Thunderbird has started recently popping up big yellow 'notes' if I spend too long anywhere on the screen. How can I stop?
There was a recent update, and now when my cursor rests almost anywhere on the Thunderbird window, big yellow notes pop up, describing everything that I'm hovering above. I want to disable this feature.
I wish I could get a capture screen, but every time I try, the pop up disappears.
I use a Mac and the 24.6.0 version
Are you sure that you do not have an add-on you do this? I'm running worm. 24.6 on a PC and I've never seen that happen.
You can restart with Add ons disabled in the Help menu.

This only started happening a week - I used Firefox for years
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

I'm on a 64-bit Windows 7 Pro computer and just upgraded to the most recent Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. When I open a PDF file a window opens saying "the application could not start (0xc0000005). Click OK to close this application"I click OK and the window opens up again about three or four times before it finally stopped. My PDF file is then visible. This is driving me crazy! I tried to use "Repair Installation" in the Menu Help, but it has no effect. I downloaded and installed the latest update - and this miserable message keeps popping up! Before you do a system restore to revert to the previous version, can someone please tell me how to solve this problem? Thank you very much.
Hello
There might be a chance of the previous version left overs. Try uninstalling Acrobat using cleaning tool: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then try to reinstall it and then see if that solves the problem.

Hi Tansy,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I understand how it could be frustrating when things do not work as expected. Please, I beg you, don't worry I'll try my best to resolve the issue.
I understand that you want to disable the open Internet Explorer at startup option.
Method 1
Step 1: I suggest to start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.Startup options (including safe mode)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-modeStep 2: If the problem is solved in SafeMode with networking, then I suggest to perform clean boot and remove the program that is causing the problem.

We have 2 macbookpros 10.10.5 - we recently changed to gmail. now when my wife deletes an email on your Mac... that electronic mail is also deleted on my mac - and if I delete an email on the same account - remove the e-mail on his computer - we don't want that to happen - we want the actions on a computer to be independent of the actions on another computer.
How can we stop this?
My first recommendation is that each of you get your own e-mail account. They are free. If you decide not to do this, change to POP3 instead of IMAP Gmail settings. If you connect to Gmail via your browser, go to the settings, then transfer and POP/IMAP. Change to activate the POP protocol for all messages.

How can I stop Photos to start when I plug my iPod nano?
How can I stop Photos to start when I plug my iPod nano? I use mac os x El Capitan 10.11.3 & iTunes 12.3.2.35.
It takes your iPod nano 5th generation. If so, this happens because he has a camera. After Photos opens when you connect iPod, near the top of the window, is there a checkbox to Open the Photos for this device (or words to that effect)? If you see this checkbox, uncheck. Photos should be open when the iPod is connected.
