  The first thing you need to do is to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 250W.  It is not enough to run a new intermediate level video cards.  They require a minimum of 400W.  It would be a good idea to buy at least one with 500W.  This will give you more choice of cards.  I love the Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I always suggest measuring the current PSU and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

  You should stay at 9 "or less for the duration of the video card.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.  You would need a larger case to go further.  I like XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  The two cards in the links can be inserted into the computer and they will be good for the games.  Be sure to read the 'Détails' and 'Clients' to learn more about each of them.  I'm looking for products that have more than 100 customers and are at least 4 eggs.  Normally, this will be a very good product.

  Go Device Manager... Sound, video and game controllers, and see if you have triangles yellow error next to your audio devices...

  My guess would be that you need to update the drivers for your audio devices.

  You should be able to find the drivers + Support Web site for your computer model...

  If not, find the number\model Audio chip and watch there chip manufacturers website for updates...

  I don't know if the audio problem is a single chip, or is part of your graphics device...

  If you don't find anything wrong in the audio, you can check that.

  As I still have the very annoying "scrolling" problem as I did with previous versions of OSD, I tried fixing it by changing the JDK, such as it is described here:

  error 39. window pops up saying "windows cannot load the device driver. The driver may be corrupted or missing.

  Go to the web site of the manufacturer of the mouse and locate the software, firmware or driver for your specific mouse and your Vista version and download everything on your system.  Isensure that you have the correct downloads.  If they have installation instructions available, download them too.

  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should do the mouse at least and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/.   If the stilll driver does not install (and you don't know it is compatible with Vista -http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/default.aspx), then delete all the system mouse drivers, connect the mouse, go to start / Control Panel / Add Hardware and select the option to search for new hardware devices and then to follow the guests and instructions.  If it doesn't detect any new hardware, select the option to choose your material, find the closest match and install it manually as shown.  This will include installing the driver which will hopefully work in this way.

  It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

  I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
