  Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling BBM?

  I wonder... the display picture... is it stored on your sd card?  If so what happens if you rename this picture or start your phone without the inserted sd card.  You are then able to change the screen to another picture bbm?  You can also connect your blackberry to a computer and move the file to your deskop and perform a battery pull.

  If this does not work, another option is to reload the software for the device.

  Hi please can anyone help because this problem is driving me crazy!  I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and inserted memory card.  All I want to do is upload my pictures from the phone to my PC: I downloaded the latest media sync software and when I connect the BB, 16 photos only upward - there is more than that - and these are the old photos that have already been "deleted."  The pictures which I am posting on the phone are nowhere to be seen!  GGGRRRRRRR...  I looked at the properties of the photos that I can't download and they are listed as/DeviceMemory/home/user/pictures/IMG00173--I tried to activate the USB in the menu memory and I just get these 16 old photos.  I looked at the device on my computer and I see these 16Photos blasted in the 'images' folder in the folder of blackberry, but when I open the 'camera' album is empty!  How is that possible?  I think there may be a ghost in the machine, and I will be find out soon as the * beep * thing will be projected against the wall and stamped on repeatedly.  Help, please...

  On your device, go and move all these photos to the media card.  Plug in the device, then drag them from the media card reader with the workstation.

  Recently, I bought a curve 8520 BB. Can someone please help... I have to restart the device (out of battery) whenever I want to see the new photos or video I took. How can I solve this problem? Thephotos appear in my memory card until restarted.

  Are you sure that the photos are stored on the card of press?

  Open the camera > Menu button > Options... scroll to the bottom, where is the default location for SAVE IN for photos?

  It shouldn't take a reboot to see the pictures, however, I saw that the device needs a restart of the cache of media seem to show the new pictures in the photos section.

  If instead, you click on the media icon > press the Menu key > Explorer and navigate to the correct folder, you see the new images AFTER a new photo is taken, without having to reboot?

  I just installed the Desktop Manager and played with passing the BB a photo to computer.  Just 1 photo.  Once I disconnected and tried to look at the pictures on the device list, a few thumbnails open and simply remain blackened.  It's a bit like the computer, when it takes a few pictures a short time to download, but then they pop open.  Here, I still can't select the ones to display. The phone is a week old, and I don't have a lot of things on it.  I tried to restart, change the mass storage, etc. the troubleshotting manual mode, nothing works.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If it is a common problem, I rather would match the BB now.  No problem up to this point, however.

  Hmmm... interesting, Media Manager is supposed to be the best way to move media files to and from a BB. But, I must admit that I've never used for the pictures... only for video (so that it can transcode them to the optimal format for playback on the BB). Did you do a batt pull proper restart?

  • Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  The 8700 has extremely limited storage space for photos. It does not allow for the simple transfer of files to and from the PC. The best way to get photos on your 8700 is send to your self as an attachment. One time received, open the image, and then save as a backdrop.

  Go to the icon of your media > press the Menu key > explores.

  Now navigate to your image in question, that you want to hide.

  Open the image, open the properties, and you should be able to click on "Hide" now.

  There are no stupid questions. This is why we are here.  When you get on your photo you want.  Press the menu button, and then click zoom.  Zoom to the desired location. Press the trackball.  Then, you set that and now you can go from left to right top to bottom!
