• How can I apply the automatic spelling correction for selected fields from the data entered by the users of forms?

  I would like to be able to apply the spelling correction of selected fields in the forms I created using LiveCycle Designer 8.2 at runtime, as opposed at design time.  I understand that version 8 LCD has a spelling corrector new OWL for form designers.  But I want to say check the data entered by users using Acrobat Reader.  And I want to apply the spelling correction automatically on only selected fields.

  Currently it seems that fill out my forms, users must know how manually right-click on each field, and then select "Spell Check" from the dialog box to check spelling mistakes in the data that the user entered into the form.

  I would like to discover a way to apply the correction spelling in certain areas, as well as I am able to do in forms created using Acrobat Pro.  Acrobat Pro, I can set a property for each field to require the spell check.  but this feature seems to be missing in Livecycle Designer.

  I have check the object model for XFA forms hoping I could find a method I can call a JavaScript file, check the spelling based on an event such as onBlur.  But I have not found a method of spelling.

  Am I missing something simple?  Is there a way to define each field out controls when a user is filling out the form using the free software Acrobat Reader?

  Our users are not sophisticated and forcing spell check each field separately just doesn't cut it...

  Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

  Hi David,

  Two things...

  At design time has set the locale of the form to that coming out Acrobat checks. For example the locale English (United States) and English (United Kingdom) have Spellers; However the English (Ireland) does not work. Check the warnings tab to see if the spell checking is supported for your locale.

  If your locale form supports spell checking, so you can go to the script of the button below.

  If you form local does NOT support spell checking, Stephanie has a great work-around to force spell (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2233945#2233945).

  Put a normal button on the form and in the click event must have the following:

  app.execMenuItem ("spelling: spell check");

  Which will open the checker spelling for all fields.  Thanks to Paul for extract all elements of menu available (http://forums.adobe.com/message/1912914#1912914).

• How to identify the buttons for forms in rows not columns

  Hello

  I have a long questionnaire with 100 lines.

  column 1 is the question.  Column 3, 4, 5 and 6 are responses of buttons (none, moderate, mild, extreme).  Buttons, which means only one answer allowed per line.

  There are headers for the buttons.    When this excel spreadsheet to adobe acrobat conversion - works.   But after creating a form buttons are labeled by column not online, then... they are not the true option by row buttons.   In other words, that one response per column is allowed, the opposite of what I want.

  How to solve this?   I change this by the original format or some global change?  There are a total of 100 buttons.  Much too laborious to change each one individually.

  Yet once you create an option button or check box field. Then copy this field 5 times and place as needed. This should give you a line of 5 boxes or option of checkboxes with the same name. Now for each button field, right-click the field and select the 'Properties' option in the context menu. Select the 'Options' tab and assign a different value to the value of the option or the value of the exports. This means that you EF the same value for the fields in a given column.

  As a suggestion, start with a small form and see how the system works.

  From my experience of conversion Excel 'shape' a PDF form is not the best approach.

  Trying to follow the online help, but it does not concern CBWMS.   A tutorial that I found for CS6 suggests that it is in the instructions > Data Objects > update record > record but in ACPE update form wizard, there is no "Data Objects" option in the Insert menu.

  By the way, I'm looking for the wizard not update directly the behavior which I know is in the server behaviors panel.

  EDIT: Just talk to Adobe 'support' of discussion about this and they have been absolutely useless. The directed me to the article that I have highlighted above as being for CS6, which is not useful because "Data Objects" is not in the Insert menu in ACPE, and when I said they gave me this link to try: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/

  Seriously?  It's the best I can hope Adobe support?  It was clear that the cooperative was just search on Google for answers as opposed to actually know the software they represent.  Really disappointing support.

  Database functionality has been removed from the PCOC. You can get a lot of coming back it by enabling the Extension of the legacy...

  Are what form wizard you referring?

  If you mean that the process of "forms > distribute forms", he gets the e-mail address of "Acrobat > Preferences > identity > Email Address ', but this is something your client needs to do, not you, for several reasons.

  I am building a form for my office that submits information to a database.  I would like to use the same form to add new information and modify existing information.  I also want the form to retain the data once it is submitted (i.e. If the user clicks on send and there is a required field blank, the form is re-load with the stored data.)

  I'm basically train make empty if the form is loaded from scratch, the default value of form make the previous form values if the form is re-charge after submission, or and use the query if a URL parameter is passed.

  Is it possible to make this work?  I don't want to have to write several versions of the form.

  Your half-way, you have just basiclly need to combine your two approaches.

  Set a collection of variables to fill the fields of the form.

  Then if there is a query is run, set this collection with the values of the query.  It is roughly as follows, and there are different ways of this skin for apporached different framework.

  Hello

  We use forms 11 GR 2 with Weblogic Server 10.3.6 with Database 11 GR 2.

  I am able to open two type of console successfully;

  1 oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control.     (for the database of monitoring)

  2 oracle Weblogic Server Administrator Console.   (for Weblogic Server monitoring)

  But I do not know how to open the console to forms (such as Oracle Enterprise Manager 11 g Fusion Middleware Control), for the monitoring/control activities forms/States, such as what user using what forms, killing shape etc user sessions.

  Please guide how to start console for forms/States.

  For now, the only way to get around this is to using other services like Adobe FormsCentral, Jotform or Wufoo form and inserting them by object > insert HTML code.

  Hello

  First check if you can successfully tnsping database on the command line. Or you are able to connect Toad, so that when you call Toad, you can see the location of the tnsnames.ora it file use. Just set the parameter TNS_ADMIN at the user level, so that the other application will also use the correct tnsnames.ora file for database name resolution.

• a search tool similar to google search suggestions for forms of oracle 11g

  Nice day
  I was wondering if there is a tool/plugin that would be something like google for a field search suggestions show on oracle 11g. He looking for a column in the database. The thing is, I have a column where new fields should be added each year, where they do not exist. It's a little complicated and tedious to search if the field exists manually, a tool that would give suggestions when writing a keyword would be really useful.
  If this is not possible, I would really appreciate all the advice I could get on how to make it easier for the user to look for already existing data

  Unfortunately, I can't tell much more about this bean that I pulled out a long time ago, and my memory is not as good as it was ;-)
  I don't even know if this bean is able to insert a word just typed by the user...

  But, as all the material on the site of Java Bean is free, you are also free to find a Java developer who could improve the existing code.
