picture password problems

Hello all, I am pleased that these forums exist.  With this new product, it is good to have others to learn with.  I did a search and did not find all the messages with my problem. I set up a password photo on my Pro 128 GB version with the keyboard Surface.  It seems to work very well until it goes into sleep mode after not to use a little. On restart the picture screen password no longer exists. I have to type my real password to unlock my surface. When I go into the settings, I see that the parameters and the pictures are still there, but the unlock screen does not contain the picture password.  I'm sure it is a bug in the software and I was wondering if there was a fix for it.

Thanks for your help,

Rick

Surface is a computer of Windows 8, so it could go in two places. Either it's a bug of obvious software because it sometimes works in a way and not others.  Material either works or does not work, and there is nothing on this computer that does not work the only glitch, thats why Windows 8 is more logical for me. No matter where, anyone thinks that it is it doesn't seem to be the case at the moment. I can now access the choice of connection and the picture password doesn't seem to be forthcoming.  I couldn't find an answer, but as long as it's gone, I'm ok.

Thanks to those who had suggestions for a solution.

  • Cannot set the picture password after deleting e-mail coporate - RT of Windows account

I added my e-mail account to company for the e-mail application integrated and told me that the security settings would change and I knew.  Basically, the company policy was a strong password and the password for the photo, and the PIN password found himself distraught.    I was fine with that but I have now deleted the account of the company of my account yet the photo and password PIN create buttons are always disabled, and I was not able to reactivate them outside of a complete reinstallation of the operating system.

I looked and see only problem with a Surface attached to a domain, but which relate to me as I am with the Surface/Windows RT which cannot be joined to a domain.  I tried but some register with no luck.

Someone point me in the right direction on how to recover the ability to use the picture password.

    Thank you

You can reset the security policies by visiting Office

Access control Panel\User and familyuser accounts Safety\ accounts

On the left side, you will see "reset security policies" link.

Click reset security policies , and then click OK in the confirmation box.

You should now be able to configure the picture passwords again.

    I hope this helps...

  • Windows 7 password problem: does not recognize password after waking from sleep

So I have recently buy a netbook with Windows 7 operating system. I create the administrator account and password protect. All right, install software, copy documents, etc. in the "My Documents" folder and happily use the machine for a few days with no problems. Then work off the battery voltage, put the PC in sleep for some time. When I try and log back in after the awakening of the PC, it does not recognize the password. Try with cap locks, off and all the rest, but not luck. I must finally remove the battery and restart. Sign in as normal (the password is recognized) and go in the user administrator account to disable the password, but then again, the current password is not recognized and I am not allowed to make changes. However, I can still close and log on by using the current password. Confused. Anyine have any ideas?

There is no need to remove the battery or pull the taken when force a PC to stop. By pressing the power button for about ten seconds will do the trick.

Your password problem: you might be dealing with a foreign keyboard problem. Make the password to something that is independent of the keyboard configuration, for example 123456.

To reset the administrator password, follow these steps:
    1. click on start.
    2. type the three letters cmd in the search box.
    3. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    4. click on "run as Administrator".
    5. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
    net localgroup administrators
(This will show you the accounts that have administrative privileges. What is?)
    NET user administrator 123456
(This will set the password to 123456)

    Dear users,

I can not pass on a picture password - it is not in the settings (Security & Privacy > password device).

    Now on Z10STL100-2/10.2.1.3175

I tried earlier on 10.2.1.2141 certainly. I wanted to give it an another try on 3175, but I can't turn it on at all. Any thoughts, please?

You are on a BES or connected to a work Exchange account?  If one of the people requires a password on the device then I think there is no password photo.

  • Verification of password problem

I'm operating an iPad myself using OS 9.3.3. When I try to update the applications on the device, it says that it cannot check the Apple ID and password. The Apple ID and password are valid as I can get into the 'manage... '. "Web page with them. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Close the App Store, sign out of your ID, restart the device, then reconnect and try again.

To close the App Store application, press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Drag to the left to find the application you want to close. Swipe up on the preview of the application to close.

Go to settings > iTunes and App Store, enter your Apple ID and log out.

Now restart. To restart, press the power button until the cursor and then drag it to the right to close. Press and hold the power button until you see the logo Apple is reactivated.

Return to the settings and connect again. Try to update the applications again.

  • Unable to send mail via exchange server with Version 38.0.1 - password problems

Last week, when my computer desktop auto-upgraded to 38.0.1, he lost the ability to send mail with SMTP. (It always returns an error message saying that the password is not recognized). I went around and with the administration of the server, and they are sure that the problem is on my end. All server settings are correct, according to the administration of the server and, in any case, I do not change them what has worked with earlier versions of this morning, I finally had to restart Thunderbird on my home computer. I tested the Version 31 immediately before restart - it worked. Then I tried the Version 38.0.1 immediately after the restart, - it did not work.

I have disabled the firewall on the computer, but it made no difference. Both computers running all Windows 64-bit both 8.1; they have two different firewalls.

I pasted in the troubleshooting information in Thunderbird below.

  • Password problems and the slowness of IMAP with BTYahoo

After changing POP IMAP, I experience slow responses (including Thunderbird does not) and repeated messages to change my password. My work around is to remove all the password stored in Thunderbird, close and re - open Thunderbird, enter my existing password and get Thunderbird to save him. Also, I have to enter my password when sending emails. After this Thunderbird works well (but very slow to get new emails) for a few days. Then I get a message that my password is not accepted and to enter a new password - which none are accepted. My impression is that this message occurs when Thunderbird updates draft records, sent or deleted from the server. Encryption with the server synchronization problem?
When things work, on the opening of Thunderbird the new e-mail list is displayed but cannot be opened for some time. During this wait, Thunderbird does not not msg occurs if I try another action such as moving a slider to see an old email.
Any suggestions on how to solve my problems?

It turns out that my problem was due to an interaction of the Thunderbird and McAfee antivirus. That has been fixed to be scanned and attached to an incoming mail causing Thunderbird does not Msg. Power analysis of attachment of the fixed e-mail off my problem

  • Admin password problem

I have a REALLY weird problem all of a sudden. I have only one user (Admin) on my Macbook running El Capitan, and all of a sudden OS X does not recognize my password after login.

In other words, I can connect fine, but after that whenever I need to use my credentials to allow OS x to perform certain actions (like the moving an application to the trash, or unlock the locking in the preferences system - even change my password), it says that the password is incorrect.

I tried to change the password via the Recovery Mode, which worked - but once again, until I logged in. I thought it might be a permission problem, but El Capitan has this feature in disk utility, then I tried with a terminal sudo command - but even here it takes a password that does not work.

    Any help would be appreciated!

You use another Source of input (keyboard language).

I can see what happens if the login page uses an input Source and your user account uses another.
