-Pop-up Blocker exceptions list is not save

When I close firefox and open it again its list is empty.

I have marked as Don't warn me when a site tries to redirect and I have turned off modules, but always when I reopen the firefox list is empty.

I tried manually add to the list, and then the menu drop down allow this site this option which is at the top of the page which is still blocked.

I can find other problems, but they do not lose the list when firefox stops.

Any ideas?

Thank you

This file has not updated since Jan. 19. So I did everything anyway and nothing has changed, and the file size has remained constant.

What will happen if I delete it?

Firefox you have to build the database from scratch. In other words, it lose track of all previous site specific exceptions and use only the default settings (for example, addons.mozilla.org can install add-ons).

If in doubt, you can simply rename it (e.g., permissions.old) or drag it to another folder for restoration potential later.

  • How can I add a Web site to the popup blocker exceptions list by using a command prompt?

    I have a lot of users with Firefox 2. I need a specific web site to allow for pop-up windows if their Blocker is enabled. I need to be able to run this command in a script that runs from a command prompt when the user connects.

    I don't think that you can do.

    However Firefox 2.0 version use a hostperm.1 of text file to store the exceptions.

  • ADMITTED that Cookies exceptions list does not keep the entries from one session to another.

    YES, I searched the KB for a response... no joy. I want to manage my cookies by adding a few sites I want to allow cookies for, with all the other sites being rejected and me be prompted whenever a site wants to dnld a cookie. I think I understand all of the available settings, but I can't bet FF to keep the list of allowed websites from one session to another, and sometimes FF keeps their same immediately after I save them. I've never had a problem with FF3, but now I'm having this problem with FF4.

    You can't keep cookies if you run Firefox in private browsing mode.

    Private - browsing using Firefox without saving history all cookies are session cookies that expire if this session is over, so sites don't remember you.

  • Close Excel workbook ActiveX will not save

    I use ActiveX with Excel and try to save and close a workbook, but not to close the application.

    My question is twofold:

    First of all, I can't get a workbook to close when save is wired to her and defined as True. But once save set to False, the workbook closes very well (except it does not save of course). I thought that this could be linked to the following sentence of MSDN

    If there are these changes and the workbook appears in the other windows open, this argument is ignored.

    To check that this is not the case, I completely closed on Excel and tried again. Always the same question.

    So, my next step is to try a workaround as the use of the saveas method, then I can close the workbook without saving changes after (this constant i.e. false wired upward).

    Since the MSDN site: xlLocalSessionChanges = 2 the local user's changes are always accepted.

    But, when I "2 wire" to the variation of resolution of conflict for the saveas method, I always a dialog box asking the user if it is ok to replace the file to appear.

    Anyone encountered this before? I stuck links to MSDN, below.

  • Exceptions of cookie does not save

    I use Firefox 24 on Windows 8.1 stable version (RTM).

    I want to erase all cookies at the exit of Firefox, with the exception of these sites specified in the exceptions list. When I add Web sites to the list exceptions, they are registered until I have restart firefox, how the exceptions list becomes empty.

    I tried to play with the subject: permissions page, but the list of Web sites on the left is also empty despite me after visiting many websites of the active browsing session.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Cookies
    • do not delete Site preferences

    Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

    Deletion of cookies will delete all specified (selected) cookies, including cookies with an exception to allow that you want to keep.

    Allow all cookies expire when you close Firefox.

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: keep until: I close Firefox

    Create an exception to "allow" cookie for the cookies you want to keep.

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: Exceptions
  • POP + javascript: does not save session

    Hello
    I have a selection list and a popup. I try to assign the value to the POP element using javascript, but it does not work.
    Here's the link: [link: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11910:1:1730577978881661:].
    Select any value in LOV ID. observe "set mnually" appears in pop.
    Click on 'submit '. ' Not Null ' validation will fail...
    Here is debug and javasript:

    Session state: save the p_arg_values and form elements
    0.04:... Session state: saved point new value 'P1_LOV_ID' = '2 '.
    0.04:... Session state: saved point new value "P1_AJAX" = "21".
    0.04:... Session state: Save "P1_TEMP" - registration of same value: '2 '.
    0.04:... Session state: Save "P1_LOV_SUBMIT" - registration of same value: "% null."
    * 0.04:... Session state: Save "P1_POP" - registration of same value: "undefined."
    0.04: point of treatment: ON_SUBMIT_BEFORE_COMPUTATION

    < jump >
    JavaScript:
    function set_Value_LOV (pThis, pSelect) {}
    var l_Return = null;
    var l_Select = $x (pSelect);
    var l_Value = "manually configure";

    l_Select.value = l_Value;
    }

    The LOV defined in POP is static and has a single line.

    the interesting caveat:
    in IE 7, the validation fails. in FF3, domain 'indefinite' a chain and apparently is not ' fire up the validation. At the same time, it should be "manually set"...

    Maybe I should use another property of the object DOM of POP to actually set the value?

    Help, please

    Andrew:

    There is nothing special about the item "_hidden" you are referring to. It is a hidden point normal HTML. In the APEX "implementation of control 'popup lov', APEX stores the currently selected value of the LOV in this hidden item. You can watch the pop up Apex LOV as a combination of a context menu that displays the values in the LOV and a hidden item store the value selected by the user. The user selects a value from the LOV and the selected value is stored in a hidden HTML field in the parent window. This field is ideally named 'POPUP_LOV_NAME_HIDDEN' :)

    Hello

    Clear history of Firefox closing is selected in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Privacy, then Preferences of sites within parameters should not be selected. If the problem persists, please also check if this happens in Safe Mode. Safe mode disables the installed Extensionsand themes (appearance) in (Alt + T) Tools > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > general > use hardware acceleration when available. All these settings/options/additional custom modules can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed to normal mode of Firefox to check if an extension, theme, option or a hardware acceleration is causing issues. Deactivation/activation of hardware acceleration and some types of modules in normal mode may require a restart of Firefox.

    You should see an icon of the pop up block on the side of the right end of the address bar when an embedded menu is blocked.

    You can click on this icon to get a pop-up which allows to restore the information bar.

  • Is it possible to define an exceptions list of cookies that will not be deleted and disable any cookie?

    I installed firefox to clear all cookies when firefox is closed, and this is how I want to keep it. However, there are a handful of sites where I don't want the cookie to be deleted. I also want cookies from these sites to update when I visit websites, so I can not simply copy them to another folder.
    Is it possible for me to implement a list of exceptions to the rule "delete all cookies in closing?
    Thank you
    Chris

    In Options-> Privacy .

    1. In the section accept cookies , set keep until: I close Firefox. This will make all cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
    2. Add domains you want to keep to the Exceptions list, choose "allow". (example: "mozilla.com")
    • If you use the feature delete history Firefox closing , make sure "Cookies" is not checked in the settings..., as this setting overrides your Exceptions list and delete all cookies when leaving.
  • 'Clear recent history... ". "erases cookies and! Cookies exceptions list even if the box of cookies is not checked

    By clicking on "clear recent history...» "erase all cookies and worse still the cookies exceptions list even if the box of cookies is not checked.

    Restart Firefox and restart of the operating system, the problem persists.

    The exceptions are part of the "Site preferences".
    Make sure that you do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to erase "Cookies" and the "Site preferences".
    You must allow exceptionally for the cookies you want to keep.

    Stopping the churn.  If they are unscrupulous - that simply confirms your e-mail address is * well * and it will be resold to new lists.

    Specifically, add them to your list of mail JUNK when you can, if you doubt, you will always receive an email, just to be sure, their entire domain.

    The only other suggestion is to get an other email address for your personal & business needs and start using it.  Make sure that you register for what whatever randomly with this specific e-mail address (control which give you out.)  A * lot * of junk mail occurs usually because someone came to something random at some point and then the address obtained on a 'list' that was happening around / sold.

    I'm currently developing new features in an existing application, (original application developed using HTMLdb 1.6 and phased to Apex update 4.0.1), to add a dynamic action that sets a value in another field, using SQL. I assured that the models for each page/region are one exact copy of the other.

    It seems that the drop-down list box may be getting filled with code that runs when the form is opened. If so, it will overwrite the value selected, whenever it opens. The solution would be to change the code so that it is not than that. If not, you can post the form somewhere so we can take a look?

  • exceptions list sites authorized to load the images, (permisions.sqlite?) is cleaned out of Firefox, or when I clear recent history. How to prevent this?

    My exception list for sites that are allowed to load images, (permissions.sqlite in the profile folder, I think) is allowed in release of Firefox, or when I clear recent history. These images remain blocked during the session. I never provide exceptions for cookies or pop-ups. I deleted the site preferences box and the other 2 boxes in the data area of the settings menu history, but the list is always cleared out. I've never had this problem until about a week ago and heading FF since 0.8 version.
    It's 12 FF, under Win XP.

    If you use a software like CCleaner cleaning then check the settings in the Firefox application.

    It is also possible that the permissions.sqlite is corrupted, then you can try to delete this file and let Firefox to create a new copy to see if that helps.

    • Do not use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' to clear the 'browsing history '.
    • Do not use "Clear recent history" to delete 'Cookies' and 'Site preferences.

    Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.
