trying to send a large audio file

How to send a large audio file by e-mail. Message says error cannot send it's big.

What is the size of the file and who is your mail server. They all have limits, and if you talk about 10 MB +, not many people would want to receive even if you could send it. You can used a third-party Web site to do this. These are only two of many.

  • How to configure FolderLink to send a large attachment?

    I am trying to send a large attachment with Thunderbird using FolderLink.
    First of all, I have to set up an account to FolderLink.
    The first step in the instructions for the configuration of FolderLink says:

    "At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and Options

    Click on the Fx Menu new menu button and choose the Options"

    With Firefox open, I click Firefox logo at the top left, but this apparently is not the Firefox button, because there is no option to Options. Where is the Firefox button?
    The Menu button then? If not, where is the Menu button?

    Nope, that works properly. I was obviously wrong the last time.

    Direct links can be good for images, but if your sending someone a video or a large CAD file it would be the height in frustrating if the file has tried to open a direct link application.

  • Difficulty playing the big audio files/streams.

    Hi all

    I have an app that plays media (audio/x-wav).  The application is configured to listen to and read the audio data from a web service.  After that audio plays for the first time, the sound will be saved on the device.  Whenever the audio selected is played later, he can read the stored file.

    Everything works fine, except when it comes to playing audio files.  When the Player tries to read the audio data from a big-InputStream, the application will take a few minutes to retrieve the stream and then the player will hit a State of 'ERROR', due to:

    "Media cannot start while another media is active"

    .  At this point, I did not open another medium, however.  Then when I try to play the audio again (this time this time locally from a stored FAT deposited (~ 5 MB), the application appears to hang - but it not to plant, it becomes just does more for about ten minutes.)  After ten minutes, the player will reach the State of "ERROR" an error of:

    "Unload failed: Timed out waiting for UD|LD"

    Has anyone else had similar symptoms when you try to play larger audio files?  What could be going on here?  Here is my code:

    Reading an input stream:

    try {
        Player player = Manager.createPlayer(responseData,"audio/x-wav");
        player.addPlayerListener(new PlayerManager());
        player.realize();
        player.prefetch();
        player.start();
    } catch (IOException e) {
        System.out.println("ERROR: " + e.getClass() + ":  "+ e.getMessage());
    } catch (MediaException e) {
        System.out.println("ERROR: " + e.getClass() + ":  "+ e.getMessage());
    }

    Reading a file:

    try {
        Player player = Manager.createPlayer("file:///SDCard/Blackberry/music/" + file);
        player.addPlayerListener(playerListener);
        player.realize();
        player.prefetch();
        player.start();
    } catch (IOException e) {
        System.out.println("ERROR: " + e.getClass() + ":  "+ e.getMessage());
    } catch (MediaException e) {
        System.out.println("ERROR: " + e.getClass() + ":  "+ e.getMessage());
    }

    PlayerListener:

    public class PlayerManager implements PlayerListener {

        public void playerUpdate(Player player, String event, Object eventData) {
            System.out.println("PLAYER EVENT: " + event);

            if (event == PlayerListener.ERROR) {
                Notify.alert(Constants.PLAYER_ERROR);
            } else if (event == PlayerListener.END_OF_MEDIA) {
                try {
                    player.stop();
                    player.close();
                    player = null;
                } catch (MediaException e) {
                    System.out.println("ERROR: " + e.getClass() + ":  "
                            + e.getMessage());
                }
            }

        }
    }

  • Cannot delete an e-mail in my outgoing folder guard trying to send but says file is too large.

    My daughter has tried to send some pictures using my outlook express. After that 3-4 minutes I get an error that the size is too large. I can't remove it and evry time I login it tries to return with the same results. I use it to send invoices for my business, but he doesn't send them. I also am not getting my Inbox because he's trying to send first, and then stops working. Thanks for any help. Keith

    Ok. A little more work, but don't be discouraged.

    Create a new Outbox and sent items folder.

    Follow these steps for the box of sent, and sent items after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the Outbox.dbx and Sent Items.dbx file and remove them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

    The max on most email providers is 10 MB. The only way that you could share this file would find a download site that allows to host this file. You can do a search for hosting sites and find one that goes on your needs. Once you download the file to the single copy of the site the link and give the person who you want to initially by email.

    Hi thxfour,

    Got your problem about sending large files by e-mail.
    If I'm just guessing you use a such as MS Outlook or Outlook Express e-mail client!
    If Yes, then,.
    I inform you that the as soon as you click on the button to send your e-mail client. The content of this particular mail sending process begins. The process continues until the last byte of data is transferred. Now, email clients (almost all) are designed to send the contents of a mail only once and not resumeable parts. Now, each time while you send mail with the content inside, it must go in one piece. However, if there is some sort of interruption in the internet connection, the content is not completely transferred. The remains of mail in the Outbox and automatically transfer begins as soon as the internet connection resumes. When the mail is deleted from the Outbox send is stopped because the source is no longer available.

    This thing happens generally when sending large files on a slow speed or internet medium given that the execution time is more emails compared to normal.
    Run time means more chances to get an interruption in internet connectivity.

    * It is advisable to use an application to transfer files to transfer large files over the internet instead of emails. File transfer can transfer large files (in GB), and if there is no interruption in the internet connection, you can resume the download.

    Best regards

  • Send Audio files in Windows Mail

    I could not send an audio file to WAV (62.8 MB), MP3 format (5.7). Am I limited in Windows Mail? Is there a way to get around this?

    You are not limited in WinMail, but you are by your server. 62.8 MB is enormous not to mention sending it's code. That triggers the size by a third, and now it's a 83.7 MB file. A common limit is 25 MB, and many Internet service providers have a smaller limit.

    Download the file on a site like Photobucket or SkyDrive and just email a link to it.

  • image file will not stop trying to send...

    my friend is trying to send me her photos but obviously the file is too big and his computer is locked everything when trying to send the file.

    What can do to stop the send file?

    It depends on what e-mail program he uses. If it's Outlook Express or Windows Mail, for example, simply click to work off connection and then go into the Outbox and delete the message or it hanging out. Bruce Hagen

    It may be a cable, a system problem or failure of the HD.  You have saved the data?

    You can test the drive by running chkdsk /f as indicated below

    A CHKDSK F: /R

    CHKDSK WARNING: while running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found when chkdsk attempts to repair this sector all the data available in this area may be lost.

    Run CHKDSK/r/f of a high (run as administrator) command prompt.

    Do this for each hard drive on your system.

    When he tells you, he cannot do at the moment – and ask you if you do not want to do it at the next reset - answer Y (for Yes) and press ENTER.

    Then restart and let the test to run.

    It may take some time for him to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates errors.

    See "CHKDSK LogFile' below to verify the test results.

    B Elevated Command Prompt:

    Click on start and type "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)

    At the top of the search box, right-click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator"

    C CHKDSK LogFile:

    Click Start and type "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter

    Expand the topic the Windows logs, and then select the Application log file entry.

    Double-click the Source column heading.

    Scroll down the list until you find the entrance to Chkdsk (wininit for Win7) (winlogon for XP).

  • Hearing CC destroyed a large part of my audio files on the crash

    Hearing CC 2015.2.1 just crashed on me - no problem you would think - BUT it has destroyed a large part of my audio files (missing Clicks random and audio) on the crash.

    Bad things first: even if I saved in iterations - it is not repairable - because he destroyed the ORIGINAL audio files that refer to all saved iterations - so no luck.

    Good thing is that I have copies of backup of the shoot raw files. S ' got away with a little fright and a LOT of work to redo.

    I will not use hearing again. My work is too valuable. From scratch in another audio program, because I need reliability in a professional workflow.

    Sorry to hear that you have given up the hearing.  I can assure you that this isn't normal behavior and that the hearing is used professionally in thousands of companies - radio, audio for video post-production stations, even on the odd Hollywood feature.

    Of what you say, I doubt that you are interested in making this kind of post-mortem, but if you wanted we would be happy to try to work on what went wrong.  We would need to know the details of your computer, what version of hearing you used and a description of the work flow using... i. e whether in multitrack or wave form view, what effects/changes that you have made and exactly how you saved 'iterations '.

    Also, try never hearing again, this FAQ hearing crashed.  Now what?  gives some details on how to proceed.

    Finally, I'll just mention that the hearing has an automatic backup center - you can set it to backup all of your project at some specified time interval - and you can also tell him to back up to another hard drive or even to the cloud.  It certainly got me out of trouble once when a bolt of lightning nearby fried my drive hard mid session!

    If the problem is related to a corrupted catalog, try to open the organizer with a new empty catalog.

    Hold down the SHIFT key at the launch of the Organizer. You get a dialog box with the choice to start with a new catalog, or start with a different catalog and even to 'fix' the current catalog. If your organizer starts with an empty catalog, use the option 'fix' on your corrupt catalog.
