  If you want to reinstall, do not delete anything. Use the uninstaller in your CS4 folder and if asked, select "delete preferences" then uninstall. When you have finished reinstalling, downloading and updates.

• Made the switch from the Firefox chrome; now, meeting places and a few videos does not work

  Salvation; I'm wanting to get away from chrome, but in firefox, I can't get the 'hangouts' working in gmail, even if I do not have the googletalkplugin installed on my pc. Another issue I see is that, on some pages, video does not work; in the latest version of chrome, I understand that the flash thing has changed and I guess that firefox has not changed in the same way. I hesitated when downloading a plugin, as shown on the screenshot for fear that it will mess up video in chrome, I would use chrome. I would rather not switch back from firefox to chrome to phone or watch the video. Help, please.

  Working! I had the talk plugin set to always turn on but I had disabled the video because I only use the phone, but apparently, they both need to be addressed to always activate... Please mark this as resolved and thank you!

• InDesign CS4 does not (win)

  All of a sudden I can't Indesign to open correctly. I get the splash n it opens three panels (swatches, layers, essentials) but will not do anything else. I get the same results if I try to open the program from an icon of Indesign, from the windows menu start or clicking on an Indesign file. Everything worked fine last night. I restarted the computer, but I have the same problem. Illustrator and Photoshop are functioning normally. I am running CS4 for Windows. Any suggestions?

  I tried everything and nothing worked but I talked to our guys to IT and they said that the problem was with anti virus program:

  Entry keyboard secure on OSX interferes with keyboard shortcuts within InDesign CC 2015.

  Disabling this function restores the keyboard shortcuts

  Everything works fine now!

• PDF in InDesign files does not work

  Hi all, this is my first post on the Adobe community.  I have a problem arose last week and I'm going crazy.  Help, please!  I'm running on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5.

  I have been using a workflow to create tables in InDesign for months without any problem:

  1 calculate a complex table in Excel

  2 paste the table into PowerPoint for formatting

  3. copy the table in PowerPoint, then paste it returned as a pdf image

  4 option-click on the pdf image on the slide to save it as a pdf file

  5. go to a picture InDesign who already has a linked picture, again the link to the new pdf file.

  This workflow has been very helpful because I have a lot of complex and carefully set tables in form, I need to get into InDesign.  Now, since upgrading both my Microsoft Office 2011 and my Adobe CS6 SW it does not.

  I can copy, paste-as-pdf, save the pdf file.   But when I try to link to it in InDesign we get the message "cannot open the pdf file.

  I always followed the old files to pdf without problem, and I can use this workflow on the pdf text of PowerPoint files.  Pdf files that contain tables do not bind in InDesign.  I tried to make the past-as-pdf in Microsoft Word and the behavior is the same.

  All PDFs in Acrobat air.

  I get the same results here that you get, and I see no reason for this. I was able to open the PDF file in Illustrator (not something I would recommend most of the time, but this file has no text) and re-register without any changes and it ended. I think it must be something that adds Mac Quartz or leaving out, but I can't say what.

  They really are paintings rather than what we normally consider as tables. Do you have Illustrator? It would be easy enough to replicate these in Illustrator directly (and not so difficult to ID using traditional tables with different fills blank cells), but if you're comfrotable in Excel, it is generally recommended that Excel graphs pasted in Illustrator and then put in memory in PDF format.

• Action written in CS4 does not work properly in items 11 - contexts the 'selective' layer

  I created an action with the help of Adobe Photoshop CS4, and that it works in CS4.  When I save and load the action in 11 elements, there is a problem with the selective color layer.  The selective color layer is revealed in the stack of layers with the message whereas it cannot be edited b/c it was created in the full version of Photoshop. However, the layer itself has no changes in color/inside.

  In Photoshop, the selective color layer makes the photo look pink.  When I run the action in Elements11, selective color layer doing absolutely nothing to the photo.  I don't have the turned eye "on" to display the layer, and it is on the correct merge options & opacity (normal, 100%).

  If I run the action in Photoshop, save the file with all the layers created by the action and reopen the file in 11 elements, THEN the selective color layer shows its correct pink color.  But when I run the action as an autonomous action in Elements11, is not.

  Can anyone offer help as to why this is happening? Is there something special I need to do to make the action work in 11 elements? My understanding is that he must RUN and create the layers correctly, although some of them cannot be changed in Elements11. However, as it is, is not creating them with the appropriate color.

  selective color layer is not supported in PSE11. So any stage to edit would result in the error message saying that the layer can not be displayed.

  For your case, I believe that the recorded action starts by creating a selective correction blank adjustment layer and then tries to change and thus translates into a mistake.

  

  Even the effort to apply the effect by using result of adjustments of image by mistake as the "selective" command is not available.

  I would try to find another way to apply the effect, but I don't know if there is a way to apply an adjustment layer that is not supported by PES

• 2 project time in CS5 "exceeds the capacity of the drive" just in CS4 does not work.

  My apologies in advance, but I looked in the forums a bit and while some people have my problem, it doesn't seem to be a clear solution or reason. Here's the question:

  Using the same parameters of SOUL in CS5 as I did in CS4 gives projects that "exceed the capacity of the drive."

  This is my workflow:

  Modify the project in first CS5.

  Project of export to MPEG2-DVD using my own custom settings. (I use the parameters of quality of NTSC, but change in 2 passes instead of 1).

  After that SOUL is over, I still open and import the M2V file.

  Place the menus (always the same menus) and construction ISO. I have transcoded any video in yet since we started using CS4.

  Now, this procedure has allowed me to create ISOs up to 2 hour and 10 M without any problems or warnings at all.

  We stayed in CS5, and now the same length of video with the same custom settings (described above) creates an ISO that fits on a DVD.

  I did a few shallow checks and it seems that my settings NTSC high quality are the same between CS4 and CS5. There's no other choice of codec to use for the MPEG2-DVD.

  I don't use audio in most of my projects, and what I describe in this post is also leaving out the audio because I do not use it. I eliminate the audio track in first, export / transcode without audio and there is no audio added once the sequence again.

  So, what gives? I tried transcoding this project of 8 hours twice. Needless to say that it's time consuming and as it is a business, I don't have time to re - transcode all night for days at a time just for tweaking the settings previously worked flawlessly.

  Anyone has any ideas on this subject? I'll provide more information if necessary. Thanks in advance!

• InDesign CS4 does not display the icon in the shape of triangle for the images changed into links

  My InDesign crashed the other day and now it gives me is no longer the yellow triangle icon in the links Panel to indicate that image has been changed and must be updated. I generally do not connect the image to the original through Indesign, but work independently in Photoshop. This has never been a problem. After that I updated the image in PS, the triangle appears instantly in ID in order to be able to click on it and update the image.

  I can always click on the Refresh button to update the image, but I wish that these rear indicators because it helps me with older documents - so that I can know what are the images really need to update and which are not.

  I restarted the Panel and launched and closed the bridge such as suggested in other older discussions, and he has not made a difference. I also noticed that if I try to open the original image by ID with open with, the icon for the PS, for example, doesn't think I'm in PS (it opens the image in Windowd Paint).
