play standalone SWF files

Must be pretty basic, sorry, am new.
Here's the problem: I had a reading SWF - autonomous, not in a browser. Leave a menu in this SWF file, I want to be able to launch a SWF, if possible in the same player. But when I use "get URL" in my menubuttons he launches the browser to play the swf file. So, how can I get my button to open the version standalone swf?
Any help will be welcome, thanks in advance

The purpose of the getURL() function and cousin of the method.
MovieClip.getURL (), is to open a browser, so the behavior you see is
expected. Ditto for an HTML element on your local machine: if it
contains an anchor tag, opens the document in a browser, it is
just that you are usually already in a browser when you read an HTML document.

To load SWFs in the same Flash Player, if it is a stand-alone
Projector of the browser plug-in, use loadMovie(), loadMovieNum(),.
MovieClip.loadMovie (), or the MovieClip loader class. The ActionScript 2.0 code
Language reference gives you a lot of details on the differences between the
These four.

  • Use of action script 3.0 to play my SWF file only once?

    Good afternoon

    I would like to know how to play my SWF file only once, when I select CTRL + ENTER to test the file.  Currently it continues just looping.  I tried not stop(); but it freezes to the framework.  I tried also Stop at nothing doesn't.  In Dreamweaver, you can import the SWF file and program it to play only once.  I did it: http://www.vfw969.org.  However, I would like to create an index.fla file that does the same thing while I am able to add some improvements to the page.  Thank you.

    You were afraid to adapt or something?  Fortunately, I have a magnifying glass is close.

    In this upper layer named Actions, nothing in this last keyframe (picture 25).  This is where you will place the stop(); command.  The Actions window open, select the image and type stop(); in the Actions Panel.  If you do it right, there should be a lower case 'a' in this last image when finished and the animtion must stop here.

  • Flash ok but Player 9 installed 10.3 active for standalone swf files

    It is a rather interesting scenerio. I am running Vista 32 Bit (upgrade to Windows 7 soon) using IE9 and I try to view the .swf files that require Flash Player 10. No problem, I uninstalled all components of Flash Player using the Flash Player uninstall program. I rebooted, reinstalled Flash Player and confirmed all was working well. Modules are enabled, and all the controls reveal that I have installed 10.3. The problem that I am facing is when I try to run a separate .swf, the player file that appears says "Flash Player 9. The .swf file will not play as stand-alone, but it will play in my browser. How can I get Flash play 10 to be my default player? DRM for your help.

    As I posted earlier, the download is the standalone player, not an installation program.

    Everywhere where, that you downloaded, it will be there.

  • Can I have play a .swf file in a viewer window when clicking on link?

    Hello

    I have a thumbnail on my page that I would like to make a link to a video. However, I'm not on it to open it in a new tab or a window, instead, I would just like it to appear as a lightbox display, fading background and playing the video in the same page. The viewer must be able to close or click outside the video at any time to return to the original page.

    Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you!

    Put a file (Ctrl + D) .swf in a Lightbox widget Composition view should not be a problem with your thumbnail image in the trigger.

  • Y at - it a codec that will allow swf files to play in WMP?

    original title: reading of SWFs in Windows Media Player

    Y at - it a codec that will allow swf files to play in WMP?

    When you try to play your local .swf files in Windows Media Player, you probably will be greeted with a message saying that your Internet Explorer security settings do not allow this type of file to open (ActiveX control). This is due to the fact that Windows Media Player uses its own security Internet Explorer security settings. Therefore, these .swf files will play in Internet Explorer; the reason being that the Protected Mode is DISABLED when a local disk file is opened. But Windows Media Player makes no such concession, all ActiveX controls are not allowed.

    The problem arises in the Lockdown of the area feature Local computer. Windows Media Player must load the control of Flash Player to play the SWF file. But this lock prevents the automatic loading of the Flash Player control (remember, all orders are considered dangerous in WMP)!

    However, do not despair. This problem can be easily solved by a simple change in the registry. There are two ways you could do it - choose the one that you feel most comfortable with.

    Method 1 - automatic registry change (use if you have never used before registry editor):
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Open a new Notepad document. Copy and paste the following two lines of text to the blank document...

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Lockdown_Zones\0]
    "1200" = DWORD: 00000000

    Save the document as "wmp_swf.reg" (the .reg extension sets the file as a registration entry). Save it in a directory of your choice. This could be the office or in your Documents folder. Close the Notepad window.

    Now, navigate to the file to the location where you saved it just. Right-click on the file and choose "Merge" in the menu. Windows may ask permission to continue, click 'Continue' or 'OK '. That's all! Windows Media Player will now play all your local .swf files without complaining.

    Method 2 - manual registry editing (for the more experienced users of the registry editor):
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Open the Registry Editor (IE run "regedit.exe" and give Windows permission to continue).

    Browse your way to the next folder...

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Lockdown_Zones\0

    In this folder '0' (zero), look for the entry "1200 REG_DWORD 0 x 00000003 (3)" in the display pane.

    Right-click on the '1200' and choose 'change... '. ». Change the value to highlight '3' to '0 '. Press OK. The entry is now shown as "1200 REG_DWORD 0x00000000 (0)» Close the registry editor.

    This simple procedure to now Windows Media Player read the local .swf files.

    Now you have finished this fix, it may be useful to change the opening program by default for your .swf to Windows Media Player files. I find it more convenient than playing them through Internet Explorer.

  • SWF file is blurred...

    When I play a swf file created with captivate via a web browser, it's blurred; However, when I play the same swf via the standalone flash player, it seems.  In addition, when "type" appears the built-in player places a small vertical line between each letter that is "typical."

    Ideas on how to solve this problem are appreciated / this is bliss/deeply desired.

    I am using Captivate 5.5, and I tried to play the swf with version 10.0.1084.52m Chrome and IE version 9.0.8112.16421.  There was no change in quality will IE chrome (it was vague in both).  Flash Player 10 is my standalone player.

    I have been looking for an answer for this and have not found one yet, so I apologize if it's covered in a thread somewhere else.

    I enclose some images that illustrate the difference...

    Here is what the file looks like in the built-in player...

    flash player embedded.jpg

    Here is what the file looks like in the standalone player...

    flash player stand alone.jpg

    @ mile high tide: your reference to "support of HTML files" makes me wonder if perhaps you misunderstand it here.  When you select the HTML output option in the dialog box to publish Captivate, you do not get an HTML version of the classes SWF.  You get a file HTML (or JS) added to the output which is designed to launch the SWF file to a specific height and width corresponding to the height and width set in the project file.

    For the Captivate content to be stronger, it MUST be played exactly 100% the size of the project.  As soon as you start to scale the SWF by any amount, you start to lose some crispness of resolution.

    So if you want your content to be crispy, check this box for HTML and use the HTML code to throw out.

  • Please please help - I can't open swf files

    I downloaded Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Shockwave Player to play some swf files that I downloaded.  These files still say that Windows cannot open them well and I don't know why.  I tried to uninstall reinstall etc, but the computer doesn't seem to know that the Flash Player is.

    Thanks to all those who will help me solve this problem!

    Hello

    are you clicking on the swf or html file?

    If you want to run the SWF on its own then you will need the Flash Player standalone (you can get it here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html).

    If you want to run in the browser, and then drag the swf file (or use the file/open command) in a browser window.

  • SWF file does not open with Flash Player

    Hello

    (1) I have a swf file on my desktop. Where in my computer can I go to launch the Flash Player to play the swf file? When I double click on the SWF th, he launched Adobe Flash, rather than Flash Player.

    (2) in addition, I just uninstall Flash Player and reinstall the latest version, as the safari browser confirms that I got 14 Flash Player version installed. When I check my Adobe Flash file, there's always the old Flash Player. How can I get this update?

    (3) how can I get the Flash Player installed application recently in my applications folder?

    Thank you

    To book the projector the default application. SWF files, you will need to change the default program associated with this file type.

  • Flash player 10.3.181.14 broke my site, multiple loading of SWF files in a table

    I load several SWF files into an array, I have add and remove objects on the stage, it is a carousel.

    All locations of the items are set in xml format. If I only have one loaded in the table it works very well, if I have more so we have) play the swf file, or b) display the swf file.

    Sovereign wealth funds themselves contain code that trigger events in the main container. Causing other elements to play or load.

    Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hi howet,

    EDIT:

    I opened a bug of flash in their system of bug that I was able to reproduce the problem, I found: https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-7071

    There are workaround solutions I found there.

    ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

    I had a similar problem using a load component which I use for several years with no problems. As with you, the question arose when you load multiple SWFs (or even a swf, then a jpg file) on 10.3 and later. It works fine on 10.2 and below again.

    I found a solution that I'm looking for an appropriate response and it is to delay the subsequent charges using a setTimeout hacky.

    For example:

    protected function manageLoaded (p_event: Event): void {}

    setTimeout (loadNext, 1);

    following line breaks the loaded SWF stop.

    loadNext();

    }

    I hope this help you, let me know.

    See you soon,.

    Dan.

  • using asfunction to read swf file?

    Hello
    I have a link in a dynamic text box and when I click it, I want to play a swf file, in a clip. Is this possible? When I click on the text 'Show the file theSWF', it opens a new window with nothing on it. I want to play the SWF file in the same window in the "redbox_mc" movieclip, I placed on the floor above the dynamic text box.

    Thank you

    Its OK got it to work. should have used the following code for the function:
    dyn_txt.htmlText = "display the SWF file ;
    A little + makes all the difference!

  • SWFLoader does not play loading SWF

    Hello

    I am building an application that is basically a frame another SWF file appears. My application loads SWF files generated by a server and displays them. As consumption of memory increases over time, it required that I unload the current SWF file from time to time and replace it with a new SWF.
    I use SWFLoader for loading the remote SWF file. I create a new object for each new SWF SWFLoader and remove the old SWFLoader as soon as the new SWF can be displayed.
    Now my problem:
    SWFLoader sporadically to not start play the loaded SWF file. All SWF files that load I start with the same set of instructions. When all goes well, the SWFLoader gets some ProgressEvents and then an Event.INIT. After that the SWF file begins to play. In some cases, however, I only get the events of progression, but the INIT is never triggered. In this case the SWF file is not getting started. The number of bytes received by the progress event is the same as in the case when he goes right.
    I would be grateful any indication that can help me get along this problem.

    I found the problem: the server sends SWF file to display put an incorrect Content-Length header filed in response http - a value much too large. After changing the server to put a good Content-Length response, the SWFLoader plays the SWF file that is loaded immediately.

  • .swf files don't play no more...

    Why my .swf files not read the most?  I created in CS5 (Flash) and they used to play.  It has something to do with the updated Flash player (11.x.x.x?).  When I open my .swf file it seems open by default Flash Player 9...

    64 bit, Windows 7

    OK, so I think that you will have the standalone projector if you want to be able to open the swf file by double clicking.  Just install Flash Player allows you to get the plugin/active x control, but they will not be useful unless you look at sovereign wealth funds in a web browser.

    Download the Windows Flash 11.2 Player projector
