  I'm looking for driver AHCI Inter chipset 6 series 32bi Win XP. I can't find any work. Tried drivers from toshiba web, I tried web drivers of intel - was trying to google for 4 hours in 2 men. His does not work.

  I can't have win 7 on it, because I have Windows NT 4.0 Domain control and Win 7 does not work.

  So, its simple, I have Windows XP installed with all the AHCI drivers.

  What do you im? Force just install driver AHCI (in the hardware Manager)-online BSOD appears, badly restarts, get bios and change the Compatible in AHCI. I got BSOD again, error is unaccesible by car or something like that so I don't know, I have bad driver. Should I change compatible and try a different driver. I tried this way, all the drivers package from toshiba support web and other Google.

  I had a call with the help of toshiba authorized and that they cannot help me, because they do not know.

  May I ask why you are confident that the driver does not work?
  I mean the TV tuner seems to be properly recognized in Device Manager and if there is no yellow exclamation listed near TV tuner, so everything should be good

  I did a clean install of XP Portege 4000. The system has been previously default 98SE.

  Noticed that there is a yellow exclamation point in other devices about the video controller (VGA compatible). I downloaded the display on the Toshiba site driver (if it is the right thing?), but can't seem to install. There is no setup.exe to help me.

  My XP screen covers only 3/4 or more of the screen total, so that something is wrong somewhere...

  No, Toshiba don't support Linux or Ubuntu on the Portege 4000 and you can t find drivers for it on the Toshiba page. Only Windows drivers are available.

  I m not an expert in Linux, but as far as I know you don t need additional graphic driver for Ubuntu. You should only change the resolution of the screen or something in the settings of the screen. I had the same problem on the first time I used Linux and I could solve it without additional driver but I put t know how I did it :(

  I noticed it says to install two updates - we did it, we failed.
  The update that failed is titled "Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 10".  I tried to install this update several times now without success.

  Your computer came with XP? If your computer came with VISTA and was never made for XP, so no XP drivers will be available for the system. I looked at the HP site and could not find XP drivers, which probably means that it is a model of Vista, not XP. If it came with XP then call HP and they will be able to send you a XP disc for a small fee, like $15 or more.

  According to me it was equipped of the * Realtek(10/100M) 10/100MBit LAN chip *.

  So if you need an XP driver for this chip LAN then I recommend you research the Realtek is website owner.
