polymorphic in any cluster

So, Unflatten in XML format can take any cluster and return data in the same shape. How recreate you that behavior, I don't think there's a polymorhic vi with all possible cluster configurations.

/Y

You cannot create a true Adaptive VI yourself. It's something only build in LabVIEW nodes can have, as there is the code C determine the type of data attached to the Terminal and operating on it in a very recursive algorithm. Currently there is no MECHANISM in LabVIEW that lets write the same functionality in a VI. The best that you have are either live polymorphic which require an implementation of VI by the supported data type, or variants that are typed elements.

Another idea to look to deal with variations is the Variant data library (and the Ini Variant data library as a use case) of OpenG. No password protected don't live here aside from a few that come with stock LabVIEW.

  • Essbase Cluster - how to restore any cluster

    Hello

I have the following plan to make (let me know if there is an error in this scenario)

Essbase itself should be active / passive clustering on the windows cluster.

    Installation:

Node 1: Foundation Services, reporting and analysis, Essbase Admin Services, Essbase provider Services, Essbase Integration Services, Essbase Studio Server, Essbase

    Node 2: even

The Foundation Services, Reporting and analysis, Essbase Admin Services, Essbase service provider could me clustered using Weblogic Admin Server

    So I have

    Node 1: Instance epmsystem1

    Node 2: Instance epmsystem2

OSH has been configured on the two afters of nodes that vertical scale was over for the Java Web Applications.

Essbase Integration Services and Essbase Studio Server are configured on each case separately.

So I started to configure the Essbase Server on node 1 (Instance epmsystem1)

After I have configures Essbase Server on node 2. With the error that I use epmsystem2 as instance name.

After the necessary manual changes of opmn.xml and essbase.cfg I could manually start und stop essbase on both nodes.

but because the deployment were the name of the different bodies and different windows service names I could not create a unique service name to go with the windows Failover Manager.

When I start to try on node 2 configure a Cluster on the epmsystem1 (@node2) of the cluster instance Configuration of EMP tool seems to be "full" with 2 existing knots.

    (a) could 1 remove node2 (epmsystem2) of the Essbase Cluster configuration? How?

    (b) is it possible after remove it to configure epmsystem1@node2 for essbase clustering while epmsystem2@node2 (including foundation) are still here?

    Thanks for advice

    Kind regards

    Kai

You can try to uninstall Essbase and it should remove the registry entries, if on 11.1.2.3 there is the option to delete the instance of full EMP without uninstalling.

  • obtain the cluster when it is changed

    Hi all

On the other side, I would get the refnum or the name

I know that old and new val will be Variant (on my function) so that I can accommodate for any cluster. I opened G installed on my machine and looked at the data palette open G LV as well as a secondary Vcluster and have not been able to do.

  • Iterate through the attributes unknown cluster

    Hello

I try to write a VI that revieces a unknown cluster (it should work with any cluster) and travels its attributes.

for each attribute, I run different commands depending on the type.

I tried to work with variants, but I couldn't get the actual values of the cluster (only the type and name) attributes.

What would you recommend using a VI like that?

    Thank you!

As there is not any cluster functionality provided in license Essentials, it won't help if you create the ESXi host cluster.

The documentations are correct. Even though you may be able to create a cluster with more than two nodes, the supported limit is 2 knots.

  • Looking to simplify Subvi to make it reusable... Is this possible?

I'm looking for the opportunity to make a more generic VI so that I can re-use it for multiple applications. The VI is used to write the parameters of an instrument in a configuration file (.ini). The Subvi is vipm under the library of the OpenG Variant Configuration file. Saw him take in a clustors clustor and changing their settings in a configuration file. I am wanting to make more generic for re-use so that I can use any clustor of instruments of clustors for the parameters (each insturment will be different) between projects.

Is it possible to pass a clustor refnum and in the Subvi re - create the clustor to move to this VI?  Or should I shut up and create a new VI for each project instead of trying to do something that is reusable between projects insturment?

If you think about it, very easy. Writing INI Cluster itself is of course capable of taking any cluster as input. This is why the entry is not actually a cluster, but a Variant. (Note the red dot)

Change "Ini settings" control variant instead of cluster and your vi will be more reusable.

  • Cut wire

    Hello people,

I am facing an unexpected error in son.

I am trying connect modules of cluster (3 items) with waveform graph, but my stay of broken wire. I am trying to connect this table in the cluster to point to the Subvi, which leads me to the following error message

This VI does not match other screws in the method; Connector component models are different

For reference, I have attached my Subvi here with.

I do not see "any cluster table" any where on the VI you have set, so please be more specific. Probably, you should also include the VI call with the cut wire.

Source of data? The terminal of two graphs are on the left side of the connector pane, it should probably be controls (= entries to the Subvi). One of them is an indicator. Make a right click... change control to correct this.

Clusters should be very specific, consisting of two scalars and a table 1 d (x 0, dx, [data], in exactly that order of cluster). Any other table clusters won't work, of course.

  • Implementation of different 'modes' in a VI

    Hi all

I have a big project which currently has 3 trees of different sources:

    1. one that is used for the automatic simulation that takes jobs and validates the results automatically from a database. Just viewing on the front panel is an indicator of progress for the current simulation and the overall state of the simulation

    2. one who is used to simulate and validate the results in a log file. This is suitable for individual use and has nice graphics and other.

    3. Finally, one that acts as an interface with the hardware. At one point, and the Simulator individual (number two) were the same, but I shared to leanness in the code.

My goal now is to merge all three of these features into one. They all have different facades and a little different state diagrams, but the base controller is the same throughout. My current setup looks like this:

    1.
    2.
    3.

They are very similar, but they have their differences (different elements cluster in the clusters of two major illustrated, for one). I would just merge to be able to work on it all at the same time, rather than check the version the most recent one of my SVN, change it, hiring back and do the same thing in another version.

I think I have a configuration file that defines a selector of cases, their initialization some globals function that allows me to mount a Variant like any cluster is appropriate for this mode. change the two main groups of variants of course.

What do you think? Is it a futile exercise? Or y at - he deserves something to these mergers that overcomes the inherent difficulty?

I object!  Is this "Class", or what?  If you create an abstract class that your different specific data can "fit in", you can develop algorithms that operate on the class and have each of your specific data inherits from the abstract class.  [I hope I said that right...].

  • ATM E3 modules & IPSEC site-to-site on 2811-sec/k9?

    Hi people,

I plan for a pair of IOS Firewall of 2811 on data only links 34mbits/s and may also need to protect the IPSec connection.

Is it achievable using this platform?

If so, I am concerned about the performance... perhaps ASA5500 would be better?

    Scenario: LAN_a - 2811-a - E3_line - 2811b - LANB.

As always, any suggestions gratefully received!

    Kind regards

    Andy.

You can run VPN site to site in two 2811 and ASA 5500 but the Cisco ASA 5500 Series is richer in features of Cisco for SSL and IPsec for remote access, robust site to site connectivity support. The series offers greater scalability and a greater flow capacity than the widely deployed Cisco VPN 3000 series concentrators and can be easily integrated into any cluster load balancing Cisco VPN 3000 Series.

  • Grant privileges on the index

    Hello

I'm looking to try to manage the security of some object on the Oracle DB 12 c, and I came to the objects of the index.

After watching the magical view: V$ OBJECT_PRIVILEGE, I came across the EXECUTE privilege on the index:

    Select * from v$ object_privilege where object_type_name = 'INDEX ';

However, after the creation of some index of test, I could not be able to set this privilege on roles and actors, get this error all the time:

SQL error: ORA-04042: procedure, function, package, or package body does not exist

04042 00000 - "procedure, function, package, or package body there is no.

    * Cause: Trying to access a procedure, function, package, or package body

    It does not exist.

    * Action: Make sure that the name is correct.

I'm sure that the name is correct in the index. So, this privilege makes no sense? What is his purpose on this point of view?

    Kind regards

    David

    documentation: https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/DBSEG/authorization.htm#DBSEG99910

On the privileges of the object

A privilege object grants permission to perform a specific action on a specific schema object.

There are privileges different object for different types of schema objects. The privilege to delete rows in the departments table is an example of a privilege of the object.

Some schema objects, such as clusters, indexes, triggers and database links, do not associate the object privileges. Their use is controlled with access privileges. For example, to change a cluster, a user must own the cluster or have the ALTER ANY CLUSTER system privilege.

    On the view v$ object_privilege.

    Select * from v$ object_privilege

    where object_type_name = 'INDEX ';

    OBJECT_TYPE_NAME OBJECT_TYPE_ID PRIVILEGE_ID PRIVILEGE_NAME

    32 12 INDEX RUN

The interesting thing here is the ID of the object type.

The object type 1 is an index.

Object type 32 is put in correspondence with an INDEX_TYPE. This privilege is the privilege to execute for a type of index.

    Select object_type_name

    the system. REPCAT$ _OBJECT_TYPES

    where object_type_id = 32;

  • Deliver the new addition VCenter

I have a new VCenter to add to vRealize 6.2.1. I add the endpoint with success, I create a new group of fabric, but I do not see any cluster managed by the Vcenter.

The service account has full administrator on the Vcenter rights, I tried another account (also with rights)

I waited several days in the case of an out of stock

Another something thing to note is that I have old heap still present in the vRealize that have been deleted a long time ago in existing VCenters, I have still two clusters reported for one who has been renamed, the one with the old name and one with the new name.

Inventory of the Temapltes seems to work very well on existing Vcenters.

    Any ideas?

Just to understand where you are at. You have 1 end point of vCenter already created using the proxy agent that you originally installed. Is the name on the vCenter agent proxy? Then, you need to add an another vCenter. It's one of so that you do not see the inventory. So, you have installed another proxy agent and called it... vCenter2? When initial installed did you do a distributed installation or the installation of the components of the IAAS?

vRA will not get rid of the clusters, he saw even if they are deleted or renamed. Take a look at this KB deletion of an endpoint in vRealize Automation fails with the error: this endpoint is used by the compute resources # and # storage paths and cannot delete a procedure to remove inactive hosts of vRA.

  • Great metric not visible

I created a supermetric and added to a cluster at the bottom of the great metric page object in vrops 6.0, but it is not displayed on any cluster when I discovered the.  Is there another step I need to do?

    Thank you!

Yes, it works as expected, you will need to navigate to the policy page and enable the supermetric for Cluster objects (in this case, the supermetric apply to all Clusters) or enable all objects (in this case, the supermetric will be applied to all objects)
