• Possible bug? Change the geometry on the hair, the changes are lost when the model is saved, then loaded into fuse again.  Is this a bug?

  When I save the changes to the hair using the tool change the geometry in a file .fuse on the computer.  These changes are lost when I load the model to the fuse.  Is this a bug?

  Thank you much for the details.  I tested it on Windows and Mac and reproduced.  Doesn't seem to be a bug (but not a guarantee).  I've done some characters, recorded their soft-mod-ness very well.  I connected with the engineers for more tests and we will have fixed as soon as possible!

• Possible bug with adding the query to your Favorites

  I noticed that when I create a MDX query say with a time range of 24 hours and then click on the "current query add to Favorites." When I click the "Favorite queries" button and pull again it changes hourly range custom and goes back to the time when I ran at the origin of the request and not for the last 24 hour period.

  You can do this by using SecurityContext userInRole (#{securityContext.userInRole ['admin']}, but I need to do in my own managed bean.) When I try to follow the same approach as securityContext (i.e. #{mybean.check ['value']}) and having a check (String) method in mybean, it gives me an error saying that there is no such thing as checking property.
  
  I followed the post http://technology.amis.nl/blog/622/how-to-call-methods-from-el-expressions-pre-jsp-20-trick-for-jsps-with-jstl that shows something to do (the bean implements interface card), it works.
  The question is if this will also work in future releases of the ADF.

  You are hard to figure out how to work the EL:

  ValueExpression: solve the last part of the phrase as a property of the object resolved the previous expression. [So if you #{securityContext.userInRole\['admin'\}] or #{securityContext.userInRole.admin}, it really means "find the admin of the object property #{securityContext.userInRole}", now #{securityContext.userInRole} is acard. Until getting the 'admin' of a card property means getting the value of the key "admin". Now, if #{securityContext.userInRole} is a custom made map which replace the get method to implement logic, it can look like it is a method call with the expression from the point of view of EL, but it isn't really happening.

  MethodExpression: solve the last part of the phrase as a method with a specific context signature of the object resolved the previous expression. Now the specific context depends on the attribute being used, actionListener will seek public Sub method (ActionEvent) and nothing else. So, if you want to pass a parameter by using the same strategy, you do not disrupt the party, but you can influence the previous part, which is a ValueExpression. So, let's say you have actionListener = "#{foo.bar.method}" and must pass the parameter to the method, you can use instead of #{foo.bar\[parameter\].method}, where #{foo.bar\[parameter\}] resolve to an object with a public method (ActionEvent) Sub, but instantiated during the resolution of parameter passing the said parameter to the constructor of the object. " This way is quite complicated, however, and we never had to use it in the projects I've done (and some of them were / are very complex). I suggest to the contrary push settings in the object before calling the method. Let the example of listener to action:

  Well, if you'd look closer you would recognize the 'save to spreadsheet' as polymorphic VI. As this polymorphic VI does not support the EXTENSION numbers internally (it only supports DBL, I64, and String) LabVIEW selects the instance with more precision: I64 (I64 a 64 bits of precision, DBL that 53...). Your options are:

  -the value of the instance to use as the DBL (by right click and "Select type... »)

  -make a copy of this VI, save it under a different name and make support number of POST (not rework the polymorphic VI like you would break compatibility with other facilities of LV or future revisions)

  For this, we have written action method in the backup of the homepage bean.

• Possible bug? : External input (Type, number): failed to enable the 'Entry required' property presentation User Interaction tab

  Are people capable of reproducing the following, or is it just me?

  Problem:

  Impossible to activate the agent of property entry for an external input of type number in a user interaction as is not not but can define required entry of type string. This seems to affect interaction element user as well as the workflow if the number data type is used.

  It was available in earlier versions of the vCO and was withdrawn "by design". I don't remember what was the explanation. I worked around it by using other properties of validation such as min / max, or a custom validation.

• Is it possible to extract all the spfile parameters in pfile

  I spfile autobackup and I need the values of some parameters in the spfile.

  But when I create pfile from spfile and pfile newly created does not contain all the parameters such as log_buffer etc.

  For some reason any spfile cannot be used to start the instance.

  As everyone has told you already - when you create pfile from spfile file, all that is default there. If you want to add a value of something to be default, you can add that to the pfile manually file.

• ASA - upgrade to 8.4, impossible to ping inside the interface via IPSec VPN

  We have configured a site 5, site to site VPN scenario.   Last week, we have upgraded 2 devices ASA 5505 to 8.4.2.   Before the upgrade, our monitoring software would ping the inside interface from remote devices to confirm VPN tunnels were established, as well as the addresses of remote devices and the outside of the ASA.   While we were on 8.2, remote equipment successfully ping the inside interface.   After that we went to 8.4.2 we can do a ping to this interface.   We looked at the newspapers and we see the ICMP traffic that is listed in the newspaper, but the remote equipment does not receive back icmp traffic.   We can ping successfully from local hardware interface inside and the external interface of remote devices successfully.  In addition, we can ping material behind the two devices in both directions successfully.

  We are unable to remotely manage the device through the VPN tunnel

  Net is:

  ASA #1 inside 10.168.107.1 (running ASA 8.2)

  ASA #2 inside 10.168.101.1 (running ASA 8,4)

  Server 1 (behind the ASA #1) 10.168.107.34

  Server 2 (behind the ASA #2) 10.168.101.14

  Can ping server 1 Server 2

  Can ping server 1 to 1 of the SAA

  Can ping server 2-ASA 2

  Can ping server 2 to server 1

  can not ping ASA 1 and 2 of the ASA

  can not ping server 1 and 2 of the ASA

  cannot access the ASA 2 https for management interface, nor can the ASDM software

• Can not handle the ASA inside the interface of Site to Site VPN

  Hi all

  I was deploying new site to site between ASA 8.0 (HQ) and ASA 8.4 (branch). Everything works fine but I have a problem on the ASA-reach remote that I can't manage branch ASA with inside the interface IP address.

  My setup on remote ASA

  management-access inside

  ICMP allow any inside

  SSH 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 inside

  SNMP-server host inside 10.0.1.101 communitry test-snmp version 2 c

  My Test

  -ping of the AC for inside the interface of remote ASA

  • Client time-out see demand
  • When debug icmp on ASA remote then ASA show only ICMP request to HQ no response back from remote ASA

  I'm not sure whether it's a bug on ASA 8.4 or not because I can manage a remote other ASA what version 8.0 software HQ

  Do not know what 8.4 version you use, but it is broken in the 8.4 (2), I stumbled upon the upgrade from same problem. SSH and ASDM will not connect through a VPN L2L interface inside. This worked well in 8.4 (1).
