then I want to stop the service postgres with 'sudo serveradmin stop postgres' terminal response was the same error massage.

Is there anything I can do to stop and start the postgres service?

(MacMini Middle 2011 - El Captitan 10.11.3 - Server 5.0.15)

I have this too, same OS and Server version too.

Why do you want to stop and restart the service by curiosity?

    I have 5 Server freshly moved on top of Yosemite.

    I migrated Server 3 to 4 and now 5.  My sites all done.  My e-mail service is very good.

    I've never used the calendar service, and used to spam my system with Dingo errors log in Server 4.   I thought it would be fine in the Server 5 because 5 fixed issues for many in the nets here.

  • Ping localhost error general failure

    I started to have problems to connect to some services the on my my computer Windows 7 64 ultimate after update Microsoft Security Essentials Client and restart.  Hello, JungleDisk, and other services are running, but nothing can connect to them.  I took some sort of network problem and then noticed that when I ping 127.0.0.1, I get a general failure error.  All other network interfaces on my machine work very well.  I tried netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock reset and that did not help.  I scoured the internet looking for resolution without success.  It is at the origin of the critical problems on my machine and I want to do everything I can to avoid reinstalling Windows.  I also tried in safe mode without a bit of luck. Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Andrew

    I finally got almost everything works again.  It was, indeed, Microsoft Security Essentials.  I tried different ways to force the uninstall and only of Revo Uninstaller has finally managed to get to a point where I could reinstall Microsoft Security Essentials without getting the message that it was already installed.  After that my closure still does not work, but then I was able to run the Microsoft Security Essentials real uninstall without getting the fatal error.  After that, I rebooted, reinstalled Microsoft Security Essentials and rebooted once more.  After that my localhost address had returned and the majority of services is now available.  There are a few issues I have with my credentials of service postgres probably because of the many things I tried the week last to solve this problem, but I hope that this is not really a problem of difficulty.

    Thank you all for your help in this matter.

    Daniel,

    The problem is that you are using the ODBC Postgres driver for the HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME parameter, but this must be an ODBC driver manager and not the driver ODBC Psotgres.
    Go to the.

    http://www.unixODBC.org/

    Click the 'Download' and follow the instructions to download the 2.3.1 pilot and make libraries and programs.

    Once this is done, then use the driver as parameter HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME Manager, for example-

    HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME =/home/odbc64/unixODBC/2.3.1/lib/libodbc.so

    Depending on where you install it.

    Kind regards

    Mike

  • Error sending measurements: failed to contact Server

    I've been running Hyperic for about 2 months now pretty well. Recently however, I've been see this error on many of my servers customer:

    ERROR [SenderThread] error sending measurements: could not contact the server - there is no more free connections

    I can't identify what 'connection' is the source of the problem. I shrugged the connections to the BDD postgres integrated as well as the connection for the jboss service pool. None of these changes seem to alleviate my problem... Please help.

    How many agents do you use currently with, and how busy is the HQ Server?

    In this case, the agent tries to send back its measurements, but the server is currently busy processing reports of other officers.  The agent must recover from this situation, as long as other officers achieve their sending data and release a connection.

    If your environment is important, you may need to change the number of incoming connections of attorney who are allowed.  By default, this value is set to 25.  You can find this setting in:

    Server-2.7.3/HQ-engine/server/default/deploy/lather-JBoss.SAR/JBoss-lather.war/Web-INF/Web.XML

    Look for the org.hyperic.lather.maxConns parameter.

    Depending on how high you set this value, you may need to also up the number of database connections that you allow to the integrated database.

  • Not be able to reverse engineer the data store by using technology such as postgres

    Hello

    When I am creating a data store for postgres using reverse engineering process he gives error jdbc.

    Then we created the data store manually by using the same schema logic and used in the interface and it was working fine.
    It is not possible to manually create all the data store for postgres we need in my project.

  • Create a postgres with dg4odbc oracle dblink

    Hello

    I am creating a dblink from an Oracle (10.2.0.3) database to PostgreSQL (8.3.11) database with DG4ODBC (11.2.0.1.0).

    I installed the 64-bit driver postgres:
    file /usr/lib64/psqlodbc.so
    /usr/lib64/psqlodbc.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), stripped
    I am the /oracle/.odbc.ini configuration:
    [record]
    Driver=/usr/lib64/psqlodbc.so
    Description  = PostgreSQL ODBC
    Servername       = cdxlan035
    Port         = 5435
    Username         = rec_lct
    Password     = rec_lct
    Database     = REC_TEST
    I am setting up the /oracle/product/DG4ODBC/hs/admin/initrecord.ora like this:
    #
    # HS init parameters
    #
    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = record
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = 4
    HS_FDS_TRACE_FILE_NAME = /oracle/product/DG4ODBC/hs/log/hsodbc.trc
    HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME = /usr/lib64/psqlodbc.so

    #
    # ODBC specific environment variables
    #
    set ODBCINI=/oracle/.odbc.ini
    I'm the /oracle/product/DG4ODBC/network/admin/listener.ora configuration
    LISTENER_HS =
      (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
        (DESCRIPTION =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = cdxlan036.douane)(PORT = 1525))
        )
      )

    ADR_BASE_LISTENER_HS = /oracle/product/DG4ODBC

    SID_LIST_LISTENER_HS =
      (SID_LIST =
        (SID_DESC =
          (PROGRAM = dg4odbc)
          (ORACLE_HOME = /oracle/product/DG4ODBC)
          (SID_NAME = record)
          (ENVS=LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib64:/oracle/product/DG4ODBC/lib:/oracle/product/10.2.0/lib)
        )
      )
    I update my /oracle/product/10.2.0/network/admin/tnsnames.ora:
    RECORD2 =
      (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS_LIST =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = cdxlan036)(PORT = 1525))
        )
        (CONNECT_DATA =
          (SID = record)
        )
        (HS=OK)
       )
    Last I created the dblink:
    CREATE  DATABASE LINK "RECORD"  CONNECT TO "rec_lct" IDENTIFIED BY "rec_lct"  USING 'RECORD2';
    When I'm trying to choose my postgres database, it does not. Here's the /oracle/product/DG4ODBC/hs/log/record.log:

    Yes, you need to have a (psqlodbc.so) ODBC driver and the ODBC Driver Manager (very common name is libodbc.so). If you are absent Manager ODBC drivers that you find for example the unixodbc.org and once you have it installed you need to fix HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME to refer to the driver manager. The driver manager will check the file odbc.ini and according to the specified DSN, it will load your ODBC driver.

  • Insertion in Postgres via ODBC gateway

    Hi, I did a few tests, here are the questions and results:

    Postgres:
    CREATE TABLE t_dump
    (
      str character varying(100)
    )
    Oracle: [ORADB: db link to Postgrers]
    INSERT INTO "t_dump"@ORADB VALUES ('test');
    Works very well, both from PL/SQL SQL

    However:
    Declare
    m_str Varchar2 (10) := 'test';
    Begin
    INSERT INTO "t_dump"@ORADB VALUES (m_str);
    End;
    Gives me an error:
    Error report:
    ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-02067: transaction or savepoint rollback required
    ORA-28511: lost RPC connection to heterogeneous remote agent using SID=ORA-28511: lost RPC connection to heterogeneous remote agent using SID=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=DB)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=pg)))
    ORA-02055: distributed update operation failed; rollback required
    ORA-02063: preceding lines from ORADB
    ORA-06512: at line 8
    00604. 00000 -  "error occurred at recursive SQL level %s"
    *Cause:    An error occurred while processing a recursive SQL statement
               (a statement applying to internal dictionary tables).
    *Action:   If the situation described in the next error on the stack
               can be corrected, do so; otherwise contact Oracle Support.
    Dynamic SQL gives the exact same error:
    Declare
    m_str Varchar2 (10) := 'test';
    Begin
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE
    'INSERT INTO "t_dump"@ORADB VALUES (:v0)'
      Using m_str;
    End;
    Is it possible that I could use variables in queries?

    An issiue more:
    I created a table partitioned in Postgres and simple INSERT statement works well [SQL Oracle's]; However - the same statement, accompanied by start/end [PL/SQL] needs about 60 seconds to complete. Is this a normal behavior? Y at - it a config/pragma... I use to speed it up?

    Concerning
    Bart Dabr

    is the full path or you cut a few lines at the end?

    When you look at the link I see a column is bound without precision (LONGVARCHAR-1 Y 0 0 0 / 0 0 0 220 stringvalue)-this also happens when using the insert without a variable binding?

    Published by: kgronau on October 5, 2011 09:09

    I've created a demo table in a Postgres database:
    CREATE TABLE information_schema. "" VarBin ".
    (
    whole col1,
    col2 character varying (100)
    )
    WITHOUT OIDS;

    And my gateway to help insert links works:
    SQL > declare
    Number of m_nmbr (10): = 1;
    m_str Varchar2 (10): = 'test ';
    Begin
    INSERT INTO 'information_schema '. "VarBin"@postgres_dg4dd61_emgtw_1123_db (m_nmbr, m_str) values;
    End;
    / 2 3 4 5 6 7

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    SQL > select * from 'information_schema '. "VarBin"@postgres_dg4dd61_emgtw_1123_db;

    col1 col2
    ----------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------
    1 test

    What the version of the ODBC driver you are using and do the test using my script works for you?

  • The Rank function used in Evaluate-aggr in RPD gives error

    Hello

    The RPD, in my fact table for a logical column of MDB, I, EVALUATE_AGGR ('RANK () OVER (ORDER BY DESC %1 %2 PARTITION)' AS INTEGER, 'main'.) "' proj_date ', 'hand '. ("' project ')

    but in the responses when I use this as a filter and say equal to 1, I get the following error "window functions are not allowed.

    Thanks for your time and your help.

    Hello
    your syntax seems to be not wrong of course. Try again with the sum function

    EVALUATE_AGGR ("DB_Aggregate_Function (%1)', {comma separated Expression})
