Power supply and maybe of processor was updated. (Inspiron 531)

Achieve a power supply of 300 watt will be so not good for a 8800GT which brand of 450 Watt PSU do I need? Dell sell them or I will have to buy one from elsewhere, and once again is all universal size PSU?

With respect to the processor, I have an AMD Athlon x 2 5600 and think to upgrade one 6400 AMD or a processor 2.5 GHz Quad Core 9950 BLACK Edition of AMD Phenom X 4, suggestions what to get? Prefer to keep to AMD. So many questions lol. Thank you.

Edit: What the PSU would cost roughly?

  • Power supply and graphics card update

    Hello

I own a HP p6610f desktop computer and want to upgrade my power supply and graphics card.

    Power supply:

I saw recommended Corsair CX500 and I found a CX500M of Corsair for sale. I'm fairly certain that it will work with the graphics card, I'm considering the purchase. The CX500M would work with my device?

    Graphics card:

I have need later in the technology of graphics card but I still want to improve my current AMD Radeon HD 4200. I plan an AMD Radeon HD 6570 because it meets my needs and fits my budget. Would this work with my p6610f and a PSU Corsair CX500M?

If it helps, I want to update the graphics card to play some place the modern games (Assassin Creed Revelations and maybe Assassin Creed 3 on low heat) and possibly install a Blu - Ray player.

I ask because I can't seem to find an answer clear enough to calm my fears to ruin my computer if I go with these two options.

    Thank you!

Food: The CX500M of Corsair is a great choice and will definitely enter the computer.

Graphics card: you can get a Radeon HD 6670 for the same price as a Radeon HD 6570 and on a faster card of 20 to 25%. Or a little more money, you can get a Radeon HD 6770 and about 125% faster. In all cases, measure from the rear of the case further along the PCIe x 16 location plan. Just shy of an obstacle comes as long of a card you want.

    Hi guys

I have a HP-Pavilion VD012AA-ABU m9753uk with OS windows 7 ulitmate and I want to upgrade my graphics card to a Nvidia GTX 560Ti and I was wondering if this card would hold on my motherboard. I know that the motherboard has a PCI Express x 16 slot and be ok 1, but I don't know that I need to look at, I know there are several variants such as ATX and others because I have only a 300 watt power supply, I need to spend at least a power of 500 watts power however im don't know what connectors my computer has to power supply and what kind you provide and also is here a chance to overcharge me my other components such as my processor or CPU due to the increase in power as I currently have a graphics card Nvidia GT 220 installed if that helps at all

Here are the specs for my graphics card (http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-560ti/specifications)

also here are my computer Specs (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c01817967&prodT...

any advice you could give me the guy would be great I never made any changes to my computer with acclamations im not sure what to do

    Hello

Consult this publication document for more information.  Open your PC and measurement.  The NVIDIA 560 TI type is 9 "long.

I don't see a problem with the NVIDIA TI 560 and the m9753uk.

You will need a power of 500 watts.  The Corsair CX500 is an excellent choice.

  • New power supply and logic board?

I need to get a new power supply and the logic board put in my iMac - when I did, this is my iMac will be indented from the base/settings (i.e. will I need to put everything on my external hard drive to backup) or will all my personal data / records/work etc., always be on it?

All your data, applications, and settings are on the hard drive, if that is not replaced everything will be as it was. That said, you should always have a backup before you take your mac at home.

  • HP ENVY 700-527c: upgrading of power supply and graphics card, need help

You just bought a NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 970 4 GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card - silver/black for my HP ENVY, but the food I have in my computer does not support this graphics card. So I was wondering if I bought the Black Corsair - CX series modular CX750M 750W ATX Power Supply - if it could fit in my computer and function properly with the graphics card and all the rest of the computer.

Almost thought you made a mistake, but you do not have BIOS rev 8 because this unit originally comes with WIN 8. The GTX 970 attracts only 145W. Corsair CX750M is3.39"x 5.91"x 6.30".  It is profoundly in your case, without connectors.   You have so much room between the existing power supply and connectors for DVD?  NVidia recommends a 500W, I would say the 600W modular version.   Its depth is 5.51 ".

I heard that HP computers are notorious for difficulties in upgrading equipment thanks to the compact design the area.  What power supply and graphics card I should be able to use?  Information links and price would be very appreciated.

I use my LG HDTV 32 "as a monitor and my current graphics card allows me to connect using an HDMI cable and play movies blu - ray via my PC.  I want to keep this feature.

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready
    7. Efficiency rating
    8. Cost
    9. The physical size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths

www.Newegg.com has many choices of power supplies.  Corsair, OCZ, Rosewill, Thermaltake...

The amount of amperage + 12 volts is important when choosing a video card.  Depending on the size of the Cabinet from HP a 550-600 watt PSU should be plenty.  The NVIDIA GT 460 should be a good choice.

Ugggh.  I have a 27-inch iMac late 2011 and the hard drive was updated with a new SSD.  The integrated cd/dvd had to be taken out.  I then bought a thought of superdrive, it should work.  It's frozen on my iMac!  Gee, who could have possibly guessed that would happen?  I tried all kinds of silly workarounds, I found on the internet, but still it will not register the stack of DVDs and other discs I have.

If you're like me and upgraded your iMac that came with a cd/dvd drive internal... so he has to come out to give way to the fusion or the SSD drive, do NOT buy the apple superdrive.  It will work with your computer!

Think I'll get a laptop samsung...

Ironic, isn't it? Own Apple SuperDrive will not work with Apple computers. Shame you don't check here first that we would have warned you. Return Apple overpriced and buy a nice third-party player for a third of the price. I love the LG units. You can consider a loading plate because they are more reliable, and you can use these pesky disc when you get one.

  • Power supply and battery...

I've often used my laptop with power supply and the battery plugged in at the same time... Is this correct?... I confused the battery after charging or leave it in my laptop to go... I want to protect my battery so please tell me the right

    Dear med87,

    Welcome to Lenovo Community

Under the program of the energy that should come with the computer as a pre-installed program management, you must press (settings battery) then under the battery you should have called the battery Protection Mode, select it and press OK.

This Mode charger the battery Up to 60% and stops charging the battery, then it take its power from the charger, it's the best thing you can do to protect your battery.

Please try the computer, if you have had other problems, let me know.

  • MSE8000 power supply and current calculation

    Hello

Understand that there is a calculator tool to determine the power needed for your MSE 8000 chassis and blades.  The results of the calculator are running continuous and current.

How to determine the power and the current requirement in KT? Struggling to understand and enter the values for the effectiveness of rectifier.

    Thank you

    Best regards

    TF

Without the guarantee that this info is safe:

    I assume you are using:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/articles/mse_8000_calculate_power_current_requirements_kb_386.shtml

I think that Valere Power supplies have a return about 90% as the value of the example.

Suppose that several computer power supplies inefficiant down to 70%, this is what the power

supply consumes for himself (in other words to warm the room :-)

BTW, the amount of rectifier modules is what you need to start it, but to be redundant

you have the double amount, in the example below, it shows 2, but it should be 2 x 2, two for each grid.

    So with 1 x 8050 and 4 x 8510 and 90% you will get something like:

    The calculator results

The results are the following (values are rounded):

    Requirements Value
    Power (Watts) CC

    1800

    Continuous current (AMPS)

    38

    Number of rectifiers of Valère

    2

Results of the calculator for current alternative

Power supply and current results using the value of rectifier that you entered above, are the following:

    Requirements Value
    Power (Watts)

    2000

    240v PSU current (AMPS)

    9

    Current (AMPS) P.S.U. 110V

  • I want to replace the power supply and graphics card in my p6550z

    Hello

I'm looking to replace my power supply (BESTEC 300 watts) and the graphics card (ati radeon hd 5450). Here is a link to the HP page with my pc: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=4242359&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

The card I want to put is an Amd Radeon HD 6870. And I also want to put in a block of power SUPPLY Corsair 550 Watt.

They will work when I install them? (I'm actually a little nervous about the upgrade my power supply and graphics card since it is the first time I'm doing this) (I'm also nervous because I've heard many horror stories about upgrading an HP computer)

    Hello

There is a small metal tab inside (guts) on some models of PC HP adds stability to food. You'll have to push the tab down to get food out.  The link below will show this tab.

How to replace a power supply.

How to replace a video card.

Corsair power supply (psu) I used can be mounted with the fan facing upwards or downwards depending on where fresh air is available from. Some PC cabinets have mesh ventilation where the PSU Monte so the fan should face the ventilation mesh so that fresh air can be brought into the power supply and then exhausted at the rear. Some HP computers have slots to air ventilation through the upper edges of the flanks and in this case, the PSU is mounted to the top fan. Otherwise, the Assembly of the fan should be such that the PSU will draw air from inside the Cabinet.

  • Power supply for a better video card update! Help!

Thanks for looking at my post. I have a desktop PC HP Pavilion p6610f that runs on an operating system Windows 7 and Athlonll X 4 635 (P) 2.9 GHz (95W) processor. The office itself is really great, but I'm not able to run PC games so intended to update my video card. For this, I needed food uprage. It has 250 W.

So my question is, can I LEVEL MY POWER SUPPLY UNIT? and if I can, that one you offer me to buy. Please give me the link. I was looking for a 600 and more watt power supply.

    Thank you

    Nassik19,

Thank you for coming on the user forums. Given the simple request of a PSU 600 + W, here are some, with comments.

When you look at these, please look at the pictures of the label of power amps for the + 12V / real sustained power.

I'm looking at 650W-600 units, but the Corsair and Ocz remained depth 6.3 "in the case. In addition, the 700W units were a better deal.

  • Pavilion 6540y: the upgrading of power supply and graphics card

I need to update my graphics card. What is the best inexpensive card graphics and power supply to buy for my HP Pavilion 6540 Y. I use it mainly for work and graphic design. Currently, the stock video card doesn't have enough memory to effectively run Photoshop and painter with three monitors. Photoshop's request at least 512 M of memory for what I do, but I'd like to at least 1 GB. Sometimes I will have Photoshop and painter running at the same time.

    Hello

I love the Corsair CX500 or the 520w Seasonic because they adapt to the physical dimensions for your PC.

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston andCrucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

  • power supply and integrated graphics card upgrad

I have an a6767c of office with integrated graphics. I would like to upgrade with a good card modest price. Perhaps nivida 9800? also a new power supply would be advised that told me. I can spend about about 250.00 maybe more I can install myself. Thinking maybe 600 watt PSU? Im a bit new to pc, but learn quickly. any help would be great.

Corsair 400CX would be my 1st choice.  With respect to the GPU, I'd go with the Radeon 4770.  Measure the case to ensure that the GPU will adjust.  These Gumball HP is designed for browsing the web and light desktop functions.  You can migrate content to a best case (Antec 300).  Final cost will be always under $ 200!

    graphics card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121419

    they work on my desk?

    Thank you!

The graphics card will be fine, but the power supply may cause problems of space because of the type of power supply (non-modular).

The OEM case, you should look at modular PSUS. With modular units, you don't have to figure out what to do with all the extras, the unused connectors and wiring. Modular units you come a connectn those needed.

This OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Newegg should be perfect. I used power supply, OCZ for years and never had a problem. It is actually less expensive than the Corsair you asked.

  • System fails to recognize the power supply and will not charge the battery

Had motherboard replaced but, before that, I had tried a secondary power to check if my principal could be faulty.  Card mother equipped now and all working fine except that I can't get the sytem to recognize my main diet.  Battery won't charge and the system stops if I remove the power supply.  This is on a DELL XPS M1530 laptop.

    Thanks for all the ideas.

    Hello

Motherboard might not be properly installed or has problems - easy to miss a rider or
    any other connection as well.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this, if your battery is fine slots - just clean up the edges of the knife which fit in)
them and be careful). Batteries are old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%
However on a laptop that not extend their life a lot. Best is to use the a/c adapter
    When this is possible.

I use the free version of BatteryBar to monitor my battery. Click on the green button on the
