Placement of video on a photographic background

I have imovie 10.1.1 installed on my mac. I have a simple task that is confusing to me. I want to place a video on a background of photo so that I can crop the video to fit the photo using the photo as a frame. I tried to do, but keep. I'm unable to access advanced features when I selected iMovie preferences. Does anyone have a solution to this? I use OS x El Capitan.

You use the image in the image to the function to that.   In iMovie, go to the Help menu and type Picture-in-Picture, and you will get instructions

How to insert a PIP.

Basically, you place your video above the photo was of the timeline, select the video and then click on the button overlay (the one that looks like the sum of squares) in the toolbar at the top of your screen.   Select the image in the image.   In the preview screen, you will see your video that just overlap the photo and will be able to adjust the size and position of your video in the photo.

  • Video with a transparent background?

Is it possible to add the video with a transparent background for a site of Muse? All video widgets I've found require mp4 or ogg and webm, and as much as I did the research none of these formats support alpha channel transparency. FLV seems like it might work, but Adobe no longer supports export FLV and widgets I found either. There are a few other posts on this but none of them, I found has been resolved. Any help would be great. Thank you

You can add a custom player with defined video file format or add code to integrate with the defined file format.

    Thank you

What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

So for now I will generalize.

If you have the video on the video track 2 and video in the video on the Video 1 track just below, is that the video on the video 2 track you will see, unless there is a transparency in the video on video Track 2 file that will allow the video on the video 1 track to show through.

    So with regard

I have two video clips in a window and want to know how to place the video clip has, in a small window, to the video clip

    a. Select the video to the video Track 2 and resize it down and reposition it.

    or

    b. use a PiP (Picture in Picture) that you drag in the video on video track 2.

(These effects PiP is generally with the effects in the category of Presets).

Please let me know if I have targeted your question. If this isn't the case, please itemize the information that I need to know to help you.

    Thank you.

  • Can I turn on video greenscreen in video with a transparent background (instead of default black arr.plans

Can I turn on video greenscreen in video with a transparent overlay on another video in another program background.  probably export to avi.     I know that I can't in sequels but uncomfortable with the first.   I basically want to turn the greenscreen of a black Windows to cs6 body transparent background

[email address removed by the host of the forum]

Prejudice is correct. It would be better to modify in the program where you hidden green. However, if you really must...

DPX is one file per image. Although you are not able to open it from Windows, it is only because Windwos was told not to open them in Photoshop.

The point of the whole of the DPX file is to have a storage visually without loss of your executives that is designed to be used between applications (just what you want to do): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Picture_Exchange

However, if you prefer to use another option you are most comfortable with, you can use the PNG.

    Or...

If you insist on a single video, use the codec for Quicktime Animation.

In all cases, you need to an image format or a video CODEC that can store an Alpha channel.

    Or...

Export the video with black and use a Luma key in the next request.

    Or...

Export the video with black and then export a video of just the alpha channel as a picture blabk and white where black is transparent when it is used as cache by approach, and then in the next application use video of the alpha channel as a cache by approach.

Since you have not said what is the other application or why you want to use it, we have a little trouble with a specific solution.

  • How to place a video inside the title sequence?

It's called a cinemagraphs.com. You slice the image in the foreground and background elements, plug the holes and then place them in a 3D space - in after effects or a 3D program, no PS

  • Overlay one GIF/video with a black background on images with light shades

I have a repetitive GIF I want to superimpose on this again in a PremPro CC title sequence.

The hawk was a GIF that I converted into a video and rendering the Photoshop CC MP4.

The idea is that the Eagle flies down and Lands on the title, so I placed the short hawk video in its own sequence and repeated enough times to cover the time from the title sequence.  My thoughts as I could to scale and move the hawk as a single sequence.

The problem is that I can not remove the black background.  Google told me to use the screen mode, but will not work on this background.  I guess I messed up when rendered from Photoshop and should somehow doing this with an alpha channel, but basically, I have no idea.

I am especially well with Photoshop, along with PremPro and struggle with AE when I have to.  Windows 7 if it made a difference. 1080 p H.264

    Thank you

BTW, the GIF has a transparent background

OK, I thought about her from a very old Photoshop forum thread.  H.264 does not support transparency, and I go out to one. MOV that enabled alpha channel options.  Fortunately, I had installed Quicktime.

I'll mark this supposed responded to clear the thread.

Thanks anyway.  I know that I need help down the road.

  • Struggling to place the video in the indesign section

    Hello

New Creative Suite and DPS - and I'm doing something I would have assumed was pretty easy - put a .mov video in an article...

It is a large QuickTime movie, defined on iPad dimensions - Codec Mpeg 2

When I try and put this file as InDesign, I tells me that I need to convert it to a Swf using Adobe Media Encoder flie, but when opening Media Encoder video is grayed out in the selection of import.  Even if I select the import option to "all files" it remains greyed - so I can't align the media encoder to convert the video to the required type suitible for InDesign?

I did some research online and it seems that a lot of people managed to correctly place the .mov files in InDesign?

    I am confused... and ideas?

    Neil.

You may be able to place the .mov in the Indesign document. But if you tp plan publish it to DPS, it won't work. A video file .mp4 will work with DPS

  • PrPro CS4 - a video with a transparent background?

I've been using PrPro for quite awhile, but I'm certainly not adept, so I need to rely on you, experts here.

I do short videos for my website, www.topographic.com. One of the compatible elements of the videos is something I call a 'swoosh,' that slides at the bottom of the screen, then superimposes the name of the person in the frame, then slips again. (This can be seen on this video, http://youtu.be/RW5d5J9ypsE, 15 seconds in.)

The swoosh was created in CorelDraw and exported as a .png with a transparent background. But everytime I want to use it in various videos, I recreate the effect of movement, including the ease in / deceleration. I want to make the process faster and easier just to create a video clip with the swoosh already in it, but we should have a transparent background. Is it possible to do?

I know I could use chroma key, I was hoping to avoid if possible because it still requires a certain amount of time and effort, but if that's the only way, sobeit.

Is there such a thing as a video equivalent to a .png with a transparent background?

    Thank you!

Export as a microsoft avi, codec no and 32-bit depth.

This will give a videofile with transparent background and can be used in any project.

  • video player called watch background

    Hi all is there,

We have a page, showing little content, and the user can tap on a thumbnail of the video. We then invoke the video player and the video opens and plays normally. The title and the menu hide after a few seconds. Attaching of tape on video, bring back them, but also shows the content of the underlying page for a brief moment, which is really annoying.

    See here for a video:

    https://DL.dropbox.com/u/15044447/videoplayer.MP4

    We invoke tha drive via:

    request.setUri (QUrl (url));
    request.setMimeType ("video");
    request.setTarget ("sys.mediaplayer.previewer");

The easiest way to get rid of this effect would be to cover all of the content of the underlying page with a black rectangle, but there must be a 'real' solution for this problem. Is there someone who can help or is faced with the same problem?

    Thanks in advance.

This was noted as a bug in their own country and has since been fixed (I asked, and it is verified)

nothing should be replaced by a developer point of view, with a new update of device the problem should disappear. Unfortunately; We have not any time/information regarding when this fix will be available for the production machines.
