pop ups continue to add to update video player and they keep opening keep tabs. How can I stop it?
New tabs keep open asking me to update my video player
If the new tabs are relentless, you may need to restart Firefox Safe mode to get little peace. It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
- Help menu > restart with disabled modules
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works
After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).
Any difference?

I get updates on a regular basis. Of MSFT, Adobe and other companies. How to do that they are legitimate and not masquerade as
well-known company, you stick with a virus? The most recent is Jucheck.exe (a Java Update). I looked and it appears to be from a SunMicro. Is it a
safe to run. What I've read, is that it is important to place in program files, otherwise it may cause trouble.
So, how to make sure that these updates are really who they say they are?
Hi Dog_Father,
'jucheck.exe' is the process of checking Java Update. It is safe to run on the computer. For more information on this subject, you can refer to link: http://bit.ly/12cryow
If you want that each update that must be installed on the computer must be checked and verified. You can use certificates to protect your personally identifiable information on the Internet and to protect your computer from harmful software.
To open local security policy, click Start, point to settings, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click local security policy. In the Details pane, double-click on Control Panel: certificate rules of use on Windows executables for Software Restriction policies. To enable certificate rules, click enabled.
For more information, refer to link: http://bit.ly/WRE4X1 and http://bit.ly/lzDlvb
By activating this option, you would be affecting the browser to check all the online applications that you run and you might get a lot of pop ups or guest.

Since I did a Firefox update about 6 weeks ago, that the foregoing happens and it's more annoying, I uninstall Firefox and Outlook, but it has not solved the problem. Boxes are labeled file download, are about 6.6 KB in size and are different each time. I tried to paste a screenshot here, but this box does not have a dough
I don't know if you figured this out, but what I did to solve this problem went to the file-> options. Click on add ins, then you click on manage add-ins and add disabled Microsoft Outlook Social Connector in.

When I update to Firefox, it changes all my fonts. How can I stop if so?
I have windows 7. I'm stuck on 21.0 Firefox. Each update since then has changed my fonts to the point that I can't get back them. Even when I go and re - change fonts for what they should be, it is not correct. I need to restore my system to 21.0 to recover the correct fonts. I have several programs that I need the fonts to use them properly.
I had the same problem. Thanks for the info above on how to solve this problem. To summarize how to fix:
- Open a new window in FireFox.
- Put this in the address bar: subject: config
- You will see a list of parameters.
- Search for: layout.css.devPixelsPerPx
- Just right click and edit, and then enter a value like 1.0
- Open a new window of FF and surf any web page.
- If the width looks ok, you are finished with layout.css.devPixelsPerPx.
- If the width is not ok, change layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to a slightly different number. On my system, I used 1.03.
- After that, you can change your font size settings.
- To do this, tap the tools, Options menu, content.
The cause of the problem is newer versions of FF had the new thing called layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and its value has not been correctly initialized. The problem occurs to anyone who will update to the new version. It is a bug and should be fixed in the software.

Firefox continues to try to update each time I open the browser, and it then puts a message saying update failed. It does this on both of my computers. We already have the latest version, the other does not. How can I stop Firefox to do this?
If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible.
- Do NOT remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data, because all profile files will be deleted.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

This computer is running Mac OS 10.4.11 on a Power PC chip. I get a small window at the top of the screen that says: "some plugins used by this page are out of date. Enter ' subject: config "in the address bar of the browser, confirm the information dialog box, then find the preference named"plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin"and double click it to switch to 'true '.
Please note that firefox won't also support architecture ppc any longer, however if you want to use an updated firefox-based browser, you can switch to "tenfourfox" - Firefox no longer works with the processors in Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC
