PR and SOUL 8.1.0 export H.264 Blu - ray creates malformed xmpses file

Posting this here at PR, but this applies also to the SOUL. The bug report has been coded to the SOUL. The only symptom may be import in yet. See the problem report and bug in this thread: Re: Re: still won't import markers with exit vid first through Media Encoder bluray

Bug report filed. This seems to affect Blu - ray H.264 exports PR 8.1.0 directly or through SOUL 8.1.0. It does not affect the MPEG2 Blu - ray. The only symptom identified so far is a failure of the files to import into Encore without deleting the file xmpses, which translates into loss of chapter markers. A possible workaround is to edit the xmpses file.

This has already been identified as a bug? Are there other consequences?

Hey Stan,

Yes, I spotted in our database. If all goes well, we should get a fix for this in the near future.

Stan Jones wrote:

The main problem is that if the user deletes the xmpses file, all data markers will be lost.

Hope that helps,

Kevin

  • Files using 24-bit audio and exporting to H.264 Blu - ray

    Hi all

I use a track 24-bit audio and I mixed with the video but when I try to export the movie using H.264 Blu - ray, the only option I see in Audio > sample size is 16 bits 48 kHz.

Cannot encode LPCM 24 bit audio first, or did I miss something?

If I check the properties of the WAV audio file, even from within the first, it's certainly 24-bit integer (little endian), stereo, 96,000 kHz.

Any ideas?  Am I missing something?

    Thank you

    Tom

I guess the problem is Little Endian PCM. Linear PCM is a Blu Ray specification, SD is much more efficient and allows for 16 or 24 bits LPCM 48 or 96 KHz. L (as linear) with 24-bit 96 KHz PCM is not supported by still/PR/AME.

  • Still no solution for the export of chapter in H.264 Blu - ray for import again error markers

Why this fix did not place in the recent update of the ORGANIZATION 2014.2?

I always get the error in yet that I can import the movie with chapter markers.

Is still what it means that we can no more use for authoring DVDs or Blurays?

Really don't like the deletion of the reference to chapter file to do this.

The bug seems fixed for me.

First of all, I've updated only SOUL 2014.2. I exported directly from PR 20141 and, as expected, the xmpses file is incorrect and import failed in yet. Export using the queue (and thus clearly the SOUL), export shows a xmpses file has been corrected and importation to works again.

Then I updated to PR to 2014.2. Now, direct exports of the PR also works.

I don't have test PR update and no SOUL, and which could be a different result.

What are your versions of PR and SOUL?

Edit: could not resist. Restored SOUL 20141 with the PR yet updated to 2014.2. Direct export of the PR work.

  • Next and Previous buttons do not work in a Blu - ray writer

I use Encore 5 and have created a blu ray player. In reminder, the when I preview the disc I see that all my menu navigations work fine, all my links of chapter work very well and once I start to play a chapter, the buttons previous and following in the preview screen work very well also, navigate to the next or previous chapeter as appropriate.

Then, I created a disk image and it burned to a BD - RE disc to test on my PS3. The disc turn and play very well on the PS3, except for the buttons next and previoud. Click on the next button, I get the message "this operation is not allowed. Click on the back button, I am stuck at the beginning of the current chapter, but he never goes to the previous chapter.

Still, I have a unique schedule containing a minute 15 film (m2v). I create 4 chapters in the film by inserting the points of capture and tied the end of each chapter at the beginning of the next. My first takes place at the beginning of the film, and all my menu buttons are linked to the chapters.

What should I do to make sure that the next and previous buttons work in a Blu - ray player? Is this a bug in the software?

    Thank you

linked the end of each chapter at the beginning of the next.

Why you do this? The typical method is not end these actions and the timeline plays through a different method is used to read the individual chapters, if you need to play alone and return to a menu. But if you want to play the next chapter, simply do nothing.

The menu is a regular menu or a popup? I understand that the first piece is your timeline.

For the record, I do not think that relevant here, but added CS6 bluray chapter playlist.

  • exporting h.264 no audio creates files that are not recognized in Quicktime or VLC

    Hi all

I need to generate h.264 with video files only. (short films for use with a "clickable" on an iPad catalog)

Used the 'H.264' category and choose a preset. Unchecked "Audio" so I only have the exported video.

The resulting .m4v file is not playable in VLC, Quicktime or MPEG streamclip.

When I go out audio compatible with the preset even, the file is fine, but as soon as I export without audio, the file is unreadable.

Original material is 422HQ ProRes, audio + video, long about 30-40 seconds.

    Clues?

I thought I'd save space by not including not not audio but apparently this is not possible.

It has been.  It's a bug introduced with the 6.0.2 update.

  • Best options to Export of first CC at CS6 Encore for creating Blu - Ray and DVD discs?

    Howdy!

I have files AVCHD (MTS) of a marriage, I recorded a couple of years (Yes, it is really low on the priority list), I want to change to create DVDs and Blu - Ray discs.  I am aware that I need to make some significant cut to get everything that I consider important to even together double disc DVD and have a lot more leeway with the Blu - Ray.  If I do the editing in Premiere CS6, I can use Dynamic Link to import several chronologies in my project again and (of course) to develop a Menu that the user can use to choose what they want to see.  Then again you can do transcoding with the timelines to get the videos to put them on any disc format created by me (DVD or BD).  HOWEVER...

If I edit the videos with CC PP (2015), I have the relationship dynamic to again (gee, thanks, Adobe!) and to each of my deadlines export to a file, load these in CS6 again and again, let the transcode various chronologies as the best it can to fit the desired output average.

So the question in all of this - what is the 'best' format to export CC PP for later import Encore CS6?

I can't use the MPEG2-DVD or MPEG2 Blu - Ray, because it assumes that each video is to use all the space available on the disk (same problem with H.264 Blu - Ray)!

All right now, I am limited to Codecs and presets available in first/Media Encoder programs.

I you'd be grateful for ideas on what could be the best (closest lossless?) format to use for the export/import of SD or HD videos!

    Thanks in advance!  {I hope the question makes sense...}

If you do not want to use mpeg2-dvd or mpeg2-Bluray (I prefer BD H.264, this is a codec better) you can export to avi with codec lossless Lagarith as UT. Also, you can use these HD codec. But these files are huge.

Can stick to mpeg2-dvd and BD preset and use a bitrate calculator to get the best fit on the disc.

  • Problem exporting H.264 and MPEG. Not even click on the menu.

    Hello

as stated in the title, when I try my sequence that I can't choose one of the following items in the export Format list:

    H.264, H.264 Blu - ray, MPEG4, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG2-DVD, MPEG2 Blu - ray

If I click on one of them, then just the previously selected item remains selected.

    Very weird...

Trial version? If so, what Adobe said it no MPEG in the trial.

  • SOUL Blu - Ray h.264 transcoding of 19 GB files.  Still showing project 47GB size?

I'm working on a blu - ray for the first time (he has worked only on DVD before) and when I finished the video files in the first, I exported with SOUL using it's built in h.264 Blu - Ray profile (1080i 29.97 FPS).  Resulting, audio, and video files were 19 GB in size.  However, when I imported as active in still, he says the project's 47 GB!  I have read around and found others mentioning a bit similar problems, but they were nowhere near the scale and do not appear to be the same problem I encounter.

The files are all automatically the value "do not transcode" so I'm sure he's not transcoding them trying, and I only have a timeline (I had read every line of the time creates additional multimedia files, IE: if I copy and paste a timeline with 10 GB of media, the second timeline will take 10 GB additional space on the final image).  So I have no idea how in the world he could possibly be coming with such a weird size for the project.  It's just at a few concerts, it is more than twice the size of the real media. I have no idea what is going on, but there is no reason I should have need of a double disc layer when blu - ray ready files are well below the size of disc single layer of GBs 23-24.

Someone at - it ideas?  Thank you!

Chapters are not a problem. Each video on his own script. Each end action of timeline of the "last menu."

A menu with a single button for 'play all' (links to a Playlist with each of the deadlines inside) and an a chapter menu button.

Chapter menu includes a button for each scenario.

  • Export of first for Blu - Ray DVD

    Hello

I'm done with work and it's on the first Pro CC 2015 timeline. I want to so I can go in again and do a Blu - ray DVD, export it

I export media, and then choose which setting for Blu - ray? What is the best. H.264 Blu Ray or MPEG-2 Blu - ray? Do I have to change any settings of anywhere to get it to be the highest quality as possible?

    Thank you

You want to use H.264 Blu - ray.   MPEG2 Blu - ray is based on algorithms of compression of 1994.

You can change the rate if you scroll down to the basic video settings pane, but you want to check a bite as rate calculator

If so, does anyone know the export settings to use?

N ° Panny BR players support all formats of TM700. Weird, but reality.

    Just use BR to export.

  • LG GGW-H20L ATA use to work now, does not burn and no formatting Blue Ray discs but a DVD.

I was burning Verbatim 25 G Blue Ray discs like crazy, as well as the monolayer regular and double layer DVD for more than two years and now it will not burn or format Blue Ray discs. It appears in my computer and it won't give me the options of the ISO image or Live to get in shape. I use both bury camera Panasonic and Adobe CS4 software.  I use only the part simple DVD sex the LG GGW - H20L ATA now. I tried several things here on the internet, but nothing works, nothing works yet. Even tried the new installation of Vista 64 and still nothing. I tried to reflash LG GGW-H20L-ATA with the same version of the software package.

Anyone has the same problem or a solution? I need Blue Ray for my video business.
