What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

So for now I will generalize.

If you have the video on the video track 2 and video in the video on the Video 1 track just below, is that the video on the video 2 track you will see, unless there is a transparency in the video on video Track 2 file that will allow the video on the video 1 track to show through.

So with regard

I have two video clips in a window and want to know how to place the video clip has, in a small window, to the video clip

a. Select the video to the video Track 2 and resize it down and reposition it.

or

b. use a PiP (Picture in Picture) that you drag in the video on video track 2.

(These effects PiP is generally with the effects in the category of Presets).

Please let me know if I have targeted your question. If this isn't the case, please itemize the information that I need to know to help you.

Thank you.

  • In Movie Maker 6.0 can a video clip (with mute) be spliced in another video clip so it seems to work with the original sound of the first video?

    Hi, I put a video together for my MOM to 70th and one of her friends has provided a video clip of her playing a classical piece on the piano for several minutes.  I would like to cover this clip with other video sequences (landscapes, etc.) whereas the way piano since the main video track in the background.
    I tried to let fall the piano video file directly in the audio editing panel and then cut a second 20 segment in the video editing and insert a 20 second video (mute) images of landscape. However, the piano audio from the first video stops as soon as the strike chronology inserted piece landscape and picks up again when it ends, even if the audio scenario shows the audio piano continuously?  Am I missing a step or is this not possible?   Thank you very much.

    It should work quite as much as you described in Windows Movie Maker 6.0 (WMM 6.0), then maybe there is a step that is missed.  Let me describe how I could do and see if there's something you overlooked.

    First of all, I assume that you have already imported the clip of piano and your other clips of landscape in your collection then you can drag the there where necessary.  First, drag the piano music to the track Audio / Music in the timeline panel.  Note that if you have your video extended timeline, it will show video, Transition & Audio, but you want to get off- below that, to the Audio / Music , to follow.  At this point if you play your 'film', you should not to see any picture but just to hear the sound of the piano.  You should also only see a waveform on the audio / music.

    Now you can put anything you want on the video track.  Let's start by putting another copy of the original video of piano, but this time on the video track.  If you have developed the video track (to see the Vidéo/Audio/Transition) you will see the video piano and its associated audio waveform.  However, in your case, since you already have the audio separated, you want to cut that his partner.  Right-click on the Audio (attached to the video) track and select Muteor use the menus (Clip > Audio > Mute).

    When you preview the project, you have synchronized video browsing with the original copy of the audio piano.  At the point in the video where you want to replace the video with another piano play, making a split (key M).  Make another split at the end of the section.  It is very import that select you the video track when you add new divisions and you have not also be divide the track Audio / Music .

    Important: You want to make sure this divide the part that has the exact duration as well as landscape images, you want to replace.  So if you have 20 seconds to add, you divide 20 seconds piano images.

    Right-click on the part of piano footage (video track) and choose Remove.  Then, insert the part of sequences of landscape (also on the video track) in its place.  Once again, you will have need put this added sequence muted landscape (Clip > Audio > Mute).

    You should now see and hear the piano play.  Without any change in the audio playback in the preview window should implement the landscape images, then returns to piano images.

    If you find that your project is not behaving correctly after these splits, but are you sure that you have followed these steps, it could be a problem with your video file types.  If in doubt, try to convert all your videos to .wmv format using something like Freemake Video Converter (freemake.com)

    In any case, I hope that you are able to achieve, because it is certainly possible.  Good luck and post back with further questions or information, you can have.

  • Access to video Clips of breast another Clip

    Hello!

    I have a few objects (video clips) on my stage on different layers, but all in the first frame of a layer. And now I want to access this video clips of breast another clip, which is also on the scene like the others.

    If the intro is on the main timeline, you can reference it anywhere using:

  • Collision detection / video clip after another

    I'm working on a shooting game space horizontal scrolling, and I hit a snag: the clip of rocket has two nested layers, for the ship itself and the other for a cycle of animation of the flames out by behind.  The ship loses health when it collides with an enemy ship, but given that the two bodies of the ship and the flames are part of the same clip, the ship, of course, also loses health when the flames hit an enemy ship.  What I'm trying to do, is change it so the fire will destroy the enemy ships, but the player loses all health.  My first inclination was to separate the flames in their own clip and simply attach the ship - that is to say, the clip of flames is basically apparent aboard the ship, on a layer below, but is controlled by a separate script as the ship itself.  The flames would be aligned with the ship, and when the ship is moving, the flames are moving.  Pretty simple.  So far, I have found no effective way to do this.  I tried alternatives (masking, etc, etc) nothing works.  I work in Flash 8, AS2.  Each video clip has its own class.  I can view the code if necessary.  Any advice, or simply a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    Anyone know the code to find the global positioning of the coordinates X and Y of a click of a button which turns constantly,

  • How can I load an external SWF into a clip that is inside another video clip?

    Hello.

    I create my first flash (actionscript 3.0) Web site, but I'm stuck with a visual effect, I want to create.
    I have a window on my website called contentWindow. Whenever you click on a button, this window is supposed to leave the scene, loading the requested content and back on the scene.
    The sliding window is a clip with 83 frames, 21 to enter the stadium, 21 to leave the scene once again, 20 for anything (it's just to simulate the load time) and 21 to the back on the scene.

    Now, my goal is, when the user clicks a navigation button, the window leaves the scene, loading an external SWF with the content and then returned to the scene.

    I have the clip of 'window' with an instance name of "contentWindow". Inside there is an another film clip with an instance name of "contentLoader. The content that the user has requested must appear inside the 'contentLoader.

    Now, when the contentWindow leaves the scene, I get this error message:

  • Change in the depths of video clips with button click

    Hi all

    I have a file work on that has 4 different video clips on a layer which, when clicked, will zoom in (made with the Tween span in the timeline panel).

    The question I have, is that when I click on one of them, they are arranged in a way that does not work for what I need. I click on one and it works, but it is hidden by the clip that is above in the hierarchy. Click on another, zooms, but is partially hidden by another.

    My question is: is he still in AS2 to code these so that when it is clicked on, it will be the first place of the heriarchy? While I can encode all like that so that whenever a user clicks on, it goes to the top, so it is not hidden?

    Thank you

    You can also use a number.  for example:

    {mc.onRelease = function ()}

    this.swapDepths (this._parent.getNextHighestDepth ());

  • Discoloration video, but not out in the video clip.

    Hello.

    I need to run a video that I can turn over any other flash content.

    Since I also have to add sub titles, I decided to import the video clip into a clip. The clip now has as many frames as the video.

    I added subtitles to keyframing a line of text in the video and synchronized it upward with the film. (it was not really easy...)

    I placed an instance of the clip on my main stage in frame 10. I added an on and and STOP simply would take you to a framework later without the movie clip instance and return to frame 10 once again if you want to see the video again. It worked well.

    To book the elegant transistions I wanted to fade video in and out. So on the main stage in the frame of 10 I placed this action script:

    (+ gave my movieclip the instance name mc)

    Stop();

    Import mx.transitions.Tween;

    Import mx.transitions.easing. *;

    var myTween:Tween = new Tween (mc, "_alpha", Strong.easeIn, 0, 100, 2, true);

    well which mitigates the video when the playback head to frame 10.

    There is another part of the script that should be able to tell the end next to the clip and it melted:

    myTween.onMotionFinished = function () {}

    new Tween (mc, "_alpha", Strong.easeOut, 0, 100, 2, true);

    }

    This however, I can't work:

    (1) if I place this code in the frame of 10, the video goes first but immideately faints again.

    (2) I tried to put 15 images of code at the end of the clip, and that did not work.

    (3) I tried to put 15 images of code at the end of the clip and add _parent.  and who does not.

    It is possible to work and if so, how?

    If this isn't the case, please let me know if you have any other approach proven to suggest.

    ggaarde

    If the first interpolation works in the timeline panel, and then in the same timeline in frame of whattever close to the end you just create another interpolation there.

    myTween = new Tween (mc, "_alpha", Strong.easeOut, 0, 100, 2, true);

  • Video clips play in reverse in AS 3.0

    Hey all. I change all my files in AS 3.0 because of a few new elements, I would like to use in flash CS4.
    Here: http://www.iaw-atlanta.com/IvyLeague1-13-09.html I have the bottom navigation menu with 4 buttons. When the buttons are speckled on they go up and when they are mottled the film plays in reverse so they go down. Essentially in the clip, I stopped him, and the next frame gotoAndStop when the button is wriggle on and then have a script of saying things reverse when wriggle on. I know how to do this in AS 2.0, but how can I translate the script to 3.0?

    DjPhantasy5,

    > Ok thanks, I'll see what he also has to say as well.

    In fact, NedWebs pretty much nailed. :) The approach you have taken
    is an interesting question, because it evolves all the way back to Flash Player 5.
    has not yet supported the MovieClip.onEnterFrame event. Without
    event, you need something like your "controller" - a separate symbol
    a loop of timeline - to run the code that depends on the loops of the frame.

    Available from Flash Player 6, this event allows you to
    consolidate your code a bit by putting everything in a unique setting and avoiding
    the additional movie clip symbol. This does not mean that your approach is wrong, by
    any stretching. In fact, it's good to know your options, because if you always
    need to publish for Flash Player 5, you had probably better to use the installation program
    you took.

    I'll demonstrate onEnterFrame in just a bit, in case you want to take a
    Watch this.

    > There is no mention of _root in AS3, but you can use a
    > MovieClip (this.parent) (which replaces what _parent)
    (> used to do) to find something outside the immediate
    > movieclip.

    The term "parent" in this context, is technically a property of the
    The class MovieClip, which means all the clips in AS3 have access to the
    feature 'parent', which points to the timeline that contains the video
    in question. Buttons have also a property 'parent '. In AS2,
    property has done exactly the same thing, only it was preceded by an underscore.

    In fact, the proposed codification of the NedWebs works the same in your existin file.
    Instead:

    Your existing code...
    If {(_root.animation._currentframe>1)}
    _root. Animation.prevFrame ();
    this.gotoAndPlay (2)
    }

    If (_root.animation._currentframe<=1)>
    this.gotoAndStop (1);
    }

    ... you can use this:

    Alternative code...
    If {(_parent.animation._currentframe>1)}
    _parent. Animation.prevFrame ();
    gotoAndPlay (2)
    }

    If (_parent.animation._currentframe<=1)>
    gotoAndStop (1);
    }

    ... because this range - in other words, from this point of view - this
    MovieClip._parent property points to the same scenario as _root done.
    That changes, of course, based on how deeply nested the current scope are.
    The word 'this' in the code above is optional, because Flash understand
    What place you are in. From the point of view of the present code, _parent is
    interpreted as referring to chronology parent of the current, just as scope
    gotoAndPlay() is interpreted to the timeline of the current scope.
    You might precede either of those of 'this' or not.

    Many people will say that _root is probably best to avoid, only because
    It's a slippery slope. It does not always refer to the main timeline you
    think he does, according to whether or not your file SWF is loaded in another
    SWF when running. Meanwhile, _parent * always * refers to the immediately
    relative chronology.

    Then, when you look at this way, this perfectly valid AS2:

    If {(_parent.animation._currentframe>1)}

    ... is not very different at all from its counterpart of the AS3:

    If (MovieClip (parent).animation.currentFrame > 1) {}

    It would be nicer if you need convert the parent as a reference
    Movie clip here, but if you haven't, AS3 do not realize that the scope in
    This is a clip.

    > You can string them along like...
    > MovieClip (this.parent.parent)

    Exactly.

    > Your _currentframe in becomes the controller
    > currentFrame. That's all. The rest of what I have
    > saw will fly as is.

    Not quite. AS3 does not support on() or onClipEvent(), functions
    you will not be able to reach your management code for the button. Instead,.
    you will have to put in a keyframe - you can also do with AS2. There
    a good idea, anyway, because it allows to put all your code in a
    place, making it easier to find.

    Here's a quick word on the direct attachment:

    http://www.quip.net/blog/2006/Flash/museum-pieces-on-and-onClipEvent

    To convert your existing AS3 FLA structure, you could, for example.
    follow these steps:

    animation.buttonMode = true;
    animation.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT, outHandler);
    animation.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, overHandler);

    function outHandler(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    controller.gotoAndPlay (2);
    };
    function overHandler(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    controller.gotoAndPlay (4);
    };

    That supports the code on (rollout) and executed in your current
    Version. The first line (buttonMode) is necessary because I got rid of
    the symbol button and, instead, handlers directly associated with
    your movie clip. (Video clips manage events of type button, too, if you)
    do not need the button.) In AS3, event handling is very simple:
    you are referencing the object (here, animation), invoke its hereditary
    addEventListener() method, then passes two parameters: a) the event to
    Listening and (b) the function to execute when the event occurs.

    You can see that noted above. In AS2, there are several ways
    to handle events, including one () /onClipEvent (), so it is harder to know when
    to use what approach. For the buttons and video clips, the principle works the
    same I just showed, but the syntax is different.

    Let's take a look to reduce all this code using the
    onEnterFrame event. First of all, check out this AS2 version:

    animation.onRollOut = outHandler;
    animation.onRollOver = overHandler;

    function outHandler (): Void {}
    this.onEnterFrame = reversePlay;
    };
    function overHandler (): Void {}
    this.onEnterFrame = null;
    This.Play ();
    };
    function reversePlay (): Void {}
    this.prevFrame ();
    };

    This code would appear in box 1. You don't need the controller
    video clip. The movie clip contains more an orb button, because
    We use the animation itself as the 'button '. (You can still see what)
    a feature that any object is looking toward the top of its class. If you are dealing
    with a clip, see the MovieClip class. See the position properties
    to find out what features of the object, see methods to know
    what the object can do and see events to find out what the object can respond
    (to).

    In the code above, it is prepared quite easily. It is AS2,
    don't forget. We have two events, we are listening to: MovieClip.onRollOut and
    MovieClip.onRollOver. these events are set up for the animated film
    clip using the name of the instance and associated to custom match
    functions. The outHandler() function associates a different function to the
    MovieClip.onEnterFrame event of the animation clip. Very simply, it
    load of animation to make the custom function reversePlay() whenever
    He meets an onEnterFrame event. The overHandler() function that kills the
    Association of suppression outside and saying animation to play, via the
    MovieClip.play () method. Finally, the reversePlay() function simply calls
    MovieClip.prevFrame () on the movie clip.

    Here's the AS3 version:

    animation.buttonMode = true;
    animation.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT, outHandler);
    animation.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, overHandler);

    function outHandler(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    animation.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, reversePlay);
    };
    function overHandler(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    animation.removeEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, reversePlay);
    Animation.Play ();
    };
    function reversePlay(evt:Event):void {}
    evt.target.prevFrame ();
    };

    It seems wordier, but if you look closely, you will see that there
    essentially the same thing. The main difference is the scope of operation in
    AS3. In AS2, there are many references to "it", because the event
    Manager operating in the same scope as the object to which the
    Association is formed. In AS3, the references are not to "that", but rather to
    the same movie clip by his * name *, because in AS3, the scope
    works in the same scenario in which the code is displayed (IE, in this)
    case, the main timeline).

    In the function reversePlay(), in order to emulate a 'this' kind of
    the installer, I refer to the parameter that is passed to the event handler all the
    functions in AS3. I happened to name "TTE" (for the event), but you can call
    it what you like. In the case of reversePlay(), the evt parameter refers to
    an instance of the event class, which has a property to target. The target
    property refers to the object that sent the event - is be
    animation, in this case. Then evt.target, in this context, refers to
    animation, that's what I call the MovieClip.prevFrame () method on.

    I downloaded some FLA files to my server. I keep them

  • Combine all the video clips in a new clip

    Not exactly necessary for my workflow, but something I'd expect to see. In a main element with many intermittent faults, which I clean, either in the viewer or the timeline, my clips unique original becomes a series of video clips. With this master clip now cleaned, I couldn't want to change in a way that maps the changes done to eliminate imperfections. Kinda like having a $5, $4 1 s and the spare change to raise to $10 and preferring to have a single $10 bill, instead, another handful.

    The manual says no way to do it within the FCE. If I export the standalone series of clips as .mov, QT hit the resolution from 1080 to 720 (no thanks). If I export to QT conversion, the 1080 can be maintained, but the only file that results has its image reduced by 20% (?), surrounding it with black borders. When brought within the CTF, the clip is still listed as 1080. But I still have to resize it with success, as the means for it apparently do not allow borders to trim.

    If you mean for editing then unfortunately Apple is very, very backward these days in terms of codec support. You will probably need to look at Adobe first place.

    Its a bit of chicken and eggs at the moment, we do not know if the reason for Final Cut Pro X is neglected is because the Mac Pro has not been upgraded, or have Apple decided to abandon the Mac Pro, because they are more interested in market Pro at all.
