Preprocessor in BB Eclipse Plugin 1.1

Custom preprocessor definitions do not seem to work in BB Eclipse Plugin v1.1

I managed to get the precompiler to work properly in my new configuration, but all sets are ignored, except those provided by the environment.  Here is a code sample showing what I mean:

I used it since 1.0 and the best way in the 1.1. Works fine on 4 of my projects.

  • Is there an Eclipse Plugin for WebWorks?

    Hi all

I'm new in the development of webworks. I want to know is there a webworks eclipse plugin.

I want to know what IDE I preferred to work on webworks.

In the past, there was a WebWorks Eclipse plugin, but as far as I know the development ended late 2011. For now, WebWorks mainly use Web technologies, you can develop in the text editor of your choice.

Some days ago, there was another discussion about the IDE other devs in the forum work with, maybe you want to have a look here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/why-bb10-do-not-provide-ide-for-...

To get started with development, you need to install the SDK WebWorks , you want to develop for (SmartPhone, PlayBook, BB10) and The Extension of Ripple Chrome for debugging and testing.

  • "Error starting Module not found" add external jar to eclipse plugin

    Hello

I use the eclipse on Eclipse 3.4 plugin

    BB JDE 4.5

    8300 Simulator

I'm trying to run a Midlet that sucessfully runs in eclipse for another smartphone (Samsung).

The project compiles fine, but when I run it in the BB Simulator, it gives me the error:

"error at startup MyApp: Module ' kxml2 - 2.3.0' not found."

I added a jar for kmxl in the form of external jar file.

Sometimes it get lost, don't know why. I had to add the jar file several times because once so that it cannot compile and it disappears from the list of libraries.

In any case, the major problem is that he cannot run in the Simulator.

I found several posts with the same problem, but the solutions they gave are JDE, not eclipse plugin.

These solutions were to create a new project, made a library of BB and understand the project as a dependency in the main application.

But how to solve the problem in plugin eclipse?

Why add a pot as an external library is not enough?

Why get lost from time to time?

If we are to create a new project (it seems excessive to me thinking) how can we define everything in eclipse?

    Thank you

  • Eclipse, plugin, found no BB JDE entry point

I don't see that I left something out of my Java code.  Also, I tried to find where the appeal of CAP is defined - can someone please point me in the right direction.

    I'm under Eclipse 3.4.2 and 8300 Simulator.

FYI, I did an uninstall complete re - install Eclipse and the JDE plug-in and now it works fine.  I had prviously installed in are, unrelated with folders and also in the path of the users folder then maybe it had something to do with it.  This time, I installed under a dedicated path of BlackBerry and everything works fine.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

I think I should download and install download the update of the software for the BlackBerry JDE v4.6 Eclipse component Pack

Yes, install this will give you the opportunity to develop using version 4.6.0 of the whole of the BlackBerry API and use the BlackBerry Simulator "BOLD" within Eclipse.

  • Add JDE existing Eclipse plugin?

Is there a way to inform the Eclipse plugin on an existing installation of BlackBerry JDE? It seems only to be aware of the d or packages of components installed after the plugin is in place, and I can't find a way to tell it to browse or search for others.

No, this is not supported.  The BlackBerry component Pack Plug-ins for Eclipse are used within Eclipse and not existing BlackBerry JDE facilities.

  • CAP and images in the construction and the line of command vs eclipse plugin

    Hello

I tried to get the CAP to compile our project from the command line with a lot of frustration.  All I want is a COD compiled with images (/res all inclusive)

First of all, the eclipse console output doesn't seem to work exactly when run from the Windows command line, so there are many more things in the background that makes the plugin.

    It's the console output:

    C:\development\eclipse-java-galileo-SR1-win32\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.21\components\bin\rapc.exe codename=deliverables\Standard\4.5.0\WCUL deliverables\Standard\4.5.0\WCUL.rapc -sourceroot=C:\development\blackBerry\workspace\Azimuth\src;C:\development\blackBerry\workspace\Azimuth\res;C:\development\blackBerry\workspace\Azimuth\test -import=C:\development\eclipse-java-galileo-SR1-win32\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.21\components\lib\net_rim_api.jar;..\MobileDBLibrary\deliverables\Standard\4.5.0\mobileDbLib.jar;..\MicrologLibrary\deliverables\Standard\4.5.0\micrologLoggerCore203.jar;..\AnalyticsLib\deliverables\Standard\4.5.0\flurryAgent12.jar C:\development\blackBerry\workspace\Azimuth\bin

Basically, which resembles CAP is executed on the precompiled classes.  This runs directly from the command line in the same environment:

    ...
    Warning!: No entry points found
    Optimizing
    Populating
Warning!: No definition found for exported static routine: .main(String[])
    No errors.

You get a COD in the output directory, no JAD and trying to load on the device is not successful (app does not seem to be on devicejava)

Many positions and from my own experience, it seems that the CAP removes all the binary images even if they are on the path (import, sourcelist, etc.).

    I tried a workflow to:

    * compile sources (javac)

    * pot of classes and resources (images)

    * preverify jar

    * the cap on the jar

This seems to work well, but running on the device - with all the loaded libraries - returns

    Error starting :
Module '-1' has verification error 421 at offset 42e6

This jar compiled Cap (checked all resources of the pot) does not contain any class - just the COD files - that is an anomaly of the release of eclipse Cap pot.

Somehow the eclipse plugin Gets a sliding Cap compilation successful with the resources at the right time.  I would like to know how.

    Thank you

PS I tried this with bb-ant-tools and command line.  about 1000 permutations of all the above

I couldn't get the jar solution works, but it's basically what I was doing with rapc.exe.

However, this post, has helped tremendously:

    http://codeforfun.WordPress.com/2008/10/05/How-to-get-images-in-your-cod-for-BlackBerry/

So, after a few violin, I have all workers:

    • compile with Cap
    • pot update
    • compile with Cap
    • sign
    • updated jad (I have other libraries, use a macrodef here)
  • Eclipse plugin not walk when not step over after the breakpoint

I run my application in the Eclipse debugger and hit a breakpoint. When I hit F5 or F6 to step over to rush in (doesn't really count) breakpoints are not executed. Sometimes I can hit ctrl-R to run a line. Code works fine when you are not debugging, or if I tap F8 CV with breakpoints, disabled or deleted. I'm under Eclipse 3.4 BB JDE plugin 1.0.0.67 and the component Pack 4.5.0.16. I can interrupt threads, see the stack traces, inspect the variables and all that stuff. My problem is that I can't get into or step over after hitting the first breakpoint.

I have only one project in my workspace. I ran clean.bat. I'm manually switch to the Debug perspective to launch the debugger.

    Ideas anyone?

Ran the app with only the main message enabled (base HellowWorld app) loop and the problems remain.

Recreated the project in JDE 4.7 and everything works great.

People... the Eclipse plugin needs to work [smile].

  • Eclipse plugin problem

    Hi all

I was faced with a problem with the plugin for a while and I can't solve it.

The problem is any program that I run in the Simulator works in the start. To eliminate the complexities, I created a new project and just have the demo of HelloWorld HelloWorld class as the source. Still, it runs at startup.

I rechecked the file Blackberry_App_Description.xml. Auto-run at startup is unchekced and it does no entry in the "alternate Entry Points" either.

    Here are some details:

    Eclipse - 3.5

    BlackBerry Java SDK - 5.0

    Eclipse plugin - 1.1.2

    BlackBerry 9550 Simulator

    Thanks in advance.

I found my problem with always updated application running.  Found on another thread here.

If you go to the Debug Configurations there is a simulator tab.  There is a text box with the title

Application or URL launch at startup.

Make sure it is empty.  Hope that helps, this has been driving me crazy.

  • IntelliSense in JDE and Eclipse PlugIn

Newbie here! I need to develop to the 5.0 platform. I downloaded JDE for 5.0 and got example HelloWorld working. My previous 2 years were with Eclipse so after a lot of frustration, I have Eclipse Helios working with the pack 5.0 component. But I noticed on the JDE and Eclipse that intellisense does not seem to be available / work. In other words, if I type:

    Dim myString As String = "";

    int myInt = 0;

    myInt = myString.

I'm expecting the IDE to display the methods available for the String object immediately after my typing of the period. Do BB d and Eclipse Plugins support this, and if so, any idea why this doesn't work?

    Thanks in advance!

In JDE, go to Edit/Preferences/Editor/semi-automatic and select:

    Include the java.lang.Object methods...

Not sure why this is not however the default value.

In Eclipse, it seems to work, but I don't know why (I won't change anything).

I'm good to go for now!

    TX for the ear!

  • where is the old version of eclipse plugin

due to the intensive use of the developer site, I can't find the previous version of the eclipse plugin. I need version 4.2, but developer site always and always shows me the latest version. is there any body know location of all the plugin list? or delete site?

and it's so funny that there are no pages that show all the resources available download.

Yes, you will need to compile it with the jde 4.2 If you want to run on 4.2 devices.

  • How to install the SDK on 4.6.1 and 4.7 in the most recent Eclipse plugin version 1.5

    Hi all

I installed the 1.5 plugin Eclipse and found that RIM has removed 4.6 and 4.7 of the Eclipse update site i.e SDK http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.6/java.

So how can I develop applications targeting OS versions?

I downloaded the component modules 4.6.1 and 4.7 of the download page (http://us.blackberry.com/developers/javaappdev/javadevenv.jsp).

If the component pack is in .zip format, I know how to install them.

Given that they are .exe files, wondering how to install these packages in Eclipse plugin?

    Thank you

    -Nag

Version 4.6.1 and 4.7.0 4.6.0 is longer supported as Eclipse plug-ins.  Any BlackBerry Smartphone running these versions of the software can upgrade to version 5.0.  Pre 5.0 also has very little activity App World, as shown in the stats here: https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/devzone/appworld

If you do not need to target for a specific reason, you can create using BlackBerry JDE.

  • Other Application CLDC & Eclipse Plugin Entry Point.

I'm create a listener in the background to update a GUI application and using Eclipse & plugin.  I don't see how I can change the type of request to be acting CLDC application Point of entry using Eclipse.  Does anyone know how to do?  I can create 2 projects of blackberry, but trouble doing that Im having a reference others even when I select project references.

    Thanks in advance.

To change this right-click on the project and select Properties.  Then click on the BlackBerry project properties and select the Application tab.

Note that the alternative entry point option is not available if the project contains all the java source files added to it.

  • Including external containers in a compiled file cod w / Eclipse plugin

I am trying to include a jar in my application using the Eclipse plugin.  I looked around forums and so far I got mixed messages.  On the one hand, there is a KB referring to the addition of a jar in an application in the present case:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800901/How_To_-_Compi...

The original thread (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=java_dev&thread.id=6403) referred to in article, but response from the MSohm said then that it is not possible in eclipse still to include 3rd party jars in the application.  It was a few months ago and I was wondering... What is the authoritarian response?

Personally, I was able to relate the pot in my application in Eclipse (make the pot its own project and have a dependency of project on this issue) and the Simulator successfully to recognize that the two projects/modules are present.  However, once I have create the cod for my application file and load it into my device (via javaloader command line method), the dependent project was not deferred.  It seems that the Simulator just starts up two 'projects' but is not really associate them in the file of the Cod.

To answer my own question: the mistake that I did, it was that I was without specifying the COD files in the form of RIM-COD-URL-#. After the have rewritten the JAD file accordingly, everything worked fine.  Here's a quick example provided by Eric Giguere.

    MIDlet-Version: 1.0.0

    MIDlet-name: My Silly App

MIDlet-Description: wish he would do something
MIDlet-vendor: RIM should buy us fortunes, Inc.

    RIM-COD-URL-1: library1.cod
    RIM-COD-size-1: 15088
    RIM-COD-URL-2: library2.cod
    RIM-COD-size-2: 7963

    RIM-COD-URL-3: sillyapp.cod
    RIM-COD-size-3: 41923

    Hope that helps.
