POP Up LOV using pl/sql

I try to call a function that returns a query based under certain conditions.

The blog below is an example and I can't it works for a list LOV select.  But when I use a Popup LOV, I get the following error.

""wwv_flow_plugin.ajax_callback: ORA-20001: query must begin with SELECT or WITH".

Blog link below.

Manage your LOVs in PL/SQL. APEXPLAINED

I need to get the LOV SQL under certain conditions.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Brian

I was able to get this to work.  I think it was conflicting settings elsewhere.

Thanks for your suggestions.

  • How to use PL/SQL to create dynamic action to set the value of a selection by another list?

    Hello

    I would like to know how to use PL/SQL to create dynamic action to set the value of a list of selection by another selection list.

    1.PNG

    I wish can create dynamic action to manage the two above the Room select list (: P9_ROOM) and building (: P8_BUILDING).

    When you select "1074" in the bathroom, building highlights like "BRM BLD 5"

    When you select 'Area of the black box' in the room, building must assign the value "7 BLD BRM"

    When the room is Null, building should also be Null.

    I thank you,

    Alice

    I forgot to mention, for the PL/SQL Code, because you are working with items in the selection list, the return values are different from the display on your LOV values, you must instead use the return values.

    Thank you

    Erick

  • Return value of a POP UP LOV area of reports

    Apex 4

    Hello, I have a POPUP_FROM_LOV function within a region of reports I have a LOV that displays a name and then returns its Id number, my problem is that when I choose for the POP UP LOV I see all the names when I choose a name, it will display the identification number. I want the ID to be hidden and continues to display the name in the field. How can I do?

    Thank you
    Joe

    I want the ID to be hidden and continues to display the name in the field. How can I do?

    Use the apex_item.popupkey_from_lov method.

  • Need help, unable to connect to the ODBC database using the SQL Toolbox!

    Hi all

    I'm playing around with the evaluation of SQL Toolkit (2.2 + patch) and I'm having trouble.

    I ran the example 'connect' program and it seems to work fine.

    However, I try to write my own program, and I get the same message:

    "Service connection BD: (return value ==-10 [0xFFFFFFF6])."

    Native error - 2147467259 code 0x80004005

    The message is different from time to time, but the return value is constant.

    I use Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and MySQL.

    For MySQL, I installed the last Connector ODBC, 5.3.4. Inside the Control Panel / Data Sources (ODBC), I have a DSN called test_mysql in DSN user and system DSN.

    I ran a test on the connection and the test passes. I don't know if I have to use the ansi or unicode driver, I tried both with the same success.

    I do not know I had properly configured the SQL Server connection and who will try again.

    My Code CVI is quite simple:

    hdbc = connection BD ("DSN = test_mysql");

    Whenever I get a - 10 BD. Either I have something configured wrong or am I missing something.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Update 2:

    After getting off the phone with Technical Support, the problem has been identified!

    LabWindows SQL Toolkit requires 32 bits DNS. My PC is a 64-bit, so my default DNS Manager in 64-bit.

    I needed to use the DNS Manager 32-bit when you work with the box tool.

    Once I created my DNS connections using the 32-bit version of the Datga ODBC Source manager, everything worked fine.

    See this technical note:

  • need to create a lov using FDF

    Hi I need to show a de facto as a lov forces in a custom oaf page...

    Can someone help me with the steps for creating a lov using the FDF.

    I hope that there is a need to create a VO. Then how the query must be in generic form will help me much.

    Concerning

    RAM

    I'm still not very clear.

    You want to display the fields of DFF at a LOV? DFF values are stored in the attribute columns (attribut1 to Attribute15), so add that to your VO LOV query.

  • How to set default cell format 'text' instead of 'general' sheet in excel using pl/sql code?

    Can someone please help me on how to generate excel file using pl/sql? I have generated csv files successfully, but now I need to generate a excel. I changed the code generation of the csv file, but the file gives me error when opening:

    "The file you are trying to open,"XXXX.xls", is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Do you want to open it now? »

    If I choose Yes then open the excel file, but it excludes the leading 0 in the front for one my column. How do I configure excel type default column as text rather than General, when you create the files? I also tried to generate excel file using xml. But I do not know how to set the type of column there, too. I'm using Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 and APEX 4.2.6.00.03. I'll call all these codes apex.

    Convert .xls in .csv file using pl/sql

    I know that it s a long time but just wanted to know if there is a way to convert excel .csv.

    I have a directory say 'F:\purple_top\ '. I'll get the .xls file in this directory. I need to change to .csv and tables load external oracle. Any ideas or advance coding on it since 2009 so far?

    A few other options might be:

    • Java code, which can be used from within Oracle, which makes use of utility libraries (e.g. Aspose.Cells) open source (for example Apache POI) or "save under" CSV, or read the source cells and their output to a CSV file.
    • COM Automation, using available open source (for example, JACOB or j-interop) or commercial libraries, which can automate Excel to open a XLS file and "Save as" a CSV file. In addition, Oracle has a feature of COM Automation (available since version 8 but abandoned after Oracle 11g). I have successfully used this read (non-macro-enabled) Excel files in PL/SQL.
    • Other approaches using Perl or PHP can be found by googling 'convert xls to csv.

  • How to change the password of a schema by using Oracle SQL Developer

    Hi need to change the password of a schema by using Oracle SQL Developer, how can I do?

    or maybe http://www.thatjeffsmith.com/archive/2012/11/resetting-your-oracle-user-password-with-sql-developer/

  • Parse the JSON using PL/SQL string

    I created a script that reads data from the Mobile App DB (which is based on MongoDB) of Oracle SQL Developer. The result is the string JSON stored in l_response_text VARCHAR2 (32767);

    The string has the format such as:

    [{"Postcode":"47100","OutletCode":"128039251","MobileNumber":"0123071303","_createdAt":"2014-11-10 06:12:49.837","_updatedAt":"2014-11-10 06:12:49.837"}, {"Postcode":"32100","OutletCode":"118034251", ..... ]

    However, I need to analyze this l_response_text such that each table will in his column in a table called appery_test. appery_test table has the same number of columns pairs JSON and in the same order (e.g. name of the first column is 'postal Code')

    I searched and I found most of the results on the analysis of the Oracle in JSON table and not the other way around. I found, however, that link which is somewhat similar to my problem. However, the library suggested in the answer doesn't have an example on how to use it to insert JSON into conventional table using PL/SQL.

    N.B.: I use g 11 and not 12 c. If the functions built by are not available for me.

    Thank you very much

    Sorry, I am a novice in this area too.

    However, it worked for me:

    declare

    l_list json_list;

    l_data CLOB;

    Code postal clob;

    l_val json_value;

    Start

    -json data recovery

    Select the data in l_data from jsons where id = 1;

    l_list: = json_list (l_data);

    I'm looping 1.l_list.count

    l_val: = json_ext.get_json_value (json (l_list.get (i)), 'Postcode');

    DBMS_LOB.CREATETEMPORARY (zip, true, 2);

    json_value.get_string (l_val, postal code);

    -Put some things

    dbms_output.put_line (DBMS_LOB. GetLength (Postcode));

    dbms_output.put_line (dbms_lob.substr (postal code, 20, 1));

    DBMS_LOB.freeTemporary (Postcode);

    end loop;

    end;

    47328

    9J / / 4AAQSkZJRgABAQAA

    Added dbms_lob.freetemporary (postcode);

  • How to select only the part by using the sql query

    Hello

    I have the task to retrieve only the integral of the input text by using the sql query.

    The entry is as follows

    Entry for the price setting

    $12.5 (FYI without space)

    $ 12.5 (FYI single space)

    $ 12.5 (double space FYI)

    $12.5 (FYI multiple space)

    $12.5 (FYI multiple space)

    Output expected of 12.5

    The price is the type varchar2 column in the store_price table.

    Please let me know how to achieve this.

    Thanks in advance.

    If this is always the case that you get a $ followed by a number of places, you can use something like:

    Select to_number (ltrim ('$ 12.5',' $')) DOUBLE

    or

    SELECT ltrim ('$ 12.5',' $') OF double

    but take care of your nls_numeric_character settings if they are defined so that, for example, a comma is the decimal separator, you will have a problem.

    Is it possible that muse adobe to have a Back-End that connects to a database using MySQL, SQL, Access etc...

    Nothing to do with the Muse at all. You have things backwards. If you use a dynamic interface, you work in the API hooks and predefined functions and that he don't just slap on an arbitrary HTML façade. It is simply not how it works.

  • How to write the SQL without using dynamic SQL?

    How can you write this under SQL without using execute immediately?

    You can use static SQL (using something like a CASE statement)?

    test procedure (one in varchar2, b number, each number) is

    v_num_recs pls_integer;

    Start

    Select count (*)

    in v_num

    FROM table1

    where

    col1 = one and

    If b is not null then col2 = b

    If c is not null then col3 = c;

    / * i.e. If b is not null, where condition to add this line only. If c is not null, where condition should add only this line. OR condition No. it * /.

    dbms_output.put_line (v_num);

    end;

    Or should I use dynamic SQL statements for this?

    I was wondering if the two are NOT NULL? Well check this.

    Select count (*) in v_num

    table

    where col1 = one

    and col2 = (CASE WHEN (b is not null) THEN b ELSE END col2)

    and col3 = (CASE WHEN (c is not null) THEN ELSE END col3 c)

  • In general, is it better to use java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp instead of oracle.jbo.domain.Date?

    Hello world

    During playback of Oracle ADF Real World Developer's Guide, I noticed the dates match occurring in JDeveloper is different from what is the list in the book. JDeveloper is failing to oracle.jbo.domain.Date, but according to the book:

    DATEjava.sql.DateDATE type is mapped to java.sql.Date if the column in the table is a no time didn't need information zone.
    DATEjava.sql.TimestampDATE type is mapped to java.sql.Timestamp if the column in the table has a component "time" and that the client needs to zone information.
    TIMESTAMPjava.sql.TimestampThe TIMESTAMP type is mapped to java.sql.Timestamp if nanosecond precision is used in the database.

    In general, is it better to use java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp instead of oracle.jbo.domain.Date? Using java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp could save me some headaches conversion date. And, is there a place in JDeveloper to display these maps? I looked around and didn't see anything.

    Thank you.

    James

    User, what version of jdev we are talking about?

    In GR 11, 1 material versions db types date and timestamp are mapped to types of domain data that represents a wrapper for the native data types. The reason was that the framework can work with the domain types regardless of the underlying data type.

    Since Oracle 11 GR 2 maps the types DB to java types (default selection, you can change it when you create a model project, you can set the Data Type Mapping). Once the pilot has business components define you cannot change this setting it would break existing components such as eo or vo.

    So if you are working wit 11 GR 1 subject, you must use the domain types, if you work with GR 11, 2 or 12 c, you can use the domain types, but it is recommended to use the java type mapping.
