Catalogue presentation seems to be reset or deleted and customer reports have been lost. Y at - it anyway to restore or retrieve lost reports or dashboards in this instance. Have tried the S_NQ_ACCT in the monitoring of its use.

He had arrived at your end too :)
I don't think we can get that back. You could get after a follow-up period of usage not sure exact interval.

  • OBIEE presentation catalog records relationship

    Hi all -

Is it possible to highlight from presentation catalog records of their relationship?

    For example:

If we have 5 records catalog:

    A

    B

    C

    D

    E

    A is attached to the B & C records...

If a user select a field in a record, can, we highlight the B & C records that are related to A.  This will help users make Ad hoc communications.

Can you please help me in this?

    Thank you!

Use custom Description function. When the mouse on the file, it will be the show "Table A is related to B, C" like that.

Presentation catalog are announcements on domain even after removal of the catalogue to the RPD.
I restarted the oc4J server too

Please make sure that you have saved in the repository or not.

Then restart the presentation services i.e. Server & server OBI

  • Error creating service Bi presentation in obiee (11.1.1.3)

    Hello
    I'm using Jdeveloper (11.1.1.5) and OBIEE (11.1.1.3)

I created an ADF application in Jdev and when I try to create a presentation of BI services I receive the following error message.

    *"*
    * Connection attempt failed.*
    * java.lang.RuntimeException: failed to retrieve the connection token. This version requires a version of BI that implements the SOAP version 7. Please make sure you use the right time of BI
    *"*

the creation of the presentation to jdev (11.1.15) service only works with OBIEE (11.1.1.5) and not OBIEE (11.1.1.3).

    Help, please!

    Vinciane,

The SOAP out with OBIEE 11.1.1.3 interface is the version 6 (v6) as you can see from its WSDL URL.

That would leave only one of the SOAP out with OBIEE 11.1.1.5 interface as version 7.

  • URGENT: Lineage OBIEE Reporting

    Experts,
I need to generate a report in the answers that will show me the following information:

Respond to request/report name, answers, answers Folder Name column, column DB, name of the DB Table name.

In Oracle Discoverer, there is the business district Admiinstration EUL, who can do something like this, but don't know for sure if OBIEE has something like that. Any useful info on this is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

First of all, I'm not sure why people think put URGENT in the title, we look at this thread before the others?

You google OBIEE lineage reports? You fully understand the components of presentation Services and BI Servef?

What you need to do is run an export of the Documentation of the repository of the administration tool - this will give you Phyiscal layer thanks to the thematic mapping (presentation layer).

Then run an export of reports catalog manager in your presentation catalog, you can remove all the attributes of a request for responses given you asked, you can run a dashboard report since catalog also Manager if you want to look further.

Once you have the two outputs, I suggest you that you load them into a database table, so you can reach them effectively, their model in your SPR and you have your equiverlant to the Disco EUL Admin layer.

    Hope this helps,
    Rgrds

  • Cannot delete a catalog or a dashboard

OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 on redhat 5.2. Database is 11.2.0.2 on the same box.
I use the HS as a basis for development sample. Now we want to delete the folder from catalog SH and the sound CountryManagers dashboard. However, after you remove HS catalogue or dashboard CountryManagers in presentation Service Admin page, then reload BI dashboard, received the error
access denied for user to path /users/administrator/_portal/dashboard layout.

What is the proper way to remove a dashboard or / and a catalog folder?

    Hi user,

    Two things:

    (1) check if the deleted dashboard is the default dashboard appears when a user log

    (2) open the Catalog Manager and goto Shared--> portal to ensure that there will be no message saying: "Access denied" so you get than analytical--> settings---> Administration---> manage Presentation catalog---> Shared--> folder checks the permissions button is grayed out or not if yes need to set the permission for this file (Portal)

    good way to remove

Manage interactive dashboards--> name of dashboard--> mark X
    or

Since the Catalog Manager, you can do this

  • Path of the catalog root

Hey guys, quick question: how one change the physical path of presentation catalog in the Settings/administrator of internal presentation Services section?

I'm messing around with the paint and samplesales repositories sample since I'm new to OBIEE. I got a samplesales running as the default RPD without problem, but the problem started when I tried to change to paint. I already have the necessary changes to both NQSConfig.INI and instanceconfig.xml to read the appropriate RPD file, but it still doesn't work. First of all, I'm still able to see in my dashboard of the 'remains' of samplesales: always able to see "Preview 01 00 ranks & Toppers 02 history & benches Tiering 03 & Distribution" on the upper frame next to my dashboard in the display of interactive dashboards. My guess is that it is because the path to the catalog of physical presentation is always configured as OracleBIData\web\catalog\samplesales\root.

    I missed something?

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Oscar

To load the catalog and sample sale deposit please specify

Star = samplesales.rpd, by default. (In the folder NQSConfig under [REPOSITORY]) and change the catalog path

    C:/OracleBIData/web/catalog/samplesales in the instanceconfig.xml file

To load deposits of paint and catalog please specify

Star = Paint.rpd, default value; (In the folder NQSConfig under [REPOSITORY]) and change the catalog path

    C:/OracleBIData/web/catalog/painting in the istanceconfig.xml file.

After completing the changes please restart the BI Server and presentation Services. Hopefully this will solve your problem

  • Confused about BI Publisher and BI Presentation Services

    Hello

I have read this document: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10415_01/doc/bi.1013/e12188/toc.htm

I have already created a user, role, and data sources, to integration with the presentation Services. Now, what is the relationship between the BI Publisher with services presentation BI? So far, I could only connect to the presentation of the Services as administrator. I tried to use "user" I created on BI Publisher to log on as a normal user presentation Services, but it is said that it is not valid. How can I set up a normal user for presentation Services create the report? (if that's the goal of it). What is the diff of the user on presentation of BI and BI Publisher Services? I'm still confused and so far I can not create a report on the responses =) would a person also refer to a document on a setup step by step if I could create a report?

    Thank you!

If you use BI_SERVER security, your BEEPER users will be authenticated against the installation of server of BI (RPD), which in itself is a table of data types, LDAP, authentication 4 IE select in the table where

If you go in Server BI, take care to ensure that your users are in the appropriate groups of the XMLP_XXXX. -See documentation for exact priv given to each group.

If you use the security of the OPE, you users BEEP etc..

    Offline / online:

Is offline when usually build you the repository 1st time when ready (overall consistency checks that is spent in the administration tool), you will put the RPD in the folder /Server/repository. Point the NQSConfig.INI to the RPD file and start the BI Server service. OBIEE takes RPD file, load into memory ready for use with BI presentation services. When you connect 'Online', you connect to the RPD in memory (and 'Live' in the service) when you make changes, they are immediately in effect (changes to presentation catalogs usually require a pressure on the "Reload server metadata" responses)
    * When BI services are on the rise, the RPD specified in NQSConfig is locked for editing, if you try and open with the administration tool you will get only the playback mode.

    What repository?
It's simple: when you connect online, you specify an ODBC connection that you have need to configure in data sources - ODBC type "Oracle BI Server", here you give the IP address / hostname of the BI server and what RPD you want to use, just specify the RPD in the ODBC connection IF you have several RPDS specified in the NQSConfig.INI , otherwise the 'failure' RPD will be selected.

Does that help? -Maybe that start a new thread for questions, this mark as being closed to help other users of the research.
    See you soon

  • Logging of errors on OBIEE dashboards

I use my current installation of OBIEE 10.1.3.4 for several months now and were able to successfully access BI Publisher and a from there, access the "Dashboard" and "responses". However, now I can only connect to BI Publisher and when I try to log on to 'dashboards' I get the following error:

The presentation BI Service is set to 'automatic', but I see that it is NOT started. Then when I try to launch it I get the msg "Windows didn't start the presentation of BI Service.

I see that the "connection refused", but is anyone enough poured into this kind of newspapers to help me determine what could be the problem? Or why the presentation BI Service does not start? Well, as already mentioned: the problem is probably caused by a corrupted presentation catalog. I don't know if there's a content in there, but it is perhaps better to create a new by:
    (1) create a new folder in D:\OracleBIData\web\catalog\, for example D:\OracleBIData\web\catalog\new
    (2) refer to this file in instanceconfig.xml between CatalogPath tags:
    D:/OracleBIData/web/catalog/don't

  • Restriction of user to OBIEE level data

    Hi Experts,

Need your help to implement the logic below in OBIEE.

I have a requirement where the user needs to display only specific data. Say for example:

    UserA Bangalore
    UserB Delhi
    Mumbai UserC

Once the user has connections he / she should be able to view only Bangalore and follows even with other users.
I have this user and stored in a table of relationship of region/city.
Please let me how can know I achieve this.

I have those created by the user and I'm unable to establish a link between the user and the city.

Please let me can know your suggestions on how I implement this.

    Appreciate your immediate response.

    Kind regards

    Hi Vidal..,.

    1. create the dashboard by the name of income by clicking on the button create the dashboard of
Settings-> Administration-> manage interactive dashboards. (The dashboard must be saved in the custom folder created by you in the shared folder).
    2. click on the permissions link to give permissions, who can access this dashboard. Click the done button
    3. click on manage presentation catalog. Click the folder that you created in the shared folder. Click the _portal folder. Here you can see the dashboards that you created. Click permissions to set the permissions.
4 disconnect. Restart the OC4J Server (not required for the safe side). Connection again and verify in Oracle interactive dashboard presents in the upper part of the answers page BI dashboard, there will be an entry by name back.

  • OBIEE 11g - the session variable, NQ_SESSION. VARIABLE, has no definition of value

    Hello

I see a strange problem when using the SESSION variable in OBIEE 11 g SPR for the level of data security.

The RPD, I created a new block with the PRODUCT session variable init and wise initialization line is defined.

SQL -SELECT DISTINCT 'PRODUCT', product_id OF BI_SECURITY WHERE UPPER (USER_ID) is UPPER(':USER')

Condition of data filter is defined on the tables & Dimension in the application role

Filter data based on products assigned to the user in the security table is applied.

User A has produced 15 assigned ID

User B has 100 product ID assigned

The user was able to connect to the presentation of OBIEE and see assigned product ID are filtered in the report.

But when a user B signs he sees below error, when you run the same report

[nQSError: 23006] The session variable, NQ_SESSION. PRODUCT, has no value definition

Is there a limit on the number of values in session variable can contain.

Why the error occurs only for user B?

    Has anyone encountered this problem?

    Thank you

We found there is nothing in the list of the product id is assigned to user B, so report OBIEE failed with [nQSError: 23006]

Adding a NULL value is NOT fixed INIT SQL block this problem with access from user B.

  • BI Publisher settings when using the OBIEE analysis as the data set

    Hello world

I've created a BEEP report with an existing OBIEE analysis as all data in the data model. I'm stuck with parameters.

In modeling data for BEEP Guide, section 2.8.1 the following text is displayed: "settings and the list of values are inherited from the analysis of BI and they display running." BI analysis must have default values defined for the filter variables. »

When he says of parameters and LOV is inherited from the analysis of BI, what is he referring to OBIEE analysis? And when he says "'filter variables" what is it referring to the analysis of OBIEE? " What should I do on the side of the OBIEE analysis, to activate the settings side BEEP report...?

    Thank you

I managed to get this working. The documentation is very vague. The BEEP report gets the parameters 'default' and LOV based on the presentation and the column variable in OBIEE analysis he uses as a data set. You can't see these variables as parameters on the BEEP report presentation.

If you need to use variables of presentation on OBIEE analysis, with a default value. Then create the report BEEP with this analysis, as the set of data. Don't create settings on the side TONE. The BEEP report on a dashboard and there you go, the BEEP report data will be filtered according to the value of the variable of presentation.

  • Security using groups of OBIEE 10 g

I managed to recover a user groups in the GROUPS of Session variables in my deposit.

Now, how can I use these groups to enable security of data in the dashboards / responds, that is, how can I be sure that users see data only according to their groups in reports?

You must create groups of Webcat manually as same as the groups created in the RPD.
Use of below once the connection using the administrator of responses
Settings-> administrator-> manage Presentation catalog users and groups-> create a new catalog group

  • Can not delete the Group of Catalog Manager

We have a user who cannot connect in the dashboards. It seems that the error is because his user name corresponds to a group or a user with the same name. I say 'user or group' as the name of the object's icon next to what I normally see with groups of catalog. However, the object is only visible when is choosing 'display users and groups '.

As an administrator, I try and delete this user/group only but it never deletes and no error message. How can I force delete this?

Remove Administration-> manage Presentation catalog groups and users
You can go to find or use "View users and groups" and then perform a search.

To remove a user, you can go to offline catalog manager and delete
