  • Possible hacking of my office

Awhile back, I had a computer repairman in our House to solve a problem since we were still under the manufacturer's warranty.  The problem has been supported, but the technology was "dubious" itself.  Starting very shortly after his visit that seems to involve a lot of keyboard typing, our online shopping has repeatedly been hacked and any additional precautions, we try to take, someone seems to know a new credit card number as soon as we use them.  This is starting to get expensive.  Is there a way that the tech visit could add a program to send to him (or other) our info financial as soon as it is used?  How would I find such a program?

I hope that's not sound too paranoid, I think that it doesn't.

    Hello

A Keylogger, which is a program installed, send the information of credit card that they monitor your keystrokes and send this information to a 3rd party.

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Keystroke_logging

These are computer programs designed to run on the target computer software . [2] Keyloggers are used in COMPUTER departments to resolve technical problems with computers and business networks. Keyloggers can also be used by a family (or a company) to monitor the use of the network of people without their knowledge. Finally, attackers can use keyloggers on public computers to steal passwords for or credit card.

Hello Ive had problems connecting to my email account. its asking me to varify my account. I spoke to microsoft technical support and they say that my computer has been hacked and someone was logging into my account they say also that my computer is compramised to. Ive scanned my computer for any viruses, malware, etc. and he found nothing, I would of expected to see something if my computer has been hacked I reason to think that.

The problem with e-mail accounts free web-based is that the owners of the accounts are not strong enough using passwords.

These accounts are missed at the server end more that they do at the end of the user, and they are not easy to retrieve as many account owners will never use the email client in its simplest form and are not able to prove without a doubt that they are the real owners...

    Hi HelenSmith,

Software piracy can occur in a number of ways. Your computer system itself can be hacked and used personal information. Your blog or your Web site can be compromised if a hacker gets your password. Your email can be hacked if you click on a fraudulent link and you will not be able to recover your email address and other information you have saved in your account. Follow these steps to protect your computer and prevent software piracy.

    ·         Attack of hackers where they see weakness. A system that has not been updated recently has defects that can be put to use by hackers. Go to the Microsoft Update site to download the patches and secure the most recent version of your operating system.

    ·         Firewalls prohibit external threats such as viruses and hackers to access your system. Customize your firewall during installation process settings to accommodate the amount of data you want to allow in your system from the Internet. Regularly update your firewall.

    ·         Multiple use of complex passwords for each Web site, connect. Banking and other financial sites are particularly important maintain security.

    ·         Delete e-mails from unknown sources. Never click on an e-mail link that seems doubtful.

    ·         Buy or download an antivirus software. Many computers come pre-installed with some anti-virus software, but if not, or if you want a more powerful software, search online to find what product is right for you. Anti-virus software is crucial to keeping your computer healthy. A "sick", or a prey to viruses, is more vulnerable to piracy. Set your preferences so that your antivirus software will update automatically.

I suggest that you scan and remove any malware or computer virus infections after you start the computer in Safe Mode with networking and check if it helps.

    Step 1

    Boot safe mode with networking.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Step 2

Perform a virus scan to eliminate all virus infected.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

You can also use Microsoft Security databases to scan your computer

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/PC-security/MSE.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    original title: KB963093

Maybe I was attacked by an intruder?   After receiving emails from Hilton and Marriott that my email address was stolen in Epsilon, suddenly I am asked to install this old security patch, that concerns me, because it is 2009.

Any ideas on what could happen? I have not installed, but it keeps asking to be installed.

Even if I go to Windows update directly it comes up with this security update to do.

It is a legitimate windows update there will be no problem with the installation. Some security updates are defined as optional and not pushed through, please download and install, then run a virus scan to make sure that your system is clean. Download the update from here.

  • Change the properties of a cluster element inside an array of clusters

    Hi all

I have a table of cluster that has the shape of a line with different elements of the screen.

A list or a tree would not have made it, so I had to use a cluster and make a.

The problem is I want to change not only the text but also the color of the text.

    Individually.

    I found this:

    http://www.NI.com/example/30904/en/

But it changes the property in all groups in the table, not just the one I need.

Some people have the same problem:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/reference-to-array-of-clusters-with-an-array-element/TD-p/1006427

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/different-set-of-values-for-two-rings-in-an-array-of-clusters/m-p/10...

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/property-node-of-a-control-inside-of-cluster-inside-an-array/m-p/946...

Obviously, even if in a table/list or a tree, you can change the property of an individual

cells (font, color), you can't do it in a cluster network, by a kind of magic.

the property of an element of the cluster (font, color) are all connected together, so made

the use of a table without value.

A possible hack is available using masking of control, a visible setting and the

other invisble, exchanging their position, whatever. This is a hack you have to perform,

Therefore, add another code to maintain.

Is that still the case, or is it now a more formal way to manage the individual cluster

Properties, not only its data? After all it is a common example of a real life which should

managed by Labview. In my opinion.

    David Koch

    Altenbach says:

One of the elements could be an indicator of 2D about the same size image. You can create text in any color using the features of the image.

Here's what I had in mind. Seems to work very well (I would refine the border picture fonts, etc., but this should help you get started).

  • Problems with Vista OS SP2 after automatic updates: using OneCare; application of integrated keylogger HP CPU "HP SDP" made by IBM in Durham, North Carolina (?); corrupted Samsung print driver downloaded from the website of the company

    Entered possible hacker:

    1. techie OneCare WINS access - probably not unauthorized and do not believe it causes always provided a quality service, but they have had access in the past.

2 HP technicians - have had access to my computer once - did a good job with computer crash (not sure cause), but tried to sell me more HP products when I have no money...

    3. after the technicians HP did good job with crash, started to have pop-ups keep HP application that appeared as an add-on that works without permissions on my computer. Google the name of the HP SDP application > recovered information said program is IBM in North Carolina. Called them. Nobody gives any information on the program until I got ahold of a person who gave me the phone to techie Dept. It took all day. Not have not yet contacted technology because they have closed before I could call.

    4. called HP to inquire about the search info from HP SDP. on his goal? HP said he works as a keylogger you sell stuff. But what was weird is after the system crashed and repaired, there was one day that he has opened three times in ten minutes! The behavior of the application has changed after my OS has been repaired. Then after that I indicated HP where I found information on this program, the program disappear from the list of "run without permissions" in internet options explore > manage add-ons > run without the permissions list

    5. one day, I'm working on a word document, and the printer stops abruptly, impression. No amount of turn, or by clicking 'Cancel' will get doc from the printer queue. MS literature said this could be a security issue. The printer says "printing of documents", but no printing at my end.

This problem is compounded when I delete browsing history and try to refresh the internet Explorer. That activity seems to take pieces of the program Samsung printer with it, even if I had excellent results in the past with Samsung printers and their downloads, and I never had the damaged printer driver to exercise this activity in the past.

If I didn't have a short term in the Court of appeal in a week, I would say it's a question of OS, or program problem, but it's as if something falls down as soon as another issue is fixed and the unusual behavior of the computer, more timing and the purpose of the brief to me 90% sure that this is a pirate or a virus the surplus of the Samsung driver deleted pieces being left on my machine after uninstall.

    Dear Karena R,.

Thanks a lot for your excellent advice. The Techies MS OneCare fixed the popup of HP before I read your message. (I was remiss to check my email...). I'll follow the instructions you sent me and am running the OneCare security right now, online scanner that I already know an excellent and effective tool because it has repaired my MS operating system and programs after that I accidentally deleted parts of the operating system by removing a .dll file, I need or such a thing! I also wanted to thank you for the information about the object of the HP SDP pop-up window. I saved your instructions on how to remove this case, the pop up appears again. One thing I noticed is that, after removal, some keys on my keyboard don't work, and I've read that other HP users encounter the same problem with the keys on the keyboard. The keys that seem to be affected are the keys that automatically open and close the door of the CD burner. Not a problem, because it is another way to open and close the drawer. It's one that HP must improve. In regards to your advice on the printer driver you have been 'right on' new! I reinstalled the driver using my own CD (not the latest driver, but one that works!) I think that the problem with the update of the Samsung driver that I downloaded from the Web site doesn't have some kind of problem. It is very unusual for a driver to Samsung, because I got excellent results with printers Samsung and free updates downloaded from their Web site. The first Samsung printer I had worked so well, for so long as the small rubber roller that takes the paper and it feeds through the printer wore out until the printer is, literally in a 100,000 pages printed after that I bought for about $80.00 dollars! So, I went out and bought another one, and that's what I use now. The printer works fine now, except for some reason, the icon in my taskbar notification area, allow to check the printer the status of jobs, cancel or repeat printing as before. Once. from time to time, a job stuck in the queue for the printer and will not erase unless I unplug the printer from the central unit. Nor will it print. But since I reinstalled the driver, this has happened only once. With the downloaded update, it happened all the time. It is possible that my OS is misconfigured, but I started to run the routine tune ups and analyses using OneCare and unless I used to defragment. I learned that the defragmentation of the hard disk too can cause problems also. The last thing is, I think that sometimes, tiny files needed to run my OS and files other programs can be sent to my temporary folder by accident. MS still once, All_Knowing computer, somehow recognizes the files I need and pushes me to ignore them, but perhaps it does not work for non-Microsoft like Adobe programs. I will use the link in your message to run the fix with the printer driver just to see if it works. If it is not the case, I can always reinstall the driver with my CD that came with the printer. Thanks for the excellent and informative tips and forgive me if I do not respond sooner!

    Sincerely,

  • my Asus PC is Windows 7 Build 7601 no real problem. How can I solve this problem?

I bought my pc Asus 3 months spent in a shopping center here in the Philippines and 3 or 4 days ago, I encountered this problem. I tried to run a report of diagnosis as a basis, but I failed to create output in my pc files... pls help.

Is there a COA sticker on this machine (possibly inside the battery compartment)? If so, what version and edition of WIndows?

There are signs of Activation exploit a possible hacker to move a license.

This usuall model comes with Starter Edition, rather than Home Premium - it is likely that someone installed an 'upgrade' not authentic. If this is the case, you should back up your data on an external and then use the manufacturer back to the original OS recovery media.

  • listener authentication AAA with the custom login page

    Hello

is it possible to customize the page of connection on an ASA 5520 8.2 (1) that appears when you use the "listener authentication aaa" by adding images? I know that there is the command 'auth-guest' but it only allows to add text. Is there a form any HTML that allows the inclusion of the gif, bmp or jpg?

    Any hint is appreciated.

    Carpet

    Hi Matthias,

officially, this is not possible. There is an improvement for this request:

CSCsh02789    Improvement: Ability to customize the page of connection through proxy cut

So you can open a TAC case and ask to link to the application (to add a little more weight) or contact your account team and ask them to talk to the business unit (to add more weight).

That said, there is a possible hack you might want to try:

    for example, I have configured:

    AUTH-guest guest Please loghttp://myserver/image.gif' > '.

and it shows the picture below to the command prompt. So it is a hack of course not supported, so it can break in future versions. And of course, it's pretty limited in what you can do.

Now, if you disable the listener, for HTTP, it will use basic browser (no login form) authentication, but for HTTPS, it will use always a form, but a much more basic, so you can always use the same hack with a little more flexibility.
