But not in OS X.

  And finally, 'get info' when I try and guess what: it shows the last open: January 1, 1970, at 05:30. which is never true.

  You can try to run first aid by using disk utility. I would start on the recovery drive to do.

  Restart the computer and hold command-R

  Also, once you have repaired the disk in the recovery drive, quit disk utility, then leave OS X Utilities and select "Choose Startup disk." See if the Windows partition appears here.

  Also, you should be able to open the first Pro CS6 via the Start Menu or by double-clicking on Premiere Pro icon in the creative cloud application. Open the button does not appear after the initial installation.
