to reformat a drive in GUID. THE don't let me. Please help me. Thank you.

Just use Erase. It will set the table to partition and wipe the drive. If you then need to divide the disk, you can use the partition tab.

Disk utility partitions no long MBR disks. I think diskutil in the Terminal will always do, however.

  • Is cloning with disk utility (10.11), reliable? Can you do trust sound check?

I cloned a 4 to with bad sectors (according to DriveDx) and a new 4 to. The drive is successfully verified. Can I trust the contents of the new drive? If the player has verified that means that bad sectors were readable, or just that copied by the damaged disk data utility "with success."

Another thing, when I started the computer, Time Machine does not recognize that the new disc is a clone of the previous and delete all backups of the previous player (nice one Time Machine)... so now, only two copies of my entire life are these two 4TBs...

  • disk space disk utility

I'm really getting fed up with the OS x team. They killed another great utility in El Capitan "disk utility". Now it won't let me create disk or partition of any player images. It gives me the following error:

"(null)" doesn't have enough available space to create the 'Home' disc image file Choose a different volume at least 125,49 GB of available disk space to continue.

I intended to create the image of the score by one user profile (the user was not logged) on 2.7 TB of free space on the drive connected locally. I also tried a different destination drive (SSD) with about 300 GB of free space with the same result.

Anyone seen this before? All solutions?

They are really kill this great OS. If they continue to do so, I will give up this ecosystem in the same way I did with Microsoft 10 years.

Some time ago, they said they're going with OSX UI to iOS. If that's true, then I better start watching another OS until they completely freeze my workflow.

    Great job Apple!

  • Disk utility doesn't work do not at all

The problem started with my iMac (10.11.6) slows down. I rebooted, it worked fine for a while, and then the problem comes back. I tried three times to use disk utility, but every time it's the same thing: the start box appears on the screen, i. by "tap" first aid, then... nothing. Nothing at all. I then tried to force out the utility disk, but for some reason any Force Quit option suddenly didn't work. Everything I had was the ball Beach and the non-functioning du box. So what's happening? Virus (I have Trend Micro, but nothing is perfect)? The age?

Uninstall Trend Micro anti-virus software. It is not necessary on a Mac and is probably causing the problems you describe with disk utility.

Third party software anti-virus is not necessary on a Mac and cannot cause problems.

  • My disk utility has no encryption option.

I'm trying to format a USB key that I can encrypt.  But my disk utility does not have the drop down option for encryption. Can I have a utility obsolete? OS X El Capitan 10.11.5

In the Finder, when you attempt to encrypt, I get an error message saying "A Partition GUID (GPT) partitioning schΘma Table is necessary".

    Suggestions please.

You must format the disk with a Table of Partition GUID.

You can do if you erase the drive with disk utility. Choose Mac OS extended (journaled, Encrypted) format.

If you encrypt the drive without deleting the content, it's impossible because it is already formatted with a Table of Partition GUID.

I firstly you suggests to save the project to your computer, and then try to burn on a DVD at a slower burning speed.

Choose a speed slower burn to your DVD recorder as follows:

1 back to adding photos and video to the DVD page and then click on Options.
    2. in the DVD burner speed box, select medium or slow.

I have Production Premium with Encore CS6.  I created my first HD project, tested and received no error but when I went to 'Building' my project still on a BluRay disc, I got the error message "ERROR CORE 03".  What should I do to get this project on a BluRay disc?

In response to both Richard & Stan.  I received the error message ""device error", Code '3' notes Create Sequence of STC: cannot write file M25.»  Or something very similar to this, but I think it was exactly that.  It was my first HD project but used several times to make projects sustainable development without problems that were not of my own creation.  So it was a shock and cost me money and the failure to meet a deadline.  What I did: on-screen 'Build '.

    Format: Blu - ray,

    Output: Blu - ray Image,

    Source: Currrent project,

Destination: I Browse... d a location appropriate.  He managed a Blu - ray image.

Using reminder once again, step 2 - on-screen 'Build '.

    Format: Blu - ray,

    Released: Blu - ray Disc,

    Source: Disk Image,

Destination: my disc drive that holds a blank Blu - ray disc.  He managed a Blu - ray disc.

Then I found a job step 2 autour for the problem.  My question is this: I pay $70.00 / month ca to the people Adobe cloud to keep their software up to date and work as advertised.  I do not think I should spend a few hours and lose money looking for a problem created Adobe not yet keeping cs6, updated and works as promised.  I submit my first bug report.  My suspicion is that adobe considers that Blu - ray is out of style, and they do not care to correct this bug in still cs6.

I'd love to know the thoughts of others on this.

A CD to use in an Audio CD drive must be formatted as an Audio CD.

Finder cannot create an audio CD, instead, it creates a data CD.

Therefore, use iTunes to create create an Audio CD.

  • Roxio (disc burning software) request for Image Bootable Disk Bootable DVD to

I have a problem in creating a Bootable file Windows10.iso DVD disc.   It always happens after that I just download and the software does not have disc burning for me.  (Maybe I have make mistakes).  It takes several hours for me to download the Windows10.iso file, but I have it on my hard drive.

I have download Windows10.iso on my Win 7 Pro (64-bit) system and also to download Windows10.iso on my Win Home of 8.1 system (64-bit).  So I should have a 10 Pro window and a version of window 10 Home.

I don't want to start the Media Center window to download again and try to burn.

I tried using the Roxio software to burn the disc, by selecting the Windows10.iso and when I click on the make it bootable, it ask me to select the Bootable image on my hard drive.   I don't know where to find it or the name of the file.

How can I fix this error?

This error is probably from multiple sources and it has no uniform solution reported. It can be drive or media. It can be permissions. A reinstall of the still has set at least a situation. Reduce the size of the bitrate/project can avoid the error. Make sure that you still run 'as administrator'.
