  The code above throws an illegal state exception at startup.  If you delete the setTitle (or any field focusable) that has a higher priority than the browserfield, so it works well.

  After reviewing the matter further, the problem may be to the field focusable, but it doesn't have to be on top.  Basically, any field focusable on the same screen as the browserfield throws the exception.

  While going to twitter.com in blackberry browser works very well (sends you to the mobile site), this behavior causes problems with the browserfield.

  The workaround, is just to force the link to open the mobile site directly.

  did you by chance of access installed on your system?  It is possible that the wireless network adapter is set to a higher priority than LAN in your location profile which is the cause of the behavior.  If you have not installed AC it can be a possible solution, you can try.

• Apps get beachballed one after the other on the new iMac. Help with my log files?

  Every day, a beachball appears when you something for on El Capitan. Could not get it to a specific action. One day he could write an email the other day, while in iCal, Photoshop, after a spotlight search. I need hard close the iMac with the button on the back.

  Just to confirm, new submission to applications (initially) in the Port-a-Thon can still occur. The approval time is December 23. Which means that if your new layout is in (and approved) by App World before this date, then it still counts toward the Port-a-Thon.

  That being said, tomorrow we release the gold/OS SDK, so my recommendation for all new presentations would be repackaging/test with those and then submit. With the deadline extended on new presentations, which gives a bit of flexibility with the new tools.

  The important part is that on December 23 is the deadilne approval (i.e. App World must have approved it at that time), not the deadline "submitted". So send it back the sooner you, the better.

• Volume control causes trouble high priority thread

  A few weeks ago, when I was finishing my "Flix" app and adjust the priorities of the threads, I noticed that the wire audio high priority interfered with the volume buttons of the PlayBook.   I finally understood how to prevent the volume control to cause audio problems.

  Here's the long answer:

  -My app plays WAV files back to back. There was a slight "couture" in the audio that I tried to get rid of.

  -A point I tried removed calls to snd_pcm_open and snd_mixer_open whenever a WAV file has been played, thinking that maybe something to do with the small gap in the audio.

  -I didn't know at the time, but I think it's when editing of the volume begun resulting in distortions on the audio.

  -Distortions are prevented by listening to events of volume change, and when it is received, ensure what I call snd_pcm_open and snd_mixer_open to the next WAV file playback.

  I found that MS file size is 0 KB as in the line below so how can I install a file size '0 '?

  I have been involved for the last Chance 5 port-a-thon and submitted applications. Whose 3A approved last week, and the other 2 were refused.

  But today, I received 2 e-mails from BlackBerry that says all my 5 apps are eligible for rewards. It's ok that I saw that they allow us to resubmit rejected applications.

• Port-a-Thon of payments

  First of all, I'm sure that this is not the right forum, but I couldn't find the right one. So please forgive me

  I participated in the last two marathons - Android port-o-thon port and port-a-thon Last Chance - and I made apps 2 and 5 respectively.

  My first 2 apps (2 of 2 in total) for the port-a-thon Android has accepted about 1.5 weeks ago and they are now "on sale". But I only got an email confirming an app approved (but I read that it is the case today). I also received my $100 per e-mail of eligibility app from RIM about 2-3 days after the port-a-thon.

  The problem is that I have not received any email from Touchstone or a milestone (?) like RIM said. And Yes, I check my spam folder regularly. No idea why this is?

  I just had an email from integrated milestone, and that was from the first game-port-o-thon.

  So they have to connect again.

  Maybe they are "gathering" all comments.

  So they won't pay me
