Postfix: Address rewriting

Hello

I have a server OS X 10.8.5.  I have a couple of settings of projects cron that I receive the mail when they run, but my e-mail server rejects emails because they do not come from FULL domain name.  The emails come from , but I would like to re - write the address to [email protected]>.

I do this all the time on the server Linux: first of all, I add the following to ' / etc/postfix/main.cf':

sender_canonical_maps = hash: / etc/postfix/canonical

I create (or edit) a file called "/ etc/postfix/canonical" and add the following entry:

[email protected] [email protected]

I then run "postmap/etc/postfix/canonical" and then "postfix restart."

In this particular case, I was all above and also run "launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.postfix.master.plist" followed by "launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.postfix.master.plist.

Is there another way to do this on OS X?

Thank you! :-)

Postfix/etc files are not used to the server. The files that are used are in/Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix.

  • Firefox will lose a link in my Web page as pointing to the same folder as the page is in.

I have a Web page with a link to another Web page. The link is in the form < a href = "http://www.sitename.com"target = "new" >
In Internet Explorer, when I hover over the link http://www.sitename.com address appears at the bottom of the screen, and the page opens without any problem.

However, in Firefox when I hover over the link that appears at the bottom of the screen:

    addressofcurrentpage /------www.sitename.com

and when I click on the link, I get a 404 message telling me that this page does not exist.

Why Firefox is my link for me address rewriting, and how can I get him to stop?

Yes, you must use http:// instead of http:// in the link. Basically, never use a backslash anywhere in a URL in Firefox.

    Hi all

    I inherited a 10.7.5 os x server.

He currently acts as a mail (IMAP) server.

When I click on start mail - it stops just again.

Clients use the imap Protocol to send or receive mail, they had on another account. The used imap server as a storage of archives.

Everything was working fine but suddenly stopped, messaging service. I tried to make it work again, but currently I'm quickly anywhere.

I think it's a permissions problem, the outputs are below.

The server is Let's say also that the certificate has expired, it would also prevent workstation (as a service)?

This server is about to be killed, all I want to do is connect to the imap folders and export data!

A copy of the disk backup, so that if one of the following conditions fails, or the disk itself is a failure - you have a copy of the data.

It's probably more permissions, but try a repair permissions and a volume.

Some of what is shown implies that Postfix is partially started and partially failed.

What I would try here: create one or two copies - back ups - this disk out for external devices and disconnect and reverse these copies, install a clean copy of 10.7.5 on an external drive to work, install Server.app on it, start the and migrate in this drive OS X Server configuration settings.

Otherwise, there are discussions on access to the Bank of messages directly.   On top, I don't remember where this mail store.  On most recent releases.app, I look around slot/library/server/mail for this, however.  Probably in/library/server/mail/data/email/users

  • Why the in email Email Address' infected are hidden

OK, this is a follow-up question to a previous post entitled "how to see the emails infected."

After receiving an e-mail usurped supposedly from a friend, I decide to examine the email address the email was sent by.

So I click 'Reply to all' but have no intention on send to anyone.

I then double-click each email address and page properties 'add a contact' pulls up (but I have no intention to add the contact to mine)

All except an email address, there was 1 standard email address which can be seen in the "personal e-mail" field

But on one of the email, not only is there the standard in the field 'email' personal e-mail, but another in the "work email" field

The field of work email has the address of: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy *.

In other words, one e-mail address in the field "To" a 2 address bound to it, while others have only the address of a.

So I find the work email address and found that her from somewhere in paris france and perhaps the source of identity theft.

But here's the issue at hand:

How does a secondary address we hidden?

So I checked the e-mail property page and the line 'To' only the standard e-mail in it, as in the e-mail message.

But there is no sign of this secondary "work email" on the line "to".

The only clue I have is on the E-mail property page:

    Received: from [182.68.206.9] (helo = smtp.online .net)

Does anyone have any ideas as to how an e-mail address within the line 'to' can have both a personal and professional but only staff address is visible?

You may provide me with an example.

Is your intention to acquire the skills to do it yourself?

There are a lot more to an e-mail message that you can see in the header block. Each letter has a certain structure which you can study on Wikipedia while searching for keywords such as MIME. Here is an example. By not following the regulatory structure, spammers can generate different effects that can be detected by virus filters so they can mark it as spam. You can examine the raw content of an e-mail message with tools such as getmail.exe. Get ready to devoted considerable time to the effort.

  • Rewrite the recipient field

    Hello

I want to rewrite the email recipients field and transmits them to an external host.

I've set up an incoming call rule content filtering where some addresses (in a dictionary) were sent to an alt-host (external host). that works very well, but we need to rewrite the recipient field.

    How ironport can handle this?

    Michael,

Yes, if you are looking to implement this just for some addresses of a domain, the Alias table can be used for this.

    Using the command "aliasconfig".

  • Importance of next in CEF hop address

    Hello

I want to understand the meaning of the address section NEXT in FIB. If the adjancency tables are there who can point to the L2 address then why do we need to have the address of next while FIB hop?

He left because of the load balancing?

    Thank you for your support.

    Wajih

    Wajih, Rick,

    Noushad has a valid point.

The FIB itself is a structure tree, built from the network prefixes found in the routing table and contains pointers to the corresponding entries in the adjacency table. If a package arrives, its destination IP address will be matched against the prefixes in the FIB and the pointer in the corresponding entry in the FIB points directly to the adjacency table entry that contains a frame pre-built header to encapsulate packets and send it to the good neighbor. Essentially, the FIB is an index on the adjacency table, by using the network as key prefixes to find records in the adjacency table (the frame rewrite information).

Source IP address of the next game in that stretch?

Surprisingly, the IP address of the next hop is only used when the FIB table entries and contiguity are built and interconnected. On the one hand, the IP address of the next jump will be resolved in the Layer2 appropriate and this addressing information, including any other information, will be used to create a table of adjacency entry. On the other hand, networks in the routing table is "compiled" into the FIB and will be contiguity related to the entries in the table with the IP address of the section as the "foreign key" to connect the FIB and adjacency table entries.

Once these structures have been built properly and connected to each other, however, the IP address of the next hop isn't really necessary when CEF/FIB searches are performed. The principle of search in the FIB requires not the presence of a following jump IP, and once the node corresponding to the destination of a package was found in the LIE, the pointer contained in the table entry of contiguity which contains already information from mapping appropriate in Layer2 next hop IP addresses to which edge node. So, really, the jump following IPs are used to construct the adjacency table and tie the FIB entries in the adjacency table entries, but they do not serve to exploit the EFC together.

The fact that IP addresses hop next appear in the output of show ip cef , even show the detail of the adjacency, does not mean that they are really part of the FIB table or contiguity. They provide diagnostic data kept for us, administrators, to better navigate outings. However, just because a next jump IP is printed in these commands Show does not mean that the IP address is actually used when you use the FIB table or contiguity. Think of it as a control and diagnostic information that can be stored in the data of the CEF, but who plays no role in the FEC works.

    My two cents...

    Best regards
    Peter

  • Cisco ASA 8.4.1 address Destination NAT?

    I have a situation where I have a deployed asa5505 8.4.1 running.

The customer has a mail server existing which is located on their local network and has Port configured NAT for normal mail ports, etc. 25,110,993,587.

It works very well for incoming mail and any jerky mail user off the external server or by visiting the webmail from outside the network.

However when the users within the LAN to connect through the ASA test back entering the IP address on the external Interface of the ASA, they are unable to do so.

I came up with the solution is split DNS.   well does he rely on users not changing their dns servers.

I was wondering if it is possible to make a sort of NAT that rewritten traffic destined to the above ports on the external IP address to the internal LAN Ip instead.

This is probably a stupid question, but I couldn't find an answer may I use the terms wrong to get one.

In any case, I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

    Thank you

You can only configure DNS rewrite rewrite if you have static NAT 1 to 1, with static PAT as advised, rewriting DNS is not supported because with PAT static, it is potentially different internal IP mapping, so the DNS rewrite is not exactly at the right address.

  • ESW 520 give priority to IP addresses

I have a LAN with IP addresses for the computers and public, static IP for VoIP phones. They are a hosted VoIP provider, and I want to give priority to the public IPs from my ESW-520-48 per switch How I implemented that in this switch?

I have no roles assigned on ports and no configuration of VLAN either. I had tried to separate the VLAN first, but eliminated this way. It is once again all VLAN 1 now on the switch. For some reason when I put in place of the 100 VLAN for voice, the voice stopped working on phones, but data were always very good.

    Hi netguy,.

    QOS in rewriting the DSCP (dissociated Services Code Point) address IP phone range by;

    1. create an ACL that specifies the range of IP addresses with mask reverse

    2. attach the ACL on a map of advanced class, then

    3. fix a plan of class to a table of QOS policy that is configured to set a new DSCP value

    4. attach a QOS policy on an interface

5 but you have a default Advanced QOS configuration already in place, so that should be modified or deleted.

It is difficult if you have never played with before advanced QOS or understand the latest five statements.

I guess that your hosted IP phones have DSCP settings (dissociated Services Code Point) already placed on IP phones or the settings that you can set directly on each IP phone?

If it is possible, why not just move the switch to the basic QOS mode and then say the switch to trust DSCP.

Well, it's the best thing to do.

    Best regards, Dave

  • PIX DNS rewrite the question.

I have a PIX running version 7.0 (4) of the software and I'm trying to configure DNS rewrites.

My DNS server is to my ISP hooked on the external interface, my servers I'm having the problem with is on the inside and I use static NAT doesn't.

The relevant lines of my PIX for NAT is downstairs, I defined the latter name entries, so I hide just my IP address on this forum ranges.

public static dns subnet mask 255.255.255.255 services1.prv services1 (indoor, outdoor)

    NAT-control

If I now do a dns lookup from an inside host connected against my name server that is connected to the external interface, I get the real IP address of my server and not the 192.x.x.x

I read the docs and it seems to me it should work, I would have added in PIX 6.x entered alias to help, but it seems that those who are now deprecated.

    Any help would be appreciated

I assume that you have read the following document (under dns inspect)?

  • Network VPN Guest - rewriting DNS

    Hello

I have installed on my external interface remote VPN access. External DNS advanced vpn.contoso.com to this external interface. I also have a PAT policy for some of my traffic "Inside" to use this same external interface IP address.

I wish I could use vpn.contoso.com to my 'guest' network, which uses external DNS, VPN connectivity. I enabled remote access VPN on my "Guest" interface I know I can't use DNS rewrite on a policy of PAT. Y at - it another option to make this work? Could I possibly create a separate static NAT police translate my IP of the interface 'Guest' to my IP of the interface "Outside"? If so, should I first remove politics PAT for my traffic inside?

    Thank you
    Blue

    Hello

    A number of things.

    1. you cannot connect to the external interface of the VPN from the interface of comments and you cannot nat outside interface for the comments interface. It is not possible.

    2. the only way to make it work is to have resolution of the vpn.contoso.com at the interface of comments for users connected to the interface of comments.

    Hope that answers your query.

  • RW/dvd was now working is not considered to be rewritable

Until 3 days ago, my driver wrote OK, now my win7 64-bit not see as rewritable.
I changed to the other three pilots, and the same problem appears.
The DVD can read and read but not write.

I suspect the file windows/system32/drivers/cdrom.sys is corrupt, but lacked the means to address them.

I even performed a restore without success.

    Hello

Having too many CD/DVD programs can cause strange problems, especially if they're loading of parts of
themselves at the start because they will be competing for resources. This does not mean that this issue has been
caused by those, however, it's a possibility depending on which and how many you have installed.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

    END;

I'm sure this can be written much more effectively, but I don't know how.

The first charge is to determine if a record exists in the table PROJECT_REPORT_TYPE for the project from the front end page and the PROJECT_REPORT_TYPE. TYPE_ID exists in the REPORT_TYPE table.

If at least one record exists then determine if a record exists in the REPORT_ADMIN table where the REPORT_ADMIN TYPE_ID exists in the REPORT_TYPE table.

If there is at least one record of that result, then create a list of e-mail addresses of RESOURCE table join again on the table REPORT_ADMIN, where REPORT_ADMIN TYPE_ID exists in the PROJECT_REPORT_TYPE table.

I thought of two queries that don't COUNT (*) I could join these two tables together for the values of the query online, SELECT type_id FROM report_type, is a glance toward the top of the table. Therefore, values for TYPE_ID columns must come from the REPORT_TYPE table.

    So, I thought that maybe:

    SELECT count (*) FROM project_report_type INNER JOIN report_admin count1 ON project_report_type.type_id = report_admin.type_id WHERE project_report_type.project_id =: P51_PROJ_ID;

If I had all the records in this query, then get a list of e-mail addresses?

    Can what information I provide?

    Thank you

    Joe

    Hi, Joe,

It depends on what you want to do when no line is detected.

If you want that the function returns NULL if no line is detected, then simply:

    Email_address RETURN;

If you want the function to return a fixed string, then you can do something like

    RETURN NVL (email_address, '(aucune donnée trouvée) ");

Just what you want, you must execute a RETURN statement, so it would be unwise to put the RETURN statement in an IF block.

  • Addressing non-dimensional single MODEL?

    Hi all

    Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production

    Req:

I have a field with words in double as ' PRESIDENT; THE PRESIDENT OF THE EXECUTIVE; The "(séparés par deles de points-virgules) PRESIDENT, I need to remove duplicates from a line." I like 1 million rows to work on...
ORA-32638: Non unique addressing in MODEL dimensions
32638. 00000 -  "Non unique addressing in MODEL dimensions"
*Cause:    The address space defined for the MODEL (partition by and dimension by
expressions) do not uniquely identify each cell.
*Action:   Rewrite the MODEL clause. Using UNIQUE SINGLE REFERENCE
               option might help.
First time I use the model Dimension by
    SELECT   BIO, RTRIM (str_new, ';') new_str
      FROM   db_temp
    MODEL
       DIMENSION BY (0 dim)
       MEASURES (BIO, BIO || ';' STR_NEW)
       RULES
          ITERATE (1000) UNTIL (STR_NEW[0] = PREVIOUS (STR_NEW[0]))
          (str_new [0] =
                REGEXP_REPLACE (str_new[0], '(^|;)([^;]+;)(.*?;)?\2+', '\1\2\3'));
Any approach better to handle this kind of situation other than model Dimension by

Don't you have a unique ID column in the table?

In this case, all you have to do is to add a PARTITION clause:

    ...
    MODEL
       PARTITION BY (id)
       DIMENSION BY (0 dim)
    ...

If you do not have this column, you can also calculate an on-the-fly:

    ...
    MODEL
       PARTITION BY (rownum rn)
       DIMENSION BY (0 dim)
    ...

  • I have here a way to force the client to use a virtual IP address?

If a client makes a connection between a server where multiple IP addresses are active - is there a way to influence that one is chosen for outgoing traffic?
    Background:
The application is moved as well as its virtual IP address.
After reinstalling the "sender address" should be the same for the tcp.invited_nodes-based IP filtering.

    Thanks in advance!

Or boil down to the question: is there a function for connection sqlnet as "-b" for ssh?

Nope. Don't remember seeing such an option. Server side, this feature is of course available to bind endpoints tcp specific IPS.

Why exactly do you need this function on the client side? I don't understand the "+ the client connects using the IP addresses changing, even if the application is to have a virtual IP unique and constant. "This requires a source more open on the FW between DB and the customer as necessary +" problem you stated.

If the client opens 2 connections to the base, then it will be 2 connections through the firewall. As the private client port will be different for each connection and make the unique connection.

Now if these 2 client connection use IP1 and IP2 on the client for the connection, won't matter - as 2 separate connections will be created independently.

If for some reason you want to from the db server or firewall see these client connections entering as minimum IP sources - then you can do this by using a unique IP address for all incoming connections by NAT'ing.

You ask a NAT firewall (using iptables for example) and simply rewrite incoming IP headers for tcp on 1521 packets the IP NAT and transfer the package on the firewall/db server.

This server will see a unique client IP only for all inbound traffic. Works pretty well for Oracle that the client connection string includes the hostname of the client/hostid - so you can always in Oracle see what session is from a client who, despite all these sessions with the same source IP address.
