Pictures: compression of unwanted pictures

Hello

After a photo session, I transferred my photos to Photos. The next day, I tried to transfer these pictures (JPEG, 5 MB/image) to a file on a USB key so used "copy / paste" directly from Photos to my office.

Here's the thing: the pictures were half, they were originally (2 MB).

When I look at the masters, they are still 5 MB.

Is there a way to transfer images, Photos, without losing the unnecessary weight?

Thank you for your help

Copy and paste into the window of Photos will transfer your photos JPEG previews.

To transfer the original to your USB device selection photos in Photos and use the command "file > export > export non-original", and select a folder on your USB device.

Use the same zip program to unzip the file that you used to zip.

You can also see one of them, depending on your version of Windows:

  • Unwanted in 'My pictures' folders are multiplying. I can't get rid of them.

"My pictures" file has reproduced hundreds of my dozens of images of time and I can't get rid of them.  I highlight, hit 'clear' and while they are moved to the Recycle Bin, they are also copied, so I find myself with the same overwhelming files I want.  Now, Picasa is also importing and copying.  Help, please.

Place your pointer over the selected group
(holding the key ctrl) and left click / drag

    release the mouse button.

    Ooops! More copies...

    Maybe the following will help:

Copies are created when you are unable to

you move the pointer to another file. When a group
the selected file is dragged... even the slightest

copies of all the files previously highlighted.

It's a little easier if you have your folder
Options set at single click... that way you can
select/deselect a file with just a mouse more
and you don't have to click. For multiples you
I have to keep... CTRL or Shift.

His only 800ko? It is not very big for a picture. Are you sure that's not 800MB.

    You misunderstood the previous poster.

There are some for which image formats compressing does little or no good. for example you could record 10 bytes.
There is no point in compressing images.

Is your image in JPG, png, gif, bitmap, etc. etc. But of course you can lose quality. (for example, change jpeg to gif).

In this case it would be cheaper to buy more space. The space is relatively cheap, especially compared to the cost of your time

The main problem is, you have not specified clearly what you are doing and also not a not post your package specifications. After looking more closely at your code, I found that you use gmail.smtp.com and probably with stunnel (UTL_SMTP supports SSL).
In addition, the main idea is to http://monkeyonoracle.blogspot.com/2009/11/plsql-and-gmail-or-utlsmtp-with-ssl.html
If you would like to mention these facts, then probably someone can help you more sooner. In any case, it is an example of work of sending e-mail by using the gmail SMTP server.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I compress pictures by roxio or other software to save memory space?

My photos are usually 4MB. I am currently compress every photo less than 100 KB before copying to save memory space on my "BOLD", but it is laborious. I hoped that roxio would do this for me, but it seems fair to copy like-for-like. Is there a function in roxio or any other software that will accelerate this process for me?

I have recently updated from Pearl to "BOLD", and I'm in love. I followed messages on this site and solved 90% of the minor issues, I had, so thank you for all the help a lot.

You can use a program like Photoshop, Gimp to do. Most graphics programs come with some sort of compression software.

You transfer on the device memory or a media card? If they are on a media card, them they don't are not recorded in the memory of the device and you wouldn't have to worry about their compression

  • compression not sharp picture

I'll be updating adobe CC. I'm going to compression of images for Web sites and they have always been strong, but now when I compress my photos they are blurry, also when I do the maximum. How is that possible? Normally, I have sharp images (300 x 200) about 60 KB to the internet.

    Who can help me?

  • Why is my picture of being compressed files?

I've just updated to CS6.  My original files are 20 + mp but when I import them to HP, they are instantly compressed to less then 10 mp.  Why is it happening and how to fix it?

I think it depends on what photoshop CS6 preference:

Disable the Compression of the PSD and PSB files: This option allows you to get faster backups, but larger files.

This is obviously a safer compression without loss, but if you don't want this, select this option.

  • How to crop a picture and delete the unwanted part?

I don't have any shots 'face' of myself, but one having a few 'action plans', so I thought to scan them and change the background. I kept the photos in format JPEG in paint and Windows Live Photo Gallery.

I'm sure that in the past I could crop and remove 95%. What happened to programs... OR (gulp) me? I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

You seem to have got the open image in the painting , so here are some basic instructions for this program.

    1. Open the image in Paint.
    2. Click on the half top of the button Select of the Image group... The cursor changes to a cross when above the area of the image.
    3. Click and hold the mouse button on one of the corners (for example at the top left) to your growing area desired. Drag the mouse to the opposite corner of the area of crops (for example at the bottom right) and release the mouse button.
    4. Click on the button to crop to the Image group.
    5. If you are not satisfied with the harvest, press Ctrl + Z to Undo the action and start over.
This should be enough to get you what you want.
