portfolio types of file allowed?

After watching the sample portfolios, it seems that all content are images of single page. As a designer of printing that produces mainly publications, I wonder if I need to export my samples of portfolio to a type of specific file before I can post them on my portfolio page. Are there guidelines or instructions that I missed? I have not actually started this yet, then perhaps that I start to create a portfolio before I get more instructions?  Ideally, I would like to put samples of several pages in the portfolio.

Can someone advise me?

I refer to the Configuration Guide for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12. I have a question on the recommendation * restrict the types of files that can be downloaded *. I'm not really a functional E-Business Suite user, more looking at it from a perspective of risk analysis.

A few questions if you will allow me:

May I ask if anyone of you in your E-Business Suite facilities restrict the types of files that can be downloaded? If yes which?
What is the risk by limiting only not the files that can be downloaded? What can happen? What's the risk major?
And also, specific to the financial modules of EBS, what types of files "load" users? Can you give us some examples?
Can do you more harm than good by limiting certain types of files allowed for download?
And also where exactly can you check what restrictions in terms of file type and size are currently defined? And how to navigate EBS to see what's next?

  • Colour varies with the type of file

I have an Office Jet Pro 8600, which is about 1.5 years old.  It allows to print PDF files perfectly but JPGs, MS Publisher are distorted in this red appears yellow to orange.  I haven't checked the other types of files.

I cleaned the print head, and finally the diagnosis told to replace the print head.  However, it prints the PDF (and maybe others) just drop off.  Black works very well too.

Do I need a new printer or?

    David

My bad.  It wasn't printing the files OK.   The test file, I chose didn't need any magenta ink and so I see no problem.  HP sent me a necessary printing head and fortunately my printer is still under warranty, so everything should be OK within 5-7 business days when the new leader arrives.  My apologies and please ignore all this.  David

My bad.  It was NOT OK for pdf printing.  I got to choose one with no red (magenta), which was what was screwed up in the print head.  With HP cat and they went through it with me.  Need print head is on it way for me.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • What type of file to be used as accessory jpg or pdf?

I scan documents and then these attachments to different companies.  I have a new printer and it allows me to choose what type of file I want to download: jpg or pdf.  Can you tell me what the file is the most common most businesses to view documents?

Companies can almost certainly view or the other guy, but a pdf file
should be better for documents. A jpg file is almost never used
    for anything except the photos.

    Here are four ways:

    1. go to a command prompt and run the command

dir [drive: folder] > c:\tempfilename (you can use any name and put
in any folder of your choice)

Then open Notepad, open tempfilename and print from there.

    2. write (for example, in Notepad), a text line 1:
    / DIR %1 > LPT1:

Save it as 'printdir.bat' in the folder ' send to '.

Then, to print the list of files in any folder, right click on this folder
and select send to | Printdir.bat

To include subfolders, set up the command DIR %1/O/S > LPT1:

    3. go in

  • Box "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is grayed out out__cant change file association for any type of file

I'm not allowed to change any combination of files for any type of file... If I try to associate a file type with a program that I can't the box is grayed out to always open the file with this program, for example, if I try to open .py (programming in python language file) with python from another program whenever I have to right click and open with python, but if I want to choose the "always use". the selected program to open this type of file"is grayed on I can not change it... pls help

    Hi VikkHckrz,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer recently?

    Method 1:

You can consult the following KB article and run the fix it tool available and check if you can assign file association.

When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505

    Also check out the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default

After running the fixit so check the option is grayed out or not.

    Method 2:

If you're still having problems, then you can try to change the settings in the registry only if it is present on your computer and check if it helps.

    a. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. navigate to the

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer

    (c) in the right side of the screen, double click on "NoFileAssociate".

    d. change the value of "NoFileAssociate" from 1 to 0.

    e. exit the registry editor and restart the computer and check.

Important: The above mentioned steps show you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps from the link below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Need to download adobe but he said «this type of file can harm your computer»

My daughter wanted to play a game on the internet, but to play it said she had to download Adobe. When she clicked on the "Download" there was a warning: "this type of file can harm your computer" and something about modules and Active X.  Someone would please good enough to explain what it means at all?  It is allowed to download or not?

It is a general warning to make you think about what you install when asked to install things from the Internet. If you expect to install something, it is generally safe, such as Adobe Flash. Be ever vigilant when on the Internet!

For your convience, here is the file to install Adobe Flash on your computer: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

When you click on that, save the file to your hard drive, and then close all Internet Explorer Windows. Run the downloaded program to install Adobe Flash.

When you run Internet Explorer again, it may ask you to allow Flash to run. You can say okay.

  • How to convert files allows.

I have Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. My cell phone takes pictures and records them in a file format allows. When I load it into my computer and try to open, the computer tells me that it can not read this type of file. I tried to download some "freeware" programs, but they do not seem to work either. What can I do to make the computer opens these files allows?

What is the brand and model of the phone?

I was not able to find something on an image file with the extension PLT format, although I saw a mention of "topographical (?). Database files"which contain data on the *.img (Garmin) files.

  • What Type of file?

I beat the monster format. The monster format as Adobe first Elements 10 will not support two videos at once or DSLR bother at all. I conquered it by downloading a software that allows me to convert videos in a particular file. So, I need to know what type of file is better supported and convenienty used in EPA 10. Can someone tell me?

The best thing to do would be to convert the Canon AVCHD video. Then you can load the two AVCHD videos in a project. But this will only work if you have shot your film to Sony in FH or mode 1920 x 1080 HQ and you turned your Canon video at 1920 x 1080.

    (1) open a new Premiere Elements project. Make sure it is set up for DSLR 1920x1080p30.

    (2) connect your Canon camera to your computer via USB and use Media Get / Flip camcorder, AVCHD or hard drive to open the video importer and import the files from the camera to your video project.

    (3) put the video on your timeline and use share/computer/AVCHD with the preset for M2T 30 fps 1920 x 1080 to your movie as an M2T file.

    (4) open a new project set up for AVCHD Full 1920 x 1080 with 5.1 audio (since your Sony pulls in 5.1).

    (5) use Get Media to bring your film from Sony and created M2T files above and start editing.

Or download the version 11. In which you can just load everything at once and just change!

  • Are there specific codecs or import libraries that will make the first 6 use several types of files?

Are there specific codecs or import libraries that will allow the first 6 import file types more?  I use 6 first on Windows 7.

It seems that the only type of file which can be imported in this first release are certain types of AVI files... even certain types of notice will import but then will not appear when it is not placed in the timeline... no MPGs, MP4s, and WMVs, or something else will import at all.

Virtually all the files I need to bring for first 6 must be converted into AVI with H.264 codec first.

    Any help would be useful.

    I'm afraid not.

Even if you were abel to import the first is not designed to handle these files.

  • Type of file in iTunes

How can I show or enable the type of file in iTunes? It displays only the album, the song title and track number but not the file type.

    Albert,

In iTunes, file type is in the column "type".  Go to view > show view Options.  Make sure that the display is set to the songs, and then you can check the box for the genre.

  • Despite the solution given in the forum, I can not .jpg listed in the type of listing file for how to do in the face of various types of files.

Whenever I click on a link, .jpg, the image opens in Firefox. I want to use another program, but I can't change because .jpg does not appear in the list of file types for which you can specify actions. I know that there is an answer in the forum of Firefox, but I never get the option box that asks me what to do with the file, so I can't go to the box 'do this for all these types of files. Help!

JPEG images are considered normal browser content and do not generate an open/save/Cancel dialog box, unless the site sends a special header indicating that it should be treated as a download (disposition = attachment instead of inline).

To Save the image, your best integrated option is to right-click on the image and use save picture as or if it's a link to an image, right click the link and save the link under.

But to start the image in a different program, I can't think a built-in feature that can do this, then you probably need an add-on.

I see for example, there are extensions to open an image in PhotoShop or Fireworks:

If these programs are not relevant, if all goes well there is a more general purpose extension on the site that fits your needs.

  • Suddenly yesterday all types of files are downloaded as 'attachment.ashx' instead of pdf, doc, or something else.

I use Firefox for many months to access my work using Outlook Web Access (OWA) mail. By clicking on an attachment always resulted in the download file intact (for most PDF files and Word documents). All of a sudden yesterday all types of files cause the download of 'attachment.ashx '. I had not changed anything in Firefox. I restarted Ff, then my computer without effect. Then, I deleted and reinstalled Ff - no change. Now in the window of the files PDF and documents are not listed, but I can't go in there when even because they do not download as such. I use Ff on Mac OS 10.6.8 8.0.

Further investigation showed that Outlook Web Access has been set only for Chrome (in Exchange 2010 SP1), but not for Firefox (so he sends different responses to different browsers and send content always broken for Firefox).

I encourage the people affected to this to open a case of pension at Microsoft while the Firefox team focuses on how best to improve the situation within Firefox.
