Premiere Pro slow on Yosemite?

Hello world

I don't know if this should be here or on an Apple forum.

I recently updated my iMac end of 2014 - purchased new in September - for OSX Yosemite. Since the upgrade, I noticed a significant performance with first drop Pro CC everything still seems to be blazing fast. I have the processor clocked at 3.4 Ghz, memory of fusion and GTX graphics of 780M, so I don't think it's a computer problem. The only thing I don't have is very vivid. Only 8 GB now. Could be the problem? I also use external drives USB 3.0 on the ports of 3.0.

The reading itself is not a problem. The main problem is that it is extremely slow to switch between sequences. I'm running a separate monitor, but have already tried without it. I tried with many of my projects and all my projects this anymore (mostly films of marriage). The problem is these same projects will work perfectly on my older machine, which runs the Mavericks. This is a 2012 model iMac.

East Yosemite my problem? I want to be sure, that it is the problem before I run a complete reformat of my system.

Thanks for the help!

I throw an update to this post for someone else who may have this problem. I returned my system back to the Mavericks (10.9) and the problem disappeared. Premiere Pro is running very fast, even when switching between the sequences. I don't know why this happened or if anyone else has noticed this problem, but for me, it was the resolve.

I hope this helps!

I saw a few discussions about this, but nobody looks a solid solution. It seems that Adobe said that the 2015.02 update should have corrected the error of memory leak, but I always feel the problem in the WRONG way. Work on a big project paid and my workflow is completely interrupted. Here's what I see:

When opening PP, my app memory occupies approximately 5 GB.

Then a few minutes, he jumped to GB 26 PP rendering unusable, forcing me to the force quit.

Here's a bit on my current project of PP:

I have about 22 footage with images of C100 and a mix of images and titles as fade in/out etc etc. With regard to the effects, everything I spent are some controls in the base (via Lumetri) color on adjustment layers. Each sequence has about 6 tracks. Quite simply the installation program. I should point out that I spent about 19 hours to cut images without any problems at all, which would lead me to believe there is a problem with leaking memory Lumetri (from what I've seen of other messages). I disabled all the tracks containing Lumetri adjustment layer, but I'm still having the problem.

    Hi Todd,

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

The 2015.0.2 updated addressed this question for some people and it is very unfortunate you are always facing it. I suggest you file a report bug here: bug report form

I understand that this is no solution to your problem but your bug report will help the team of engineering by identifying where the problem is.

In the meantime, you can try to work in a new user account and see if that helps.

  • What is the latest version of Premiere Pro, which is available for Mac OSX Yosemite?

    Hello world

We have yosemite of Mac OS x installed on some laptops. When we try to check the latest versions of Adobe Premiere Pro, we are only able to install Adobe first Pro CC 2015 version 9.0. What is the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro, which is available for Mac OSX Yosemite?

    Thank you

It would be 9.2.0 (build 41)

  • Premiere Pro extremely slow rendering/export time

Recently exported a 6 minute video and it took about 2 hours. Same file in another application (Camtasia) on my computer took about 12 to 16 minutes. Usually take 12 to 16 minutes in Premiere Pro, but lately, he has been extremely slow. Anyone suggestions? Anyone else having these issues?

    Hi TGthe1,

You never solved this problem? If so, let us know what has worked.

If you do not return, we will assume that you have solved the problem by activating the GPU acceleration in SOUL & Premiere Pro.

    Thank you

  • Premiere Pro 9.0.2 slow the South on every Mac.

In my studio, we have 4 Mac, two iMacs and Mac mini since last year full of aspects 2.

We did edit fine until 2-3 weeks when we installed the latest Premiere Pro. Now, we can not make a stable reading from the time line and it takes about 2 seconds to start video playback.

Very frustrating when you have a date limit every day at the end of the day.

We have a network very fast working fine, but now, not even with the files in the local disk, and I talk about 20 seconds files in HD I need just for playback in Premiere Pro by itself.

Can someone from Adobe fix this disaster? Can I resume a re install a first version you released by mistake works well?

    Ok.

Our problem is our network, we have two routers and one of them slowed down any (a signal noise).

The other thing you can do is remove the first cache generates, all of a sudden we had 300 + giga bites free hard disk.

  • iPhone 6/6 slowed down 240 fps movie camera. MOV clips play not idling in Premiere Pro - need help

I know it is understood to be in place before the slow movement in Premiere Pro. I have the clips that play very well at idle on the iPhone 6, but when I open the in Premiere Pro CC 2015 they play as normal videos without movement of slo. Can someone help me understand how to import and then get these clips to play correctly in Premiere Pro?

    TIA,

    Ken

1 try to import as always

2 Select the item in the project window / right click / Edit / film

    3. Select your work rate (i.e., 25 fps) (instead of the file frame rate)

4 drag the clip to the sequence

  • Premiere Pro CS6 is compatible with Mac OSX Yosemite?

    Hello everyone.

I would buy it, but first of all, I would like to ask if Premiere Pro CS6 is really compatible with my new Mac OSX Yosemite. If this was not the case, I would like to know what I'd do (before, during and after the installation, if possible).

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 installed on OS X Yosemite and many people use without problems. Your best option would be to use the first Pro CC or higher for flawless performance.

    Thank you

  • CC Adobe Premiere Pro export excruciatingly slow... Help, please?

Hi guys, the project of a school in a few hours and I have struggled with premiere pro for nearly 15 hours on a 15 minute video. It's pretty basic, a few images and pictures in 1920 x 1080, but for the life of me will not export this thing. It starts very fast but slows to a crawl and then curls up and stops. My system is not pulling punches: i7, 3770 16 gb 1600 mhz ram, k-2 x 780 ti. Any suggestions? I'm dying here.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help. I found the problem: Gaussian blur. I got a clip that was about 3 instances of Gaussian blur, adobe was very unhappy about it and refused to make this (even after a line of four hours , he was stuck). If someone experiences this problem, check if you have consciously or inadvertently stacked Gaussian blur.

  • Premiere Pro performance suddenly slowed to be almost unusable, even for simple projects

I'm running latest Premiere Pro update on a late 2013, 27 "iMac, with a processor 3,4 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8 GB of RAM, Mac osX version 10.9.5.  I know this isn't a lot of RAM, but until last week, or so I was able to amend a 4 K an hour with this configuration, as long as I ran the first session in resolution of 1/8.  He dropped some frames if I tried to play a long piece of it without stopping, but it is achievable for editing purposes.  But in the last days, the session has slowed to the point where he begins a picture of serious loss from the time I press play and is basically unusable.   He deposits also audio, and I can hear readers clicking frantically as soon as I touched the game.   My support is on 2-TB G - readers connected through USB3.

    What I've tried so far...

-Ran the diagnostic on readers and it found no errors.

-Tried to link the project the identical files on the backup drive.  The same problem.

-I made that energy saver settings of my Mac have been fixed so that readers will never sleep.

-J' deleted all media caches and the preview files of first that I could find.

-J' I reset the privacy settings of Spotlight so that they index not only some folders on the internal drive and external drives.

-J' made sure that I got to spend the maximum memory (6.5 GB) at first.

-Finally updated my software to the latest version first.

None of these things made the difference.

    - Then I thought that maybe the session came from is too big and bloated for my system to handle.   So I made a new project and import a simplified version of the only sequence that only refers to some of my files video color corrected.  This way I don't have to have an external drive connected and the session refers to much smaller files.  Still no improvement.

-So, I tried an experience where I made a whole new project and sequence.  I imported only 5 video files in it.  The biggest file less than 3 GB.  (I do Protools editing on this computer with files much larger than this, on the same type of readers extermal, without any problem at all.)  With only a single 5 video (and audio) in the timeline panel, it always starts up frames after about 2 seconds.  If I put another clip of 5 seconds in the timeline, the abandonment of the frame gets twice as bad.  If I try to put a video on them crossfade, playback becomes jerky that is very bad.

So basically, I started to be able to change a 60 minutes long 4K video project with video transitions, and multiple video and audio tracks.  (It was not perfect, but it is achievable).  And now all of a sudden, I can't play a whole new session which has 5 small video clips in there and not audio.    This isn't just my project or sequences that are the problem.  First just seems more to be able to access and read my media with any speed.

What Miss me?  Can you give me some additional suggestions to try that I have already mentioned above?  (And Yes, I know that many of you guys probably consider my hardware configuration completely insufficient for what I do, and you're probably right.)  But it did work pretty well for me up to this point.  I'm so close to the end of my project and I'm really just trying to get back to functionality, that I had a week ago, so I can finish).

I would like suggestions.  I feel like I'm running out of things to try.

After a lot of troubleshooting, it seems that the problem is related to the corrected version of the color of my video not being able to reproduce quite quickly.  While my system had no problem with the camera raw 4K files, the number of colors increased color corrected Pro Res versions are just too much for my readers to read in real time, even at low resolution.   Unless I want to do considerable ameioration (which I did not), the solution is to keep my color corrected without video corrected colors stacked on each other in the timeline and to turn off the video track containing the color corrected ones.  Of course, I can turn the color corrected piece when I need to check something with it, but for the playback feature when editing, I'm limited to files camera raw.

He is obviously an imperfect solution.  But because I'm basically done editing and just need to do some title and a small cut, I can finish the project works this way.

By the way, technical support suggested major improvements to my memory and video cards.  But if I were to try to resolve this further, I would upgrade to a better system RAID before I would make additional upgrades on my mac.  It feels really more likely it is the main issue here.

  • Premiere Pro CC (V.8.0) slow and crashes during playback

    Question:

Premiere Pro CC (V.8.0) extremely slow and crashes during playback. My video will not play unless I make (which is not a problem). I made all my clips and try to read. It usually allow me to watch the first time around. After that, the program hangs or becomes extremely slow. I even had a blank green screen pop up on my screen. Sometimes, the program will generate the message "a serious error has occurred" and stop. Other times, the program just locks himself. I'm not under all programs except by email.

    Here is what I tried:

    Cleared all my cache files

The value of my reading of mercury 'software only '.

After doing the above, restarted the program and the computer.

Don't made sure I had no RGB curves effect (as I saw it was a question of other threads)

    Remove all unused images

Delete all files rendering and a new rendering.

I'm editing of images requiring a Ultra key. I use a Three-Way color corrector. My video is not even 1 minute long, so I think it would be easy return and reading.

Here's what I'm trying (I know I need an upgrade - hoped after this client project):

    MacBook Pro 2008

Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Memory 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB

  • Slow playback in Premiere Pro CS4 (how to reduce res preview?)

Hi everyone, I was just wondering how to reduce the resolution of the reading/preview while3 editing in Premiere Pro CS4? I'm editing 720 p video (.mov format, that's what my camera takes pictures, so I don't think I can change that). All I see when I right click in the source monitor is "quality > high, rough, automatic. Is there anything else that I can choose? (kind of in aftermath, where you can set it to 1/2, 1/4, etc.). I searched the internet for the better part of the day and what I found is that 'quality' menu I mentioned earlier.

It is always very slow to look on the 'project', and it doesn't look like it's much more of a difference in quality. Now, my laptop isn't exactly the rendered beast that I wish it were, but it can handle 720 p [slowly] in after effects so I think it should work first too.

    Thank you!

PS: Anyone of you experts think it would be a good computer for NLE / rendering of effects?

    http://www.TigerDirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7192259 & SKU = B69-1277

CS5 offers specific options like 1/2 and 1/4.  Earlier versions offered only full, project and Auto.

A new computer is probably in order.  Your link isn't a bad option.  (Even if you need to add at least two drives more.)

  • Slow rendering in Premiere Pro CS4 (with a fast computer?)

Hello people on the Adobe Forums,.

I hope someone can help me with this issue, it has been bothering me a very long time now and this week I have to make a decision, or solve the problem and keep this configuration, or spend the money for a new processor (i5 750) and a new motherboard. But I think that this computer must do better, then he doesn't. I have the following configuration:

    AMD Athlon X 2 4600 +

    NVIDIA GeForce 7800GTX

    2 x 1 GB memory OCZ (250 mhz, DDR, PC2400)

    Storage disks:

Seagate 320 GB SATA (7200 RPM, I think)

WD 74 GB SATA (10,000 RPM, OPERATING SYSTEM)

Hitachi 500 GB SATA (7200 too, I think)

WD 1 TB (SATA) USB (hdd extern)

WD 250 GB SATA (7200 RPM, I think)

So I don't understand the problem, first is very slow on my computer... Rendering of a piece of 5 min of just a film randomly takes like 3 hours! Just now, I found some things that I shot with my cell phone, it like 10 sec 1 frame! On most pc with this vice versa!

So the cpu is not only the former and nor is the video card, meaby memory is a bit weak... Could it be the problem?

Hope that people can you help me, I searched Google and all but impossible to find someone with this problem...

    Software list:

    -Windows 7 complete edition

    -Adobe Premiere Pro CS4

Drivers are, as far as I know, to date, I've updated Adobe programs also...

Describe the source material, Codec: XDCAM-EX (mp4) movie

But as I said, it happens too avi too, he thinks it was DivX...

I bought this used pc, so it could be that something in the processor is already broken and I don't notice all the... I searched like everywhere and also tried to reinstall the program, but that does not work either...

    Marinus,

My compliments on the way in which you have documented your problem! Very, very good. I wish that more people would take your example.

Unfortunately, as you can see from the results PPBM4, your PC is a serious lack power. About 80 times slower than the top ensuring an and more specifically on the MPEG encoding. This means that, with your XDCAM, your machine hardware fights like h * l to get anything it to be delivered. Even with SD AVI material, it would be a struggle with these specifications.

The only solution I see is to get a new machine. To get a rough hint of what you face. Watch Adobe Forums: how to build PC? and realize that the version of the budget is the minimum for DV and HDV, possibly material from XDCAM-EX, but for AVCHD and DSLR equipment you would not drop below the economic model. In addition, if you go to the hyarware forum and press the "View" tab at the top of the page, there a dropdown menu with several items that might interest you. http://forums.Adobe.com/community/premiere/hardware_forum?view=discussions&start=0

BTW, on your new system you want to clean. With all the running processes, it adds to the burden and you could do with much less overhead.

  • Why is-Premiere Pro CS5 slower on my system than Premiere Pro CS 4?

I just upgraded Production Premium CS4 Production Premium CS5.  Have Windows 7, 64 bit OS, 9 GB ram,

Processors Intel quad I-7 (over clocked to 2.90 ghz) 2.67 with hyperthreading.  I have nothing of any real substance

running on my system in addition to Adobe.  I've just loaded in a ton of DVC PRO HD 60 images and am editing 30 minutes

program.  Once I am in Adobe first Pro CS 5, it works quite well, everything works well in real time.  However, the time

I click away from Premiere Pro as on my desktop, then try to click back in the Premier Pro, my screen goes white, Premiere Pro says

"do not answer" in the title bar and everything freezes for a solid minute.  4 CS do not at all.  Anyone know what is happening?

    Eddiem TKS.

The goal is to help and solve problems for all parties involved so that we can all be more productive.

I never said or implied at all this:

To say there is no problem with CS 5 software is just ignorant happiness and to be honest, deteriorate distorted.

So... I'll put this another way for you then.  I will not have any issues that you and Sacha face with P2 files in particular.

They review they rank, export etc...

I have an ongoing project that has 54 GB of mxf source files.  Not a question that sounds like something that you mentioned above.

It's a lot of files or a large project... I don't know compared to your projects... but combined with mixed graphic files more seq TIFF and tgas, wavs more notice of AEFX... it certainly adds to the top in my system.

My material is not super computer. This is not even a system RAIDed.

Must report... I go really far, or, to and from something else that applications of the Adobe Suite in my Suite CS5 but often many of them are open at the same time.

I had a system glitch that caused 'go a little sleepy' apps, when left UN attended.  It was an advanced power management framework. (some what hidden)

I also have a NAS, but this isn't for editing where to.  IT has Media Junction in my configuration between suites for the file archive and transfer only.

Re: Why is-Premiere Pro CS5 slower on my system than Premiere Pro CS 4?

My experience is that I said previously.  CS5 is much faster than CS4.  I suspect that many others have a similar experience to mine.

So the question you guys are seen as being a little more unique to yourself.

    Good luck

  • Premiere Pro incredibly slow loading files

Hey everybody! I hope you can help me with my problem here.

Since the update for first Pro CC 2015.3 saw a huge drop in my internal hard drive to sata-3 loading speed.

Before the update I have trouble using FullHD, video files, so I have no quick idea how it was before. But now the reading speed caps at 10 MB/s for Premiere Pro.

I've done various benchmarks with the hard drive to verify if there is nothing wrong, I may have missed but all up to writing of 140MO/sec and 160 MB/sec in reading. So it doesn't seem to be something wrong with the hard drive.

No other product Adobe has also this problem. Once I'm done with the horrible cutting procedure and exports the final project in media encoding I get again until the way more than 100 Mbps. If at least the final rendering is fast.

Anyone know what could have caused this huge drop only in first pro?

    Thank you very much!

Okay, removed to Premiere Pro with all my personal settings and reinstalled fresh with the new version that just came out today.

So far, he's rolling again as before. Seems there's a bug or something in there that my system didn't like only.

I conciser this as resolved now. Some answers were found why Premiere Pro reacted in this way. New installation (with the most recent version) was the only thing that helped.

Thanks a lot for your help! Jim_Simon
