  Well as I groped my way through the development of BB... I find mysef to an another stumbling block.

  A few weeks ago, I had tried many of the sample applications that come with of various JDE.  Along the way I discovered the importance of the signing of the applications.  I got the signature keys required and had success signing my apps and their installation on a BB device.  It was a couple of weeks.

  Now, I'm trying to run my application and move of simulator device... that requires a signature.  When I try to sign the application, I get a message like:

  Unable to signatures asking until this application has been registreed with all the powers of signature required.

  After trying (in vain) to re - install the keys of my signature, I have started looking for help - and found a solution to this problem and thread.  Speicifcally he spoke of 3 files:

  sigtool. CSK

  sigtool.DB

  sigtool. Set

  That had to be installed in my JDE directory.

  Now the thing is that I only have the file "sigtool.set".  The other two are completely absent.  I did a search of file system in my 'RIM' subdirectory where all my JDE is located and only show the file sigtool.set.  I also have pores through my trash looking for other files.  They are completely missing in action.

  Things I have done in recent weeks couple including trying to get Eclipse (with limited success) environment as well as of abducting a number of packets of Simulator (in an attempt to address another issue that I have).

  So my questions are:

  How can I register my application? Can I somehow re - install my signing certificates?  How can I sign my applications?

  Well, I installed all 3 keys.  It wasn't the problem.

  Regarding the suggestion to contact BB support for new keys, I guess it works.

  However, I was able to recover the 3 files: sigtool.set, csk, db from my backup disk.

  Certainly never personally, I deleted these files in my JDE/bin directory (how would I know?).  I suggest you either when I ran "clean.bat" on simulators or when I removed distinguish it from Simulators have these files mysteriously disappeared.

  Fortunately, I do weekly backups and I have restored the 3 files from my backup drive for my JDE and am now able to sign the apps again

  It saids "without early DMF found" and is stop and exit installation of this hotfix.

  Now, I can't get the creator software dvd on my Satelite A-100...

  In my OS XP MCE early had a... DVD creator of Ulead DMF for toshiba (oem) and creator of sonic cd

  The fact is that both applications are part of the recovery image, and these applications are available if you plant only settings. They cannot be downloaded and installed as well.

  If you want to have them again, you must install OS using Toshiba DVD recovery.

  Sometimes patches seem to just have a hard time to proceed with the installation.  I have a fw for to look you at other things.  First of all, your Background Intelligent Transfer Services set to Automaticand started and Windows Update ? You can check these settings by typing services.msc in the search box of the start menu.

  Sometimes in order to get patches to install correctly, you must perform these tasks manually.

  (1) Download Center to visit Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx.
  (2) search for each update code that begins with the letters "KB" and followed by a set of numbers (i.e. KB979309).
  3) click on the link for the download and then click on download and run.  You must accept the agreement and then click on continue.
  (4) repeat this process for each download of updates Windows could not install.
  (5) to rerun the update from Microsoft, click find updates.  If all goes well, it will show that you are completely patched.

  If this does not work, try to run the Microsoft OneCare safety scanner.  Sometimes it will solve problems of hidden registry, or erase viruses can prevent the installation of patches: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm. Click full service scan, and then Quick scan (full scan takes a long time to complete). Try the patches.
