Premiere Pro 11 - 17 hours to make a video for 1 hour!

I need assistance with this report.  I recorded an hour with a CANON VIXIA HF R700 class. I've added several effects for images, including color, stabilizing the chain and audio effects.  I have to make in order to see properly and now he's saying he'll take between 11 and 17 hours (depending on when I click render) to make this project, which obviously I don't have the time for. I don't want to mess up my computer.

Can someone help me please understand if it is a problem with the settings of the sequence, rendering parameters, or else I'm not aware of?  Codec project is:

The sequence settings are:

Here are the details of rendering:

I'm new to PP.  -Ish to the editing, so please be very detailed in your response.  I want to make with full previews, as I want this to be the file full resolution.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Expand comments of Jason - please read this info - Red, yellow and green make bars and what they mean. First area of work Pro

The only reason to "make" your timeline is to preview your changes - IF the video will not play back smoothly. That means that you have applied effects and want to see what it looks like, but he plays very jerky maybe - then you can 'restore' to implement green above these clips. Otherwise, don't bother with it. You can leave parts of the Red or yellow timeline and when you EXPORT, everything gets made at the same time at that time here.

The problem with the pre-rendering is the following: If you really want to use these makes prior to final export, you have to check "Use previews" in export settings, but the quality of these makes can be not so great that they often use "MPEG" for the preview format. Transcoding of will of final export to everything that you export to, so now you have compressed your source twice on the way to final destination. Better to make just once (to export), and then you go directly from SOURCE to DESTINATION format in a single pass.

I do not know what effects you have applied not to mention that the stabilizer still takes too long. What you need is a REFERENCE database. Put on excerpts from the source in a new sequence, NO EFFECT and export using the same parameters as you have tried. Do 1 minute and 5 minutes. How long does it take? Multiply to calculate how long an hour of material should take. Now compare that to the time, you were see, and you'll know how long 'making' add the applied effects.

I see this same "problem" displayed all the time, 'my rendering takes all day', and it is usually new users. They have no point of reference to previous experience. They load their first project with video effects DeNoiser and others, without realizing that the EFFECTS are what causes the problem. Just try a few video montages Plains once and see how long that takes to export.

The speed of storage can play a role as well. Adobe always recommends that you have a fast and dedicated drive for video media - keep on the system drive. It seems that you have a LaCie drive? How - what is connected? With the help of USB 2.0 would create a bottleneck, you want USB 3.0 or love at first sight for optimal performance.

Finally, please post a screenshot of your EXPORT SETTINGS Panel for review, it is often very revealing.

Thank you

Jeff Pulera

  • When I export a file in Premiere Pro AE, we export in a black video file. What I am doing wrong?

To give you an idea of what kind of project, I'm working, I did two characters in Photoshop and imported into After Effects. I did simple animations, some of them move and so on.

I wanted to export more in Premiere Pro to play with her. But when I did, it comes out just black. This is a video of two minutes of nothing. Just black.

What is going on? I feel like I'm exporting correctly but I can't understand what is wrong.

Oh, you're new! I highly recommend to go through something like that, first. He will be using AE a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating.

You can use Dynamic Link in first to import an After Effects project, but I find that it is much simpler to just an intermediate file (using a codec of production, of course) of the queue of EI and just import into Premiere Pro. In this way, you don't have to wait for first make the AE project every time. Popular intermediate codecs include Cineform DNxHD QuickTime with the PNG codec and QuickTime with the Photo-JPEG codec.

  • Capture VHS in Premiere Pro 2015, choose the option to capture video and Audio, doesn´t work!

I used the first Pro CS6 and Premiere Pro 2014 before capture VHS via a record JVC deck, but now, when I do the same process in Premiere Pro 2015, it captures only the video in the option Capture Video and Audio mode. The only way to capture VHS audio is her choose Audio separately, because in this mode, it works. But then I have to synchronize video and audio, and it is not the best option. I can´t find no reason or settings which differs before when it worked. Do you have any suggestions?

    I use Mac OS X 10.9.5.

Hello! I found the solution. The novelty in first Pro 2015 is that you mark a video and an Audio track to drag the material captured in the Timeline! Now, it works fine.

  • I paid but Premiere Pro CC 2014 is still "Trial" and asking for license key.

Please help - what is very frustrating and mediocre service / performance of the Adobe software. I have lost hours trying to solve this problem and can not understand. I paid for a monthly "complete" service, but the application of Adobe on my computer (Mac, OS Yosemite) behaves as if nothing has changed and always refers to down on the trials for other software as well. Have I just paid for nothing?

You have activated the CC once today, hope the problem is solved, yet, I want to mention that

The CC has not need any number of series, it is based on an Adobe ID.

In the case where you are prompted for the serial number then you can refer to.

  • Premiere Pro 2014.2 CC is not stable on my system

    Mac OS 10.10.1

I have problems with Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 that make it almost unusable on my system. All other software, including EI, hearing, prelude, Photoshop etc works well.

The symptoms, which are not specific to a project - but they seem to all effect are also: -

    (1) intermittently, I lose the ability to play clips or timeline. I can drag the playback cursor, but nothing plays, nor the spectator or program monitor change or update. I can't use the space bar to play, nor can I click the play with the mouse.  Each action requires a reboot.

    (2) out of the application, the Premiere Pro will not completely closed. It goes into a sort of limbo. The only way to stop the application must use the command force quit in the Apple Menu. Once the application has been forced to leave, it will not restart until the computer has been restarted. It will just bounce up and down in the dock and launch never completely.  The only way to start again is completely restart the computer. If the application has been left, when I shut down the computer, I get the spinning wheel for a very long time during the closing process, but the computer turns off completely on its own. After I restarted, Premiere Pro starts quickly.

    What I've done so far:

    The disk verified permissions

Run Disk Warrior on all disks.

    Premiere Pro ransacked preferences

Uninstalled the app Premiere Pro and then reinstalled a new download.

    My computer specs:

And I'm connected to 2 Raids of Pegasus Thunderbolt for the media.

    Any help much appreciated.

OK my problems disappeared when I transmit mercury not enabled. I use an AJA IO Express (in the office) or a T - Tap AJA (out of office) to connect to a monitor.

Once I had to pass mercury unactivated, first works catchy and smooth, no crashes or restart problems.

I see 22/01/15 AJA has released today a new driver package for e, s, KONA, TTap devices with a few CC Adobe fixes. I downloaded and installed, and so far (although it has only a few hours), everything seems very stable.

  • What size a SSD need me for media Cache in Premiere Pro

    Hi all

I wonder how great an ssd, I need for my cache of media in first pro. I'll just use the ssd for media cache and nothing else. What is usually a good size?

    All the best

    Kevin

    Interesting question.

It depends on how many times you clean.

If you are before an a whole project to a person of time as I am, and your projects are not two hours long feature films and you restore ove and above, then you should be OK with 256G.

I just looked and the file cache and preview my Premiere Pro are only taking up to 50 GB for now. (Half a dozen projects worth of cache)

My After Effects cache is only 35 GB. That said, I don't have to make my Premiere Pro projects very often because I try to stick to hardware accelerated effects.

  • Journal of legal medicine in Premiere Pro

I was sent here through the customer service because I had a survey about the features that I was well built in Premiere Pro. The Assembly line I do video requires a rigorous log of all changes made to the images and must be exportable in a kind of format. If there is nothing there I would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

There is no way to track that.

The Assembly line I do video requires a rigorous log of all changes made to the images

    It seems impossible.

Consider: I bring you in filename.mxf, sequence 01, that maps the filename.mxf codec. I can make a filename.mxf new, completely separate from the original, with highly modified images (replace audio tracks, remove segments)... all this without altering the original filename.mxf.

You can consider a manager of Production assets, which can track changes made to the managed assets.

  • Can you create a personalized DVD and author of a DVD menu using only Premiere Pro? (Adobe help said I could, but I find this may not be true)

I learned before download Premiere Pro, that I would be able to create menus personalized DVD and DVD author in Premiere Pro. I have now found through video tutorials that the only way they give instructions is by exporting and using again. I have not yet because the recall is not part of the help Adobe CC. !

You can always download and install the first Pro CS6, which includes still. Here are the instructions: CS6 still not installed with creative cloud

You can then uninstall Premiere Pro and keep still. There is no dynamic linking, but it should work fine with the author.

Depending on your hardware, you may have problems burning discs. If that is the case, use still to make an image (ISO) disc, then use ImgBurn, a free program, burn: the official ImgBurn website

  • How can I add files imported into sequences using ExtendScript connection of Premiere Pro?

I really want to know the answer to this... I'm trying to create a script (in ExtendScript for Premiere Pro) that will load into the specified video files, attach them to the specified start and stop time, place it in a sequence and then export the resulting film.

I understand that Adobe has no official documentation on the scripts for Premiere Pro, so I worked from the data (in the ExtendScript Toolkit or ESTK) browser and a collection of handy references I found to links like this:

    http://WEBCACHE.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://cssdk.adobesites.com/SDK/2.1/d ocs/WebHelp/references/csawlib/com/adobe/premiere/App.html

(You can replace the 'App' with other class names, but they must always be properly capitalized, as a 'Project' or 'TrackCollection'. Pages list properties and methods to the classes, and are the only place where I was able to find what kind of parameters/arguments methods expect.)

I loaded correctly in the CSV file that specifies the information required. I also know how to import video files and create a new sequence (as explained here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1177191). The pain that I am experiencing now is to get the imported files properly cut and placed in the sequence. (I see that the activeSequence has methods like setInPoint and setOutPoint, but that doesn't seem to translate into the correct trimming to export).

Here is my code (with comments to show the flow of the global script):

#target premierepro var myDir = "G:\\directoryWithVideoFiles\\"; // defined "indexOf" subfunction here // ***** begin main body of script ***** // (dataRuns has fields runName, startVideo, startTime, stopVideo, stopTime) // Import video files listed in dataRuns var vidFiles = new Array; for (i=0; i<dataRuns.length; i++) { if (indexOf.call(vidFiles,myDir + dataRuns[i].startVideo + '.MPG') == -1) { vidFiles.push(myDir + dataRuns[i].startVideo + '.MPG'); } if (indexOf.call(vidFiles,myDir + dataRuns[i].stopVideo + '.MPG') == -1) { vidFiles.push(myDir + dataRuns[i].stopVideo + '.MPG'); } app.project.createNewSequence(dataRuns[i].runName,''); } app.project.importFiles(vidFiles); // at this point, for each run (called runName) I need to: // - take a clip of the startVideo from the startTime to the end of the video // - take a clip of the stopVideo from the start of the video to the stopTime // - put clip 1 at the beginning of the associated sequence, & clip 2 right after // - export the sequence as a new video file

The example PProPanel shows how to import files and make the sequences. The missing part (from above) = there is no supported method for adding clips to sequences.

Tim, if you would, please write to me at my day job [b b b at adobe dot com] an overview of the workflow (s) you wish to support, and I can better frame.
